The Stab-in-the-Back is the most fulfilling narrative that defeated political campaigns adopt.
In 2000, Al Gore "lost" the Presidency because too many Floridians voted for Ralph Nader. That's the easy sloppy narrative that many progressives seem to believe when the truth is that Gore ran a poor campaign and Republicans in Florida shut down the recount so that Gore v. Bush would be decided by the Reactionary Heavy SCOTUS. Which dutifully handed the Presidency to the Worst Man to ever hold the office.
Of course, in the alternate US where the winner of the 2000 Presidential election, Al Gore, took office September 11th would have led to an immediate call for Impeachment and a Right-Wing Military Coup attempt led by Lt. General William Boykin to overthrown President Gore would follow.
Right-Wing fanatics are super mad that Ken Cuccinelli lost to Terry McAuliffe in Virginia. It can't be because of the reprehensible beliefs which Cuccinelli and his choice for Lt. Governor espoused.
No no! It's because Hillary Clinton got a "Fake Libertarian" onto the ballot who siphoned votes away from Cuccinelli and stole the election.
First off, Libertarianism was founded to dupe working class white people into voting against their interests. In 1972 the term "Libertarian" barely won the nod as title of the Party over "New Liberal Party".
In 1980 David H. Koch, of the Koch Brothers, was the Libertarian VP nominee. The party received 1% of the Nationwide vote.
Since, then Libertarians have worked hard to reinvent themselves to be palatable to left-wingers. But, Libertarian is just a scam term Ultra Reactionary's use to dupe middle class people to vote to enslave themselves into Corporate Bondage and Wage Slavery.
Now, any Libertarian who espouses the I vote Libertarian because I want to be left alone! There's No such thing as a Free Lunch! The principle of Zero-Aggression! Ron Paul!!! is either woefully misinformed or a right-wing liar.
Ron Paul has no problem with the Government oppressing you. He just wants the Power of Oppression to be vested in the Hands of the States instead of the Federal Government. And Oppression was exactly what Ken Cuccinelli promised.
Ken Cuccinelli, whom Ron Paul not only endorsed but campaigned for, asserted as Attorney General that the 2003 SCOTUS decision Lawrence v. Texas did apply to Virginia. He attempted to get Sodomy Laws reapplied to the State and wanted to arrest Men and Women who engaged in Sexual acts he deemed abnormal. Demanding that local Law Enforcement officers invade peoples' homes and conduct wide-ranging inspections into their sexual mores.
Cuccinelli also declared his administration would reduce Virginia Women to broodmare status and considered any Federal law which helped to provide health care to women to be illegal and unconstitutional.
But, of course, that's not a problem for Libertarians, who are overwhelmingly young white males, who could care less about women's issues and declare themselves Libertarians as an expression of the fury that White Male Privilege no longer holds Supremacy in America.
How's your principle of Zero Aggression going to hold up when David Koch dumps 4000 tons of Petcoke next to your house one day? Who will you turn to?
And therein lies the whole tale of Libertarianism. The Young White (Protestant) Males can not envision a day when the Corporate Plutocracy treats them the same way it treats minorities and women.
It may be typical of the pro-Obama Dungeons & Dragons crowd to disparage a fellow countryman's memory of war from the comfort of mom's basement.

Corporate Slavery starts with your Facebook Password
Corporate Dominance of Americans is increasingly becoming a reality.
Republicans claim to loathe the government. The only part of the Government Republicans hate are those laws and governmental bodies which help the poor, protect the weak and empower the 99% against the Plutocracy. Anything which serves to aid or protect individuals is hateful to Right-Wingers. But, what Republicans do love is unbridled Corporate Hegemony and Corporations unrestrained by anything which hampers their acquisition of Power and Money.
Thus, while we have protections from the Government, Americans increasingly have no protections from the oppression by Corpoate Neo-Feudalism and their servile Republican lapdogs across the Nation.
There is no point discussing this with some Right-Wingers who have so swallowed the lies of the Republican Party as to not see the chains of Wage Slavery and Corporate Bondage fastened around their necks.
When Rand Paul or Ron Paul state they wouldn't have voted for the Civil Rights Act or dance around it's repeal, it is because of the constraints it puts upon businesses. A private business can discriminate, can violate your rights and can have total control over you because it's not government.
When Newt Gingrich or Republican Senator Mike Lee of Utah say child labor laws are unconstitutional it's because they feel that Coprorations should have No Restraints put upon their Ravenous predation of the American people including your children.
When the Republican-led House, bolstered by vast number of Democrats, votes to pass a Orwellian-named "Jobs Act", which would further eliminate safeguards, roll back transparency and deregulate the gambling Wall Street interests who crashed the economy a mere 5 years ago they feel no compunction, let alone guilt at their actions, because Corporate/Banking/Wall Street power has so throughly corrupted the US Government all ill-gotten profits are privatized while all losses are subsidized.
Already Corporations pay less in taxes than the average middle class American. Already Corporations, like Boeing, steal Hundreds of Millions of dollars but get away with it under the euphemism of fraud. Already Corporations, like BP, routinely violate pollution standards by willful malfesance or gross negligence. Already Corporations, like Massey Energy, kill their workers by knowingly placing them in unsafe conditions but get away with fines instead of jail time.
What this amounts to is Unequal Protection. The whole Lard Ass Republican Party and most members of the Democratic Party are greasing the slippery slope of Corporate Neo-Feudalist Wage Slavery.

