Happy Easter Lilies!

Happy Kitchen Sink Monday!! I was in the spring/easter mood when I sat down to do my Kitchen Sink card for today, so I pulled out the Multi Step Lilies set, and looked up the Midnight madness sketch for this week, and go to stamping!

The flowers were stamped with the following color recipe:
Step 1: Pretty in Pink; Step 2: Pretty in Pink; Step 3: Regal Rose; Step 4: Rose Red; Step 5: Ruby Red

The leaf and stem was stamped as follows:
Step 1: Mellow Moss; Step 2: Old Olive; Step 3: Old Olive

I then cut the image out with a Labels 4 Nestabilities and the DPs used as the base, and behind the main image are from Basic Grey's Porcelain package. To finish off the card, I added some skinny pink satin ribbon across the top and bottom of the main image panel, threaded through some silver brads, and embellished with some large and small pink crystal brads.
I have to tell you all about the wonderful weekend I had!! The owner of Kitchen Sink, Maria and her friend Traci came into town for the Craft and Rubber Stamping expo! I was able to spend the whole day with them on Saturday...starting with breakfast, and ending with dessert at Cracker Barrel!! I also got to meet another fellow stamper who lives about an hour from me at the expo, Sabrina! It was just so nice spending the day with you all, and being able to show Maria and Traci around town...to the LSS and out for some Mexican food! Thank you so much Maria and Traci for sharing your day with me! :)

Please head on over to see what the other crew members have created for you!!

Home Sweet Nest??

I am just in LOVE with this Nest set from Our Daily Bread Designs!! I started stamping one card with it yesterday and ended up doing two!!

My first card uses the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #41. This sketch is just perfect to display this wonderful Basic Grey Origins DP!! The image was colored with copics, and then adorned with some buttons in the corners. To finish off the card, I added the sentiment!

My second card's image was also colored with copics, only this time the nest is a bit lighter in color. The clouds in the background and on the base layer were created by masking and sponging. The verse is stamped on some DP which is from the Deja View Timeless collection. To finish off the card, I added some brown grosgrain ribbon tied to the side and fastened with a filigree and blue crystal brad, and a photo corner with additional blue gems!

Thanks so much for visiting! I hope you have a wonderful day!

ODBDSLC2 - Vintage Chickadee

I made this card for this week's ODBDSLC2 challenge - to use Red or Pink and Bling! When I saw these wonderful bird sets from Our Daily Bread Designs, I knew that I had to use one of them with this wonderful birdcage paper from Basic Grey's Porcelain DP!!

I stamped an colored the image with copics, and then sponged around the image with some tattered rose and worn lipstick distress inks. I then framed the image with some vellum paper pierced with an Ornare template, which you can see a bit better on this close up picture. To finish off the card, I added a bit of fun pink fibers and some flourished pearls from Zva Creative.

Thanks so much for visiting! Have a wonderful day!!

Great Big Bear Hugs!!

Happy Kitchen Sink Monday!! I have had this adorable get well set for quite some time now and have not used it yet! I know!! So I figured today would be as good as any to ink it up!

LOVE this adorable teddy bear! He is stamped with Tea Dye, Brushed Corduroy stamped off, Brushed Corduroy and Walnut Stained distressed inks. The sketch I used for this card is loosely based on this past week's Midnight Madness sketch challenge #40. The DP is from Basic Grey's Porcelain packaged, and has been punched with a Martha Steward Border punch. The red base was cuttlebugged with the swiss dots folder. To finish off the card, I added the sentiment stamped in firebrick red distress ink, some red taffeta ribbon, and some buttons.

Please head on over to see what the other crew members have created for you!!

ISC February Release is TODAY!!

Welcome! Today is the day that Innovative Stamp Creation releases three new sets!

I have two cards to share with you today! The first uses the Delicate Daisy set! I stamped the daisy on some Tim Holtz grunge paper and sponged it with some scattered straw and spiced marmalade distress ink. The layer of so saffron card stock behind the flower has been distressed with both spiced marmalade and walnut stain distress inks. The base panel has been doubled bugged (where I used to different embossing folder, and inked them with some walnut stain distress ink).

To finish off the card, I added some antique brass brads, and the sentiment accented with the circle image in this set!

