If you are not a native, what is a SLC trip without going to Temple Square? I was pretty excited to go back because it has been years since I have last been. It is such a wonderful place to be. As we were walking up the spiral ramp to see the Christus, Cole says, "Mom, are we going to heaven?" I said, "well, kind of, a replica of heaven kind of." Then he says, "well, where is Jesus then?" Right as he asked that, we rounded to the top. I said, pointing at the Christus, "right there". He sat there and stared at Christ for a couple of minutes. Later as we were walking around we came to the story of the Good Samaratin display. He had been walking ahead of me with someone else (I don't know who). I had caught up to him and he said, "the robbers beat him up." so then we went over the story again, a few times actually, to show how the man was helped by the good samaratin and it all worked out okay. Just before we left, he hurried and stuck his hand in to touch the people. He was really upset by that display. He talked about it the rest of the time there. It was kind of interesting to watch him there. I have always thought he was kind of sensative to the spirit from some other things in his life that have been said and done but it still surprises me how sensative he is to it. I am glad though. I love Temple Square and I know that won't be my last visit there.
