Summer Fun - Fancy Flip Flops!

Hello! Well it is officially Summer and we have been doing a Summer Fun theme on the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog all week, and now it is my turn! I bought these purple flip flops for $2, and the red and white stripped flip flops at the $1 spot at Target. While they are a fine the way they were, I just had to add some ribbon to dress them up a bit for my DD!! :)

For the Purple ones, I have added some light blue satin ribbon around the straps. for the center, I added some Grape Satin with Flowers in the center and then placed a little butterfly button over that! So super simple, but they went from plain purple to "Oh mom! I love them!!" :)

The 4th of July flip flops were created with ribbons from this month's Ribbon Club assortment - the Red and Blue Diamond Satin Ribbons! I added the flag button in the center with some stretchy cord, so they can be easily removed, so that after the 4th, I can add an adorable lady bug button instead! :)

Thanks so much for visiting today! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Multi-Page RIbbon Bookmark!

Hello, it's Connie here and I have such a fun project to share with you today! I love ribbon bookmarks, and this one is no exception. Here I have created a multi page ribbon bookmark.

I have used the reversible brown and blue 1/4" ribbon from the Really Reasonable Ribbon store. I created the top of the bookmark with a spellbinders label die, and the verse, which is from the Serve the Lord stamp set from Our Daily Bread Designs. I then added 5 pieces of the 1/4" ribbon tied with a bead
at the end, along with 1" by 3" strip of paper.

To assemble the bookmark you will want to make a sandwich. Start with the back side of your bookmark topper, next place the 1"x3" piece of paper on the back so that most of the srip is below the topper, next add the 5 pieces of ribbon, and then cover them all with the front design of the topper.

To use this type of bookmark, you will need a book with a binding/a hard covered book. Once the bookmark is put together, place the 1" x 3" strip of paper portion of the bookmark in the binding of the book, so that you can see the top of the bookmark, along with the ribbon strands. You can then take each of the ribbon
strands to mark 5 different pages within to book!

I hope you have enjoyed my project today! Thanks so much for visiting today! Have a great day!

Mother - Altered Box

Hello! I had this box of chocolates that I was planning on giving my mom for her birthday this year, but I had a problem...the box was just plane old white! I CAN'T have that! LOL!! So I decided to alter it a bit!

The challenge over on the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog this week is to use hand written journaling/sentiments. It is sponsored by Sakura, and I have used their wonderful Moonlight pens to write my "Mother" sentiment. I have also used the wonderful diamond satin ribbon from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store!

The amazing image is newly released from Our Daily Bread Designs called Serve the Lord. I colored the image with copics and cut it out with the matching die, also from ODBD.

When I gave it to my mom, she just LOVED it...oh and she thought I decorated it nicely too! LOL!! :)

Hope you have a wonderful day!

If you are here from Debbie's wonderful blog, you are in the right place! If not, you may want to start over at the Flower Soft Blog, so you don't miss anything!

The sentiment is from the Ready 4 Any Holiday set from Kitchen Sink Stamps stamped onto the ribbon tag die cut from spellbinders. To finish off the card, I added a couple of gold stars with some red gems!

Now to continue on, you will want to hop on over to Gini's amazing blog! Don't forget to answer the question on the RRR blog at the end of the hop for your chance to will some prizes from both RRR and Flowersoft!!
