Wishes for Kisses

I was feeling festive again yesterday...so I have another Christmas card to share with you today. I've used one of my favourite Penny Black stamps...'Wishes for Kisses'......just perfect for the 'Mistletoe Kisses' challenge over at the DCD Christmas Club this week. I followed the sketch from Sketch Saturday,  using papers from the 'Eskimo Kisses' collection (by BasicGrey), and I distressed the edges, and added some faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a gel pen...just right for the BasicGrey Challenge. The sentiment stamp is also by Penny Black, and I used an EK Success punch for the scalloped border, adding some adhesive pearls along the edge, and also to the centres of the little snowflakes cut using a Cuttlebug die. I'm also going to enter this into Creative Inspirations (Wed) 'Animals', and Cupcake Crafts 'Distressing' challenges.

Gifts for you!

I loved the look of this fortnight's BasicGrey Challenge sketch...so just had to have a go. The image is 'Gifts for you!' by Penny Black, the papers are all from the 'Sultry' pad by BasicGrey'...and I distressed the edges, and added some faux stitching using my Cutterbee Bug and a green pen. The swirl is a Whiff of Joy stamp, stamped in Versamark, and embossed with pearl green powder. The flowers are a mixture of Prima and Poppicrafts...and they're held in place using some Papermania pearl brads...or 'split pins'...which I hope qualifies for this week's Penny Black Saturday Challenge....where the theme is 'Pins & Pearls'...I was a bit scared of using a real pin...wouldn't want to injure the postie! lol

When Life Gives You Lemons...

...Make Lemonade!

One of my friends has been feeling a bit down lately...so I've made her this card to let her know I'm there for her. I couldn't resist colouring this gorgeous image ('Make Lemonade' by Penny Black)...it's been in my box of stamped images for so long, that I can't who sent it to me...but it was just perfect for the 'Something Sweet' theme of this week's Penny Black Saturday Challenge.
I followed last week's Friday Sketchers sketch...didn't realise it was last week's 'til I started writing this post and went to get the photo to add! lol
I've managed to find some other challenges to enter it into...so it's not a lost cause!
Charisma Cardz wants us to use 'Fruity Colours'...my papers remind me of strawberries and lemons...the BasicGrey Challenge is to use 'Animals' on our cards...Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential (where I was last week's lucky winner - have received some fab digi stamps as my prize - thank you!) wants us to 'Let the Sunshine in!'...and Pile it On is asking for 'Warm Wishes'...I hope my 'summery' colours count!

The papers are by BasicGrey (from the 'Lemonade' and 'Two Scoops' pads)...and I used my Cuttlebug 'Swiss Dots' folder to emboss the yellow one, the flowers are by Prima, and I added some faux stitching with a white gel pen, after distressing all of the edges.

Gorjuss Thank You!

There's a lovely sketch for this week's Cute Card Thursday Challenge...which I've used to make a 'Thank You Card' for the Totally Gorjuss Challenge, in the BasicGrey Challenge colours of 'Cream, Pink & Blue'. The image is 'Poppy Fields', and the papers are from the 'Wisteria' and 'Sultry' pads (by BasicGrey). I used my Cuttlebug 'Victoria' and 'Perfect Paisley' folders to emboss (and deboss...I put the paper in the wrong way up! lol) the plain papers, then distressed all of the edges. The sentiment stamp is from the Clare Curd Signature Range (by Papermania) and the ribbon is from Poppicrafts.

Hot Chocolate Henry

Here's my card for this fortnight's BasicGrey Challenge...there's a fab sketch to follow...and I've combined it with the Whiff of Joy Challenge to create a 'Christmas Card'. I've used the adorable Henry Mouse...with his cup of hot chocolate, some more papers from the 'Eskimo Kisses' pad (by BasicGrey) and a sentiment stamp by Craft UK.

Stocking Full of Bunnies

When I saw the 'Christmas Stocking' theme for this week's Winter Wonderland challenge...I knew straight away that I just had to use this cute Lili of the Valley stamp. I followed the Friday Sketchers sketch, and used the BasicGrey Challenge colour combination of 'Green, Red & Blue'. The papers, and the diecut star are all from the BasicGrey 'Figgy Pudding' collection pack.

Christmas Bunny & Robin

This is the last of my new Lili of the Valley stamps...'Christmas Bunnies - Robin'...I just love these stamps...so I'll apologise in advance 'cos you're likely to see them lots more! lol
This time I used the sketch from the BasicGrey Challenge, and the Simon Says Stamp Challenge colour combination of 'Red & Green'. The papers are from the BasicGrey 'Figgy Pudding' collection, and the snowflakes were cut using a Cuttlebug die.