My second card uses the Dandelions set. I stamped the image in walnut stain distress ink and then sponged the panel with shabby shutters and mustard seed distress inks. I then stamped the frame image on some Tim Holtz Grungebord inked with peeled paint and brushed corduroy distress inks. Once I framed the image I then added some range glossy accents over the image to give a look as if it behind glass.

To finish off the card, I paired it with some Basic Grey Origins DP, brown twill ribbon, scattered straw distress stickles in the center of the flower, and yellow gems.

Mini Kitten Valentines

Happy Kitchen Sink Monday!! Today I have decided to combine my Kitchen Sink Monday post with this week's Saturday Spotlight Hidden Potential challenge (SSHP17) - a tiny tiny challenge!

My DD wanted to make her own valentines this year, and this is what we came up with. She just LOVES this kitten image from the Multi Step Kittens and Pup set. Here we used some scalloped circle Nestabilities to create the base of the card, and to accent the kitten image. The white base was embossed with a cuttlebug folder, and to finish off this simple little card, we added a bit of coordinating ribbon. She just loved how these turned out and can not wait to give them to her friends on Friday!

Please head on over to see what the other crew members have created for you!!

FTTC52F - My Favorite Flourishes Stamp Set!

This is a sample for Maki's "favorite stamp set" challenge (FTTC52F) Flourishes Timeless Tuesday! Please check out the Flourishes Anniversary Celebration post to find out how to play along!

The image I used for this card is from my most favorite set Thank You set! Tulips are my favorite flower, so that would explain why this is my favorite set! I stamped the image with palette black ink and then colored it with copics. I used the Labels Five Nestabilities for the main image panel. I created my own DP by using the background set included with this set. To finish off the card, I dry embossed the base with a cuttlebug EF, added some deep red gems, and some red satin ribbon tied in a tailored bow!

Thanks so much for visiting! Have a wonderful day!

The image for this card is from the Rock-a-Bye set. I stamped the image with palette black ink and color it with copics. The image panel was cut out using the Labels Eight Nestabilities, and the corners of the sentiment were rounded with my Zutter 1/2" corner rounder. The DP is from Basic Grey's Porcelain collection, and in a total Silke fashion, I used a white card base for my mostly pink card!! To finish off the card, I added some purely pomegranate double stitched ribbon and some pink gems!

The image for this card is from the DIY Topiary set. I stamped the topiary image on some green DP from the Basic Grey Origins collection, and the base in some brown paper from the same collection. I then cut it out and popped it up on the same stamped image on the white image panel. I then colored the background sky and ground with copic markers. Now on to my cards!

My first card uses the Sing for Joy set. I just love this beautiful Cardinal image. However, I of course had to be different and turn him into a Blue Jay!! I colored him with copics, sponged a bit for some sky, and cut out the image with a Labels 2 Nestabilies. The DP is from Deja View's Timeless paper stack, and to finish off the card, I added some eyelets in two corners and wove some brown thin twill ribbon tied off into a bow, and some light blue crystals in the opposite corners!

My second card uses the You Will Find Refuge set! Isn't this little chickadee just sooo sweet!! I used the Grid Technique on this card. Such a super simple technique to add just a bit of texture to your card! Once I created my grid, I stamped my image with palette black and colored with copics. I then sponged the whole image panel with some peeled paint distress ink. The card was then finished off with some wide satin olive ribbon, and Basic Grey Origins DP!

My secret Scripture words are holes and...From here, hop to Kathy's Blog!

KSCC22 - Creating your own DP!!

Happy Kitchen Sink Monday!! One of my most favorite things to do with Kitchen Sink Stamps is to create my own Designer Paper!! These stamps just lend themselves to this type of stamping, so let your imaginations go with this Month's KSCC22 hosted by the lovely Maki - which is to create your own DP! *

I created my DP using the fabulous Multi Step Daisy set, which was just brought out of retirement last month! I stamped my Daisies in the order of step 3 using tangerine tango, step 2 using pumpkin pie and step 1 using pumpkin pie again. I then stamped the step 4 center image with chocolate chip ink. Stamping this way makes is waaaay easier to match up all of the petals.

I then tore the right edge of paper, and inked the whole thing with some Spiced Marmalade distress ink, and inked the edges with a bit of Walnut Stain distress ink. I did the same with my sentiment layer. To finish off the card, I added some wide grosgrain brown ribbon, and orange gems by the sentiment and in the center of each full flower!

Please head on over to see what the other crew members have created for you!!
