- Have you ever had a blog slump?
- What's your favorite way to serve hot chocolate (cocoa)? Marshmallows on top? Whipped Cream? A cinnamon stick?
- How do you handle it when you see someone you think you know, but cannot place? Do you approach them and ask, shy away, or just go home and hope you don't think of it at 2am?
- What was your position in your family? Were you the oldest, a middle child, the youngest or an only child?
- How do you handle accumulated possessions (stuff)? Are you a pack-rat, a minimalist, or somewhere in between?
My answers:
- Yep! Pretty much the whole year of 2010! Was all caught up with a new job.
- I like hot chocolate but I don't love it. Usually if I do drink it, it will be mixed with my coffee!
- I usually just ask them. A lot of the time they turn out to be people I have worked with in the past.
- I was the baby of the family.
- I'm not a pac-rat but definitely not a minimalist so I guess I'm somewhere in between. I have a friend that I would describe as a "semi-hoarder" - I honestly don't know how anyone could live like that. I would describe my house as being "lived in" but I can't handle things being out of place for long. How do people ever find anything when it's piled all over?
I have a good memory, but sometimes people will come up to me and say "I know you from somewhere" They do look familiar, but I have been in the public eye for years, as a teacher, community service representative, church member, and business manager. So I used to ask where you associated with ------. Sometimes they were the checkout clerk at a store. So I just have given up on trying to remember the past, and say, It is good to see you again, and go from there.
ReplyDeleteI'm an somewhere in-between person, too. I would love to have a bigger home, though. After 30+ years of marriage, we are really short on space.
ReplyDeleteI was the baby of the family too- when my much older sisters were actually around.I did spend much of the time as an only though.
ReplyDeleteI saw a TV show on hoarders. It was amazing. I felt so sorry for this woman who was the focus of the show. She truly had an illness. They needed a warehouse to empty out her house. Some of her family had absolutely "had it" with her. They show remodeled her house after getting her cleaned out and she just stood there as though she was viewing a miracle, crying all the while. I remember her when I start accumulating too much. We have a small house, so it's easy to feel like there is a lot of clutter.
Thanks for stopping by!
Ha, ha. I couldn't find anything if it was put away. I need to keep it all in front of me. That does get a bit ugly-looking, though, even for me. Desk clean-ups do happen but only when necessary.
ReplyDeleteI am not generally a coffee drinker, but last night I mixed my hot chocolate with some coffee. It was OK and definitely better than coffee on its own. ICK!
ReplyDeleteI'm here from Patrice's porch and hope that you have a great day!
I am not a hot chocolate drinker either. I could drink coffee all day though. I really like coffee.
ReplyDeleteIt is so nice to get caught up with you on your porch today.
The problem around here is Hubs. I keep throwing stuff out and he keeps bringing it back in! LOL
