Paw Patrol Birthday Wishes

Hello Friends,

Happy Friday! This week sure flew by...we had quarterly testing a couple days, a field trip to the middle school, I had car duty after school every day, and then I have been making some Easter treats late at night. Overall, it was a productive week, but so much more to still do before end of the year exams. Yikes...we are NOT ready yet!

A co-worker asked my to make her grandson a personalized birthday card...his birthday is April 1st and can you guess how old he is going to be? If you guessed 3 then you are correct. His favorite show is Paw Patrol, which I don't think I have ever seen but she sent me a picture. I picked out the dalmation wearing a fireman's hat.

I cut the Create a Critter dalmatian on my Cricut. I changed the hat slightly...it had a 1 on a badge, but I needed a 3. His name fit on the brim perfectly.

The stamped sentiment is from Jaded Blossom. The pattern paper is by The Paper Studio ~ Candy Confetti stack. The black enamel dots are from my stash.
If you are looking to join any challenges this weekend you should stop by Craftaholics R Us. The theme is enamel dots. I used three black ones on mine.

I hope your weekend is off to a wonderful start.

Thankful for Fall Blog Hop

Welcome to the Thankful for Fall Blog Hop!
This hop is all about the beauty of Fall and being thankful for what we do have. Enjoy the creativity, get inspired, share some crafty love, and then randomly thank some one.

There are nine stops and you won't want to miss any of them! I am the first, Carson's Creations. There is also a complete line-up at the end of this post just in case you need it.

What would a hop be without Blog Candy?!?! Since each of use are thankful for our crafty friends, each blog has a bit of candy that needs to be won. Thank goodness for candy!

Here's How:
Be sure to be a FOLLOWER and COMMENT on each blog.
If you are a follower, your comment could be randomly drawn to win some fantastic prizes! Read each blog post carefully to see what is being offered at each stop along the way!

Here is my project:

After making my students those pretzels and M&M treats last week, they wanted more. Since I am very thankful for the hard working class that I have this year, I made them another surprise. 1 x 8" skinny bag treats filled with milk chocolate M & Ms.

I used Plantin SchoolBook Cricut cartridge to cut the tags at 1 1/2".

I cut the pumpkins on my Cameo. The two-sided pattern paper made it easy to change the look of the pumpkins. The brown tins came from the dollar spot at Target.

The stamped sentiment is by Jaded Blossom ~ Let's Talk Turkey stamp set. Brown polka dot ribbon is from Michaels.

This is the prize being offered on my page:
A surprise package of crafting goodies

Remember to win, you need to be a follower of my blog and leave a comment!
You have until Sunday night, November 20th at 8:00 pm EST to hop along with us! All winners will be announced on Monday, November 21st on each individual blog. The winners will also be posted on Carson's Creation Facebook page after all the winner's posts go live on each blog.

Gobble Gobble, Turkey Wobble

Happy Wednesday! It's Hump Day!

No camel here, but I have a turkey who is not as excited as me that Thanksgiving is coming. I am looking forward to a long, relaxing weekend. My hubby and I will also be celebrating our anniversary on Thanksgiving Day this year. 23 years and many more to go!

This Week's Challenge...

Here is my Design Team project...

I used the turkey from Animal Kingdom Cricut cartridge and cut him at 3". I little bit of red Skittles for his wattle and a small twine bow for his neck.

Turkey sounds on the left.  I cut them at 1/2".

Now, I hope you will  join us this week for the Paper Play Sketches challenge. Be sure to visit the other Design Team members and share some crafty love!

Thanks again for stopping by!

Turkey Day Treats

Hello Everyone!

Hope you are enjoying your Sunday. Make the most of it since it is flying by quickly. My daughter came home this weekend and we went shopping yesterday (hubby thought she needed some warmer clothes for those colder days coming). We got super lucky at Target and found TONS of dollar spot goodies for 90% off and the Fall/Halloween candy was 70% off. My daughter decided she wanted to give her boyfriend's family a basket for Thanksgiving.

She bought the basket at Hobby Lobby, the ribbon was from Joanns, and I created the tag for her.

I cut the tag from the Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge (a favorite) at 3 1/4", the acorn was cut on my Cameo (but I don't know who it is by), and the stamped sentiment is Jaded Blossom ~ Let's Talk Turkey. I used Archival Ink in Potting Soil by Ranger for the sentiment.

I think his family will like it...that is if my hubby doesn't eat all the candy before then!

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Fun Sized Halloween Treats

Happy Halloween!

We have school today, so I hope the kids are ready to learn and have no plans to play any tricks. If they do...no treats for them! Eeek! I am super excited to give these out at the end of the day to each of my students...they really are a great bunch. I found all the fun sized treats at Michaels this past Saturday for 70% off. What a deal! Notepads, pumpkin erasers, and bubble wands.