Employers asking for your Facebook password as a pre-requisite for employment?Think about this. You, as an American, could tell any individual, police officer, or right-wing bureaucrat to go Transvaginal Ultrasound themselves if they asked this information of you. Yet, Republicans and Right-Wing crypto-fascists are not only happy to let Corporations violate your basic rights but are actively passing laws to empower Corporate Behemoths to oppress and control you. Republicans in Arizona have already made it legal for an employer to ask women about their sex lives and to deny them access to birth control.
Employers asking women for what possible reason they want birth control pills?
Churches or Business owners being able to deny you health care because they have a moral objection to how you use it?

Ayn Rand Paul
Even though his name is not dervied from the Anti-Human Ayn Rand, Paul has certainly imbided and assimilated her evil views. Rand's worldview treat the vast majority of humanity as vermin. Ayn Rand celebrated the beautiful people. To Rand humanity, the common man, was nothing but potential parasites and therefore unreasonable, not grounded in her reality, irredeemable and not worth saving. The Common Man is nobody special.
But, besides anti-human Objectivism, Rand Paul also believes in Corporatist Supremacy. A large enough Corporation, BP for instance, can do whatever it pleases (Fuck the Planet!) and it's Un-American to dare criticize them.
Rand Paul had barely won the Republican nomination for Senator in Kentucky* than he was out proudly trumpeting his support for the Kleptocracy, shielding BP and enunciating his firm belief that minorities need to be returned to slavery.
Poor Poor Business, Rand Paul will rise as your Defender!
Paul's beliefs will allow Business the Right to Destroy whole swaths of the Earth and keep the majority of Americans in their place working themselves to death to make more profits for the Plutocrats he so admires.
*- Rand Paul's primary win also highlights the Battered Republican Voter Syndrome as it shows conservatives love of Aristocracy and Hereditary Rule and hatred of Meritocracy and the Founding Fathers.

Teabaggers to be Subverted into the System; Resistance is Futile
We are the Republicans, you will be Assimilated. ~ The RepublicBorg Party
Like the Borg, the Republican Party has become a soulless automaton whose only purpose is to absorb more and more Americans and increase their power and control. Now, there is a revived spirit of anti-government rhetoric which the Republicans have set their laser eye beams upon.
The Tea Party is generally grounded in good ideas but the group(s) have been subverted from within and are now being assimilated from without, as the Resplendent RepublicBorg Queen Palin told them.
The Tea Party principle of less government spending is something I can support; halt the 750 Billion plus annually doled out to the Military and the Merchants of Death, stop the subsidizes to the Agri-Business Giants and the Oil Conglomerates, end the no-bid government contracts to Halliburton, and the Mercenaries at Xe (Blackwater), DynCorp, Triple Canopy, stop the Bank Bailouts. Fiscal Responsibility is something I can certainly agree with; the ending of Government's Role as Corporate Welfare Provider and Partner, the ceasing of the US policy of Subsidizing Losses and Privatizing Profits, all worthy goals. Government should be designed to help it's citizens not be controlled and used as a weapon of Oppression the way the Republicans (and Democrats) have usurped her.
But, the Republicans are Hypocrites. They only remember to wear their fiscal responsibility diapers when the Democrats are in office. When they control the Levers of Power Republicans shit upon Americans and Steal as much money as they can and often times Kill Americans just to watch them die.
But, even if a more responsible government was the goal of the Teabaggers, that's not what I or the rest of America saw. Immediately, the images and message coming from the Tea Party was 'Where is Obama's Birth certificate?' and vile racist attempts to undermine Obama by using round about and sometimes explicit bigoted imagery and language as a way to de-legitimize him.
Now I tend to believe agent provocateurs from the Republican Party infiltrated set the fire and worked to subvert the Tea Party from within as high profile Republicans have worked to assimilate the Tea Party from without. But, the end result will be absorption of the Teabaggers into the amorphous Karl Rove-esque blob like body of the Republican Party, which prides itself on being made up of Racists, Punks, Bullies, Chicken Hawks, Thieves and Murderers.
And no matter the Republican running, even Mark Kirk a decorated Naval Intelligence Officer who is hated and reviled by conservatives because he actually served in the military and deployed overseas, I can not bring myself to vote for a Party which has fooled me and the American people.
As a famous Republican Statesman stated, "Fool me once shame on... shame on you. Fool me, you can't get fooled again."
Update:
A Tea Bagger Warner Todd Huston, inadvertently told the truth about The Tea Party, "So, there you have it, America. Tea Party protesters just 'hate the government,' they are racists, they are all white folks, they are angry, and they associate with secretive white supremacist groups that want to over throw the U.S. government."

