Magnolia Bush blooms.
Liz gave me some money to buy
something to remember my grandma
Marjie when she went back to live with
Father in Heaven.  These bloom pink in

Lots of dressing up this month...
Erik wore this to the MGES office one day
and the secretary could not stop laughing.
The funny thing was that I barely noticed.
Erik the Shark is a favorite.

We felt like we needed a Family Home Evening on strangers and manners.  You know... what to do when someone comes to the door that you don't/do know.  Anyway, I had Lucy play the "stranger" so they could practice.  hahaha!  So funny.

And then George came to the door in his George Bush mask.  Lucy opened the door and all the younger kids ran away screaming in fear.  Hahaha!  I nearly died laughing.  Not quite the practice I was thinking...

Baseball season started, which meant lots of time at the ballpark

Coach George and batter Cole

I said good-bye to about half of these girls as they graduated from high school.  :(  They cooked dutch oven on our firepit and sang and laughed til late.  And I did too.

We sorted out the shoes and donated as many as we could.  Holy Moly.  With this many shoes, how come NO ONE can seem to find a match?!? especially on Sundays.

We ate lots and lots of strawberries.  Especially Erik.  He just cut them in half and ate the bottom.  I found a pile like this most mornings of strawberry season.

Ocean themed musical story time.
Last one of the school year.

Felt good to do some yard work, but still a little chilly

Uhhh... who's in charge around this place?

Favorite pic of the month.  Melts my heart.
She walks around saying "buk" and throws it at me.  Occasionally, she'll read it herself.

A sick little Clara, but a happy one.

And the last, inspiring picture of the month... George getting his nose waxed.  Yes.  He did.

Memorial

Lucy takes a trip to San Antonio

Lucy was lucky enough to be invited by Gracie to go to San Antonio.  She left the night school got out and returned Memorial Day.  And she had plenty of time beforehand to do lots of chores to help with the plane ticket cost.  Boy was she happy to get that list checked off.  Greg and Linds spoiled those girls and they loved every minute!  :)

Here's the post by Lucy:

at the hotel
When we got to Texas everyone was super tired. We drove to the huge hotel and immediately fell asleep. The next day we went to a delicious restaurant with Lacey. Her foster kids are darling! On the way back we stopped at the temple. It was beautiful.

We stopped at the temple.
It had some pretty stained glass.

The Alamo!
We didn't go inside because the line was so long,
but it was cool. It was also bigger then I thought.

So tired

The tube slide

The hotel had a super cool water park. They had 3 tube slides. One went into the lazy river. The other two had more jumps and stuff. Also there was a pool with sand by the sides. What else was cool is that some of the chairs were about 3 inches deep in water. We spent almost all of one day there.

At the park we played pickle-ball.
I had never played it before.
That was fun.

Checkers in the Lobby

River walk
Torchy's Tacos

The ride back to the airport
We went to a jump park right before we left. Lacey, Mark and the kiddos came to.  That was great. It had an obstacle course with about seven different things, a trapeze, and a balance beam.  I had so much fun in San Antonio.
