It's so dang hot. This is the part of the year everybody dreads. It takes the car 20 minutes to actually cool down. My G's are always sweaty and sticking to me after coming inside, especially if I've been in a car. Sometimes we get a wonderful rainstorm and monsoon. That's the good part about July. But they don't happen much in August.
We are still swimming almost every day. Kalia has had some crazy weird reaction to something- possibly chemicals/chlorine from the pools. She swims with her eyes open. I hope it goes away with the steroid cream the Dr. prescribed.
School starts for the girls in 10 days. That sure went fast. I am looking forward to it. Kalia is excited. Annie is not.
Ella has almost completely snapped out of her difficult "transition" into being three. I'm so glad I get to see more of her sweet little self and not feel so frustrated by the crazy little self.
Aria is mostly down to just one nap a day. I think she's hungry a lot because she gets distracted playing with her food, and then wants to get down because everybody else is off doing stuff and she's bored without them. So she asks to get out, usually by signing "all done". She finally learned to say "Up" when she wants to be picked up or lifted up, and she signs please on her own when she wants something. She usually reaches towards what she wants, signs "drink" (it turned into a universal sign for want), and then immediately follows it with please. I was impressed that she is basically putting two signs together. She will be 15 months old in two days. She likes to say "Go-go" when she can see we are about to go somewhere, and she also says "nigh-nigh" when I tell her it's bedtime. She still gets occasional red/sunburn looking rashes (super painful) randomly and I'm still sometimes surprised when they show up, I have to think back to what I fed her that I thought was okay that actually probably wasn't. Chicken and beans and strawberries are three things that I'm pretty sure cause a rash pretty quickly. And of course, she's still on goat milk, and drinks a TON of it, a bottle when she wakes up, one before the nap, and one before bed, and sometimes another bottle thrown in there during another part of the day if she is being fussy and doesn't want to eat much. Like my other babies who had allergies, the milk is still providing the majority of fat and calories for her at this age.