I cut all the 3" tags from the Plantin School Cricut cartridge. First, I cut the shadow in black and then the regular tag in white. The crackled background stamp is from Jaded Blossom ~ Halloween Paint Splatters set.  I stamped the sentiment from Jaded Blossom's Halloween Treats 2 in orange ink and then again in black. The mini black bats are from a Martha Stewart edge punch.

Purple Haze organza ribbon and orange/white twine for a bow

I made 20 treats bags, which are all stuffed and ready to be given out.

Hope you have a spook-tacular day!

Fight for a Cure...Think Pink

Hello Diva Fans,

Today I am sharing the new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas. I hope you will join us this week since this is an important and meaningful challenge.

This Week's Challenge...
Think Pink
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in the United States (other than skin cancer). But millions of women are surviving the disease thanks in part to early detection and improvements in treatment.

Here is my Design Team project...
A dark pink tumbler (from the Dollar Tree) personalized with a light pink ribbon. I cut the vinyl on my Cricut at 4''. I peeled the negative around the shape of the ribbon, and then used transfer tape to apply the vinyl to the center of the cup.

The tag was cut from Plantin Schoolbook at 3 1/2". The ribbon was cut from the Pink Journey Cricut cartridge at 2 3/4". The stamped sentiment is from the Jaded Blossom stamp set ~ Fight for a Cure.

The Hershey Kisses (wrapped in pink foil) have two different sentiments on the bottom, which is part of Fight for a Cure stamp set. I alternated between white and kraft paper with Hope and Faith.
Other Challenges:
Allsorts ~ Let's Make It Pink
In the Pink ~ Ribbon and/or Bows
Craft Your Passion ~ Always Anything Goes

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Think Pinkchallenge.

Enjoy your day!

Secret Pal Gift Bags for the Season

Happy Friday!

The weekend is just around the corner and I am looking forward to a couple days off. My class is wonderful and we work hard everyday, but some crafting time is what I need! No more papers to grade, no more teacher editions, just some card stock and adhesive. How about you?

Today I'd like to share a few more treat bags that I made for our Secret Pal activity that we do at school. First, it is voluntary and it last all school year. We are required to give secret gifts each month with a limit of $15 per month. I like to buy 2 or 3 small gifts every other week for my secret pal. It sure cheers you up when you get a surprise.

This is the crow behind pumpkin file by Miss Kate Cuttables. I used my Cameo to cut the layers, inked the edges, and added wiggly eyes to the crow.

The tag was cut on my Cricut using Plantin Schoolbook cartridge. The stamped sentiment is by Bug Bites ~ Autumn Splendor set.

Eek! A couple more!

The Halloween vampire owl is by Miss Kate Cuttables.  Don't you love how big his eyes are?

Looking sharp in his tuxedo!

I got these orange and burgundy ribbons at Walmart after last season. They are actually great quality and tied nicely on my bow maker. This stamped sentiment is from Hampton Arts ~ Micheals 50% off.

Lastly, a yummy vampire cupcake by Miss Kate Cuttables. The stamped sentiment is by Jaded Blossom ~ Halloween Signs set.

Hope you have a fabulous day and enjoy your weekend too!

Happy Birthday at Die Cuttin' Divas

Hello Diva Fans,
Today I am sharing the new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas. I hope you will join us this week since this is a fun challenge!

This Week's Challenge...
Birthday

Here is my Design Team project...
Hubby asked me to make him a birthday card for his father. He even asked a few days ahead instead the day before! First, I had to think about the design since I wanted it to be masculine, so I decided on the colors blue and brown. Distressed embossing folder added a bit of texture to the solid card stock.

I used MFT stitched dies for the mats and a circle die to cut the window. Happy Birthday was cut with my Cricut Expression~ Birthday Bash cartridge. The stars were cut with my Cuttlebug ~ MFT Blueprints.

Kraft color twine to match the sentiment and stars and Latte skittles by Carri to finish the bottom portion.

Make a birthday wish with all the stars!
Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Birthdaychallenge. The other design team members did a fantastic job sending birthday wishes. Be sure to check out the variety!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Sunday!

Today is not only Father's Day, but Dorm Move-In Day. We will be spending the day together moving our "little" girl towards the next step of becoming independent. An exciting journey awaits her these next few years.

My hubby asked me the other day to make his father a card. Of course, he knew I would. I wanted a masculine look, but something a little different. That is when I decided to try these metal sheets I had in my stash! I first cut a 1" strip and embossed it in the Cuttlebug with a Tim Holtz distressed pattern. Then I cut the letters with my Cricut.

I used the following sketch from Jo's Scrap Shack.

