Hats

Didn't you know? This is the new look :)
He's also wearing his new 4th of July +baseball shirt. They love them.

I-Touch, My-Touch

Brandon had his "touch" out for something and Kurt came up to him, took it away, made himself comfy, found his favorite game and proceeded to play. I came downstairs to see my 3 year old in the zone with Traffic Rush. It amazes me that he knows how to navigate the touch better than I do :)
He must have gotten uncomfortable in the chair because the next time I came in the room he'd moved down to the floor (just like Dad)
I LOVE his face. He must have done well :)

Hungry?

Apparently he didn't get enough at dinner, so he came back for more. :) This kid LOVES his chicken. If you ask him what he wants for breakfast (or lunch or dinner) he yells, "Chicken Nuggets!!"

Another lego creation

Kurt is excited about all the cool things he can make with legos that he couldn't make with his mega blocks.
The piano bench became his "runway" and kept taking off and landing

Brownies

Technically this belongs with the Daddy Day post, but I forgot... We made Dad his favorite brownie treat and Luke enjoyed them very much!
Can you see the marshmallow string? :)
One happy boy

Happy Day Daddy!

Thanks for all you do Daddy! Thanks for the snuggles, kisses, sugars, "love pats," and fun you give us. One day isn't enough to thank and celebrate our dad's and all they do (and have done) for us but we'll spoil you all day long anyway!
I always buy Brandon tools for Fathers Day - it seems a fitting gift. And since
our new house has a spacious garage I decided he needed an upgrade from the old hand saw if he's going to be able to build like I know he wants to. And look how excited he was! Success!
After the initial excitement of the present wore off, the first thing out of his mouth was, "Now just don't tell my mom you bought me a saw." :)

Playdough

We got these fun little playdough toys for Luke (the boys) with some of his birthday money. They love them! When we visited Brandon's parents ward in May, their nursery had such cool playdough toys (I was mostly impressed that they had playdough in the first place). And I thought the boys would have more fun with some accessories that were easy and fun to use. I was right :)
If you put some dough in the head and push down, the lion grows his mane
And the elephant grows ears, hair, a tail and his trunk
I won't bore you with pictures of all the things it does, but there were more animals, some rolling pins, a "pizza" cutter, some texturizing tools and a few cookie cutters.

Lego's

Toys'R'Us had a lego "fun day" and so we drove up for some fun. :) Kurt's been really obsessed with lego's since our last visit to Grammy Brooke's house (she has a HUGE bucket of them and he really wanted to take them home with him). So they got to play and build and then take their creations home with them.
Luke's is on the left and Kurt's in on the right

Louis and Greta

We finally got together with Louis and Greta! It was a great night of fun and laughs!
They have a cool little pool that the boys had a great time in
Kurt riding his horse
Kurt roped Greta into pitching to him...all night long :)
Here he is getting her loaded up with enough "baseballs"
Then they juggled for us
Then we introduced them to the S'more
Greta had a bit of trouble with hers
And after basically having to force Louis to try his, he had a couple issues too
Not to be outdone, Luke assembled a S'more of his own
Then we finished the evening off with a BANG! okay, a few sparkles...
I don't know why Louis had all this at his house, but the boys sure had a great time.

Toto, We're not in Kansas anymore...

I'm pretty sure this wasn't classified as a tornado, but it sure looked like one. It was only on our side of town and it was over in 15 minutes.
We came out to our car, running fast to get out of the rain and Kurt asked me what happened to the tree. I couldn't figure out what he was talking about and was trying to get the boys buckled in, but he kept asking and asking. So finally I looked and saw tree branches surrounding our car - even underneath our car. It was amazing that none of them even scratched our car.
(we were parked right where this audi is - that branch was completely underneath our car)
I thought it was weird, but we were in a hurry to get back home so off we went. We came to our street and saw this blocking our way...
I turned right as the police man instructed and then I started to panic. Every corner and street was in disarray. Here are some more things I saw as I tried to find an open road to our house.
When we finally found an open path to our house and pulled in we were relieved to see that nothing had happened. We had a few extra garbage cans in our yard and lost our power for 12 hours, but we were safe.

Snuggle Buddies

I pushed their beds together because Luke wouldn't stay in his own bed. I thought it would be enough if they were right next to each other. Apparently I was wrong. :)

Funny Face

We can't remember the story behind this look...
(I think he looks like Foston in the top one)

New Park Addition

The city opened a new splash area at one of the parks. Yea! A fun and safe place to stay cool this summer! Our first outing was a huge hit with Kurt, but more of a warm up for Luke. He was more content to eat the popsicles than play in the water.
He still likes to walk around all the water, but he ventures in to play now too.
You have to wait in line for this most of the time, but Kurt loves it and will wait very patiently
He tries to get through this without his feet hitting the streams of water
He's "drinking" the water here
So he can spit it out here
