Happy Halloween! We started the day with pumpkin "jack-o-lantern" pancakes, "bloody eyeball" fried eggs (don't worry-- just ketchup), and maple bacon. Then, we went shopping and out to a nice lunch at Texas Roadhouse. Hallie wore her kitty-cat ears for this excursion and frequently "meowed" to passersby.
Tonight we had a fun time with our little Cinderella. This was the first year that she officially "trick-or-treated." To start the night, Chris took Hallie to the ward "trunk-or-treat" while I finished up at work. Then, when they returned we all set out for a little "treating" on our street. It was so fun to watch Hallie. She was as precocious as can be. Throughout the day we tried to explain the process of how it worked. She caught on very quickly once the candy was presented. She was eager with her "trick or treat!" and "thanks!" She even threw in her own lingo like "Hi, trick or treat!" (as if it was someone's name) and to the households with canines "Hi doggy! I'm good, doggy." We totally enjoyed ourselves as parents . . . and now we get to enjoy her candy!
NOTE: As for our video, please consider it an audio clip and ignore the actual footage. It obviously wasn't good lighting to begin with and then it published sideways.