From whence comes this Economic Meltdown?
While the Work You to Death Republican Party would have you believe your financial problems are like natural disasters* and come about due to Freedom they stem directly from the Republican policies. Namely ensuring they use the power of the federal government to transfer billions, well Trillions nowadays, into their hands. While simultaneously convincing people it's the evil Democrats who are to blame.
Ron Paul places the blame directly where it belongs the wars to aid Islamic Extremists. As Paul states, we "killed a million Iraqis and pleased Bin Laden" and ruined our economy, to the point where an avowed Islamo-Marxist terrorist supporting Nigerian citizen was elected President.
It was interesting to observe the reaction to Paul placing the blame for conservative failure on Warmonging, the CPAC attendees were unsure of whether to applaud or not since the entire Bush platform has been Give War a Chance. The roots of the economic collapse are to be found directly, where the money goes, and the Trillions appropriated by the Bush regime for Military spending.
Now, since 01/20/09, things have gotten so bad, the Republicans are sponsoring Tea Parties (LT Nixon and Wonkette call it Tea Bagging Parties) in which the idea of overthrowing the government is being seriously considered.
After years of Piss Down Your Back Reaganomics, after the wars of Imperial Conquest of Tipsy Canoe, and 1 month into the Obama administration the situation is so dire a Revolution is required. Of course, these are the same people who for years declared even disagreeing with Bush was Treason and trotted out Sarah Hot and Palin to denounce Doe-mess-tick Tear-ohh-wrists. Except now, these same people believe using violence against the government is acceptable and imminent.
The anti-government movement has champions in Grover Norquist and is being touted as a grass roots populist explosion against government spending. Except these spontaneous American Tea Parties have roots as deep as algae. And who is carrying the water for these events?
Here are the sponsors of the 02/27/09 Chicago Tea Party:
My personality has guided me to the Individualist Anarchist political ideal for several years. During the most criminal years of the Bush Regime (i.e. the entire 8 years) I conducted several thought experiments on the consequences of "more active" resistance and fortunately or unfortunately the conclusions I reached were unacceptable to me. In discussions with friends I've always told them the reason I could never accept "more active" resistance to the government and a removal of the current system would be the danger for their children. I am unwilling to take lives to actually change political realities. I am especially unwilling to fight those I would be arrayed against. In trying to live one day as a lion, I, a pawn would not be sent up against the object of my derision. No my fury would be spent fighting against other pawns, under control and being used by the same puppet masters to whom I myself belong.
When something like a a violent revolt gets started no one, no one can control it's course, there are too many variables which come into being and conspire to spiral events out of control. And yet, we have Senator Jim DeMint, an elected official, urging conservatives to "take to the streets to stop America's slide into socialism".
And this is the prime question which should be put to theMichelle Malkin's (aaaagh! I mean She Who Shall Not Be Named 2) and all the other Armies of Activists who are referencing John Galt, quoting the Second Amendment and polishing their walnut stocks; Are you willing to kill the young men in the police and national guard who would be the first ones sent in to stop a revolt?
*- And no money should be spent to avoid natural disasters, like observing volcanoes.

the DontGo Movement; which is for free markets, low-taxes, low-regulation and personal freedoms. Presumably meaning Mr. Eric Odom was against the no-bid contracts given to contractors in Iraq, against stop-loss policy used on Soldiers and Veterans, and then staged protests against the Bush TARP bailout?
FreedomWorks; LessTaxes, LessGovernment, MoreFreedom. Freedom Works has a report on the roots of the financial crisis of 2008, tracing it back to the non-passage of the 1913 Federal Income Tax Amendment. Strangely reading through the document the 1980's receive no attention! Why not? Why Saint Reagan was president then! And he did nothing to expand the government or the national debt! And apparently during the Tipsy Canoe years the only problem was Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac! Although Ben Bernanke disagrees and stated the CRA was not to blame for the housing crisis.
Americans For Prosperity; AFP Foundation is committed to educating citizens about economic policy and a return of the federal government to its Constitutional limits.
Smart Girl Politics; Smart Girl Politics (SGP) is thrilled that Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann agreed to be the first person interviewed for our A Profile in Conservatism series. Uh-Huh, Michelle Bachmann #1 Conservative.

