AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes

AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes
I love a sunburnt country / A land of sweeping plains / Of ragged mountain ranges / Of droughts and flooding rains / I love her far horizons / I love her jewel-sea / Her beauty and her terror / The wide brown land for me / ~ Dorothea Mackellar (1885-1968)

If a pink elephant
Is
A flying swirl of hallucination
And a pink elephant stall
Is
A bargain stall of bits and pieces
Is
A pink elephant bus
A go anywhere
(With anyone)
Flying
Dream machine?

Pink Coat

Pink Saturday prompt

I was taking a pic of a pink doored beach house. But, from a distance, heading toward me, was an image that would be far more interesting for Pink Saturday.

As a little family of three drew closer, I saw that the man and woman only had adoring eyes for the little girl as she walked.

Then the man drew out a very large camera and was intent on photographing the sea and sky. Mum, however, simply watched with quiet pride as her little one enjoyed just being alive on a winter beach.

Finally, a magic moment! Little girl and Mum stood side by side and watched the tiny waves rippling onto the beach!
~

Pink moments are
A little like happiness
Tied up with
Radiance in
A delicate bow
~
But when a child is
Coated in pink
The innocent
Fresh
Sweet
New
Hopeful
Blossoms of Spring have
Human
Possibility
~

And I have taken the liberty of posting a quote from Emily Dickinson on How Sweet the Sound, the home of Pink Saturday. It seems to fit these pink reflections.
~
Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without words,
And never stops at all.

The Pink Rabbit of Goldenwood

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Pink rabbit at Red Hill, Mornington Peninsula

Pink Saturday prompt
~

I was taking a short drive to
Some somewhere when
There
At Red Hill
By the roadside
Sprang
A pink rabbit from
Goldenwood
~
Desperately seeking
A place to park the car ~
Finally
A small spot
~
And a hasty walk back
To ensure
I saw
What I thought I saw
~
A closer look confirmed that
Santa Claus
Must have been having some time out ~
Incognito ~
Masquerading indeed as
A giant size
Pink rabbit
~
