Red, White and Blue Ribbon Commemorate 911

Real quick I want to tell you about this card since today marks 20 years since 911.

The die-cuts: scappled circles in red by Spellbinders and the inside white one is by Gina Marie, It was a quit out of an upcoming card. (Oops. I keep falling asleep.)

The ribbon in the center is the front of a pin. I had hubby get rid of the backing and I adhered it to the die-cut.

USA Card

I found this flag stamp in a box and thought it was perfect for the red, white and blue theme for the ATC swap this month.

I colored the flag and Lawn Fawn letter stamps in with distress markers before huffing on them and stamping on white cardstock. I did try to do the same thing with the fireworks stamps but it's not very noticeable. What else isn't very noticeable is the dry embossed star background on the white cardstock. Oh well. The corner is blue vellum that I ran through the Xyron sticker maker. The large red circle is a corduroy brad. It's huge, which I love using on ATC's rather than cards or scrapbook layouts.

The picture looks like poo but what can I do when the sun won't shine. We have been living under a gray cloud for over a week. Hate it! Why do I live here, I ask myself constantly? Oh yeah, most of my family (even though some I could stand to move away from) and friends are here.
I tried doing lighting in my office and got yelled at for removing lamps from the living room. So I asked for an over my head lighting, just something that would clip onto my bookshelf and I got the look followed by "I put all new lighting in that room. What do you mean there's a shadow?" Lol-whatever. Anyone got any suggestions without spending a ton?