Sarah Palin hates Partisan politics
And thinks Ron Paul is Cool. Watch her!
Here's what she said, when asked "Ron Paul, following in Alaska?"
Ooooh Noes! She supports Ron Paul, now I'm going to have to vote for her! Wait, this must have been earlier in 2008 when Sarah Tall and Palin supported the Alaskan Secessionist movement.
Any chance Palin is attempting to infiltrate and sunder apart America at the behest of the Alaskan Independence Party?
Update:
Christopher Hitchens on Sarah Palin:
Here's what she said, when asked "Ron Paul, following in Alaska?"
"He's cool. He's a good guy. He's a good guy, he's so independent. He's independent of the party machine. I'm like right on and So am I! The party machinery on both sides of the party. Americans are tiring of the incessant partianship that gets in the way." (edited by me to remove the verbal fillers)

Christopher Hitchens on Sarah Palin:
And the only public events that have so far featured his absurd choice of running mate have shown her to be a deceiving and unscrupulous woman utterly unversed in any of the needful political discourses but easily trained to utter preposterous lies and to appeal to the basest element of her audience.

Ron Paul loses some Luster
Well, I'm in an unevinable position when it comes to Ron Paul.
On a positive note the NYTimes did print a follow-up stating they should not have run a string of allegations and assertions without allowing a response from Paul's campaign. Not that it has stopped the racist meme from being adopted as "Internet Fact" by the likes of Democratic Underground.
But, Ed Brayton of Dispatches from the Culture Wars has a video of Ron Paul rejecting evolution, stating "it's a theory... theory of evolution. No one has absolute proof on either side."
Uugh.
I can't vote for someone who could reject the mountains of evidence for Evolution. And I can not in good conscience, rationalize his statments by telling myself Paul played to the audience and is trying to garner votes. Because if I am to vote for Paul, he has to be above that kind of pandering. Otherwise I am as guilty as everyone else who ignores the ugliness of their favorite candidate...
The problem is, Ron Paul's stated position on the Occupation of Iraq, understanding the root causes of 9/11 (It's Blowback not because they hate us for our freedom or because women drive cars unescorted), and ending the Imperial American Empire are a strong siren's call for me.
But, I can not ignore these repeated warnings .
Update (12/27):
Ironically, it seems, being caught up in the Paul Revolution caused me to lose sight of the title of my own blog...

The Anti-War 110th Congress!
Yes, I'm so glad the democratically controlled congress is saying no to giving the Warmongers money!
Wait, this post reads the senate just approved another 70 Billion in war funding?!? And now Iraq/Afghanistan have surpassed Vietnam in War Profiteering...
Let's read what hillary had to say about Funding the Iraq War 7 months ago:
"Well, today we're talking about this very important immigration issue, there'll be time to talk about that later." ~ hillary clinton
Well of course you have time hillary, you don't have to worry about chelsea getting her Tits blown off by an IED! But, of course chelsea is special she's been groomed for leadership and has just started a $150000 job in New York. Can, We the People really ask such a special young woman to put that all on hold and endanger her health, life and sanity?
Unbelievable. Can anyone continue to delude themselves a democratic president will pull the troops out before 2012? Let alone any of the Insane republicans... This is one of the wages of the Warfare/Welfare State...
Vote for Ron Paul.

President Ron Paul
Ron Paul is going to win the Presidency. The question is whether the Gatekeepers of Society (Members of the Media, Corporate Interests, The Supreme Court, Controllers of the Voting System) will attempt to steal the election from Ron Paul.
You see it is not in the interests of the Establishment to have someone who would reduce the scope and power of the State by minimizing overseas forays, respecting the rule of law and adhering to the Constitution.
So the only thing, We the People can do is to overwhelm the system so as to not allow them to place another ignorant puppet in power. Support for President Paul by the People is on the verge of being overwhelming even as the ideologically driven dead tree media forces it's views on society.
Vote for Ron Paul. Give America and the World a chance.
A Closer Look at the Ron Paul Revolution.
Update (12/20):
A white supremacist, Don Black gave Ron Paul $500. Paul is not giving the money back. A Paul spokesman stated, "And that's $500 less that this guy has to do whatever it is that he does."
Some of the back and forthers at Wonkette apparently believe this to be the greatest political scandal E-V-A-R. I wonder if they have the morals to decline their tax refunds, paychecks, social security check, or pell grant money. I guess the $500 is worse than waterboarding or "Shock & Awe" and the 2 Trillion Dollar Price Tag for Iraq...