I wrapped some gold sewing thread and randomly taped it on the backside of the MFT stitched circle. Latte skittles by Carri were glued in the upper right corner.
Other Materials:
DCWV pattern paper ~ the Natural Stack

Other Challenges:
4 Crafty Chicks ~ Metal
Hiding in My Craft Room ~ Masculine

Hope you make this a wonderful Father's Day for that special man in your life.

Bonjour Glitzy Glitter

Hello Everyone,

Happy Friday! Hope you have enjoyed your week and are ready for the weekend. Do you have any plans? I don't think we have anything planned for tomorrow, but Sunday is dorm move-in day. We shall see if that is a happy or sad day.

At the beginning of the week I watched My Favorite Thing's Camp Create video ~ Glitzy Glitter. I was interested in trying the tips that were suggested, so I ran to the store and bought some Swifters. Needless to say...I had glitter every where, but it was still fun!

I used the following sketch from Sketch Saturday.

I cut the MFT Eiffel Tower on double sided adhesive paper with my Cuttlebug. Then I sprinkled the black glitter and rubbed it with my finger. That part worked really well.

I cut the word Bonjour from my Sentimental Cricut cartridge at 1" and then added black glitter skittles by Carri.

Here is my first badge that I have earned! Yay!
Other Materials:
black cardstock
My Mind's Eye grid pattern paper
Teresa Collins passport stamp paper
tea dye distress ink for edges

Other Challenges:
Creative Corner ~ Glittermania

Time to earn another badge or two! Looks like there is watercolor, die-cutting, and shakers to still participate in. Hmmm? Which one to do next?

Hope you will come back to find out!

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back and thanks for stopping by yesterday for Jo's 4th Blogoversary (if you haven't yet you can just scroll down).  Today I am sharing the new challenge at Paper Play SketchesIt's a great way to test your creativity since the layout is provided, but you can put your own twist on it...choose your colors, image, embellishments. Give it a try!

This Week's Challenge is...

Here is my Design Team project...
I have had this pattern paper in my stash for while and saved it because once you cut it you don't have it any more. I love the bold colors and pretty flowers. I wasn't sure about adding the lace at first, but decided to keep it. I wanted a feminine touch. What do you think?

The trio of flowers is part of a svg file from KaDoodle Bug Design ~ Irish Sheep. The sentiment thanks was cut with my Cricut Expression ~ "Just Because" Cards cartridge.
Now, I hope you will  join us this week for the Paper Play Sketch challenge. Be sure to visit the design Team members since there is a wide variety of inspiration!

Let's Celebrate with a Green Birthday

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back and thanks for stopping by on this wondrous Wednesday.  Today I am sharing the new challenges at both DoubleClick Skittles and Paper Play Sketches. It's so fun when you can combine challenges, and using a sketch is the perfect way!

This Week's Challenges are...

I just had to make another birthday card...I never have extras in my basket, but it always seems someone in the house needs one at the last minute.

I used the Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge for the sentiment. I bet my Expression was feeling good being used! The flowers are stickers by K&Company, which were in my stash.

Banners are fun and easy. The triangular pieces were cut with a die by We R Memory Keepers. I used lettuce green skittles by DoubleClick, then added bows on the ends.
Now, I hope you will  join us this week for Paper Play Sketch and/or the "Green" challenge at DoubleClick Skittles. Be sure to visit all the design Team members since there is so much inspiration!

September Challenge at Jaded Blossom

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today is a SUPER exciting day! It is my first day as this month's Jaded Blossom's Guest Designer. I have the honor of showcasing the September Release.

It is time for the September Monthly Challenge.
Theme: Fall Colors

Here is my project:
When I think of Fall colors I think of reds, oranges, yellows, and browns...the colors of leaves changing. What better way to celebrate the seasons changing than with Fall M&Ms and a fun owl.

I used the Kind Thanks stamp set for the 1" top. This is a fabulous set since it has so many different ways of saying thank you. It is going to be perfect with all the upcoming holidays!

The tag was cut from the Scallop Slider & Topper Die. I used a Glue Dot to adhere it to the candy tube. The over-sized bow ties the fall colors together with the candy pieces.

I used the Jaded Blossom 1"x 6" clear tube...what a great container to hold so many different types of candy. The top pops on tightly keeping the candy fresh!

This month's JB Monthly Spotlight stamp set is Halloween Treats. It is on sale all month long for $10.99. Get your set today before they run out at that price!

Remember to share all your Jaded Blossom projects in the Garden of Creativity FB group and be sure to check out ALL their great products in the JB store.

Hope you will join this month's Jaded Blossom challenge...Fall Colors. Can't wait to see what you create! Looking forward to sharing the September Release! It's coming soon!