Boo Boo Bear

This is another of the cards I made on Sunday...this one is for: Sketch Saturday - loved this sketch...although I had to rotate it to fit my image; the One Stop Craft Challenge's 'Beary Nice' theme; and the Basic Grey Challenge to use 'Embossing'. The image is 'Boo Boo Bear' by Whipper Snapper...he's so cute...is it wrong that I'd like someone to get ill, so that I can have an excuse to use him? lol
The gorgeous papers are from the BasicGrey 'Lemonade' pad...and I embossed the one at the back using my 'Moroccan Screen' Cuttlebug folder...well actually I managed to put the paper in the folder the wrong way around (again!) so it's 'debossed'...I hope that still counts! lol I distressed the edges of the paper, then added some faux stitching, as I think this always makes the paper look like fabric. The flowers are by Prima, the brads are Papermania, and the ribbon is from Poppicrafts.

Talking to the Birds

It's my first day back at school today...hence the early hour of this post...so how did I spend my last night of freedom...crafting of course! I made a quick card for a few challenges: I used the Papertake Weekly Challenge sketch; took my colours from the inspirational photo from the BasicGrey Challenge; and used the 'Polkadot Party' theme of the My Time to Craft Challenge. I used Annie ('Talking to the Birds' by Sugar Nellie) because of her polkadot skirt, and coloured her to match the polkadot paper (from the 'Wisteria' pad by BasicGrey). I used my 'Swiss Dots' Cuttlebug folder to emboss the white card, added a piece of ribbon from Poppicrafts and a sentiment by Studio G.

There's still a couple of days for you to enter my candy if you haven't already done so...click here for more information.

Popcorn

I finally got round to mounting my new Popcorn Bear stamps ('Thinking of You' set onto EZ Mount this morning...and I couldn't resist using him straight away. I followed the Midnight Madness sketch (#15)...and used the BasicGrey Challenge colour combination of 'Brown, Yellow & Pink'. The paper is BasicGrey 'Blush' and the ribbon is from Poppicrafts.

Three Challenges in One...Again!

I'm afraid I've combined challenges again on this card...this time it's: the sketch from the BasicGrey Challenge; the theme of 'Showers or Flowers' of the Stamp Something Challenge; and my favourite colour combination, which is this week's Our Creative Corner Challenge.
I've used 'Rainin' Daisies' by Penny Black for my main image, which means I have 'Showers AND Flowers' on my card! lol
There are so many colour combinations I like to use, that I found it difficult to pick a favourite, but after a quick look through my card box...'Pink & Green' came out on top...and I thought I didn't 'do' pink! All of the paper are from the 'Blush' range by BasicGrey - and I used the Cuttlebug 'D'Vine Swirls' folder to emboss the central panel. The sentiment stamp is from Whiff of Joy, the flowers are from Poppicrafts, and the lace is from Hobbycraft.

BasicGrey with Charisma

For this card, I've combined the sketch from this week's BasicGrey Challenge, with the Charisma Cardz theme of 'Pretty Cards'. My main image is the very pretty Annie ('Blossom' stamp by Leanne Ellis from Funky Kits), coloured in various shades of pink to match the BG papers from the 'Blush' range. The swirls in the corner are from a set by Doodlebug, and the lace raffia is from Hobbycraft.

I also made another card using this stamp this weekend, for a few more challenges, but as I've sent it to my Docrafts friendship swap partner, so I'm going to wait 'til I know she's got it before I post it on here.

Three Challenges in One...Again!

I'd love to have the time to make a separate card for every challenge, but only having the time to craft at the weekends, means that I always end up combining. This card is for 3 challenges: I've used the sketch for this week's Just Christmas & Birthday Cards challenge; which fitted perfectly with the BasicGrey Challenge theme of 'Pockets'; and as it looks the bunnies are magically appearing (a stretch...I know! lol), I'm also entering this for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge which is 'Animal Magic'.
The images I've used are from the Penny Black stamp 'Bunny Friends' - I masked of most of the stamp, so that I could used these smaller images. All of the papers are from the BasicGrey 'Blush' range, the flowers are a mixture of Poppicrafts, and Sarah's Cards Ltd, the lace raffia is from Hobbycraft, and all the brads are by Papermania.
Here's a view of the card with the tab in the pocket:

And with the tab removed:

I thought the raffia kind of looks like the bunnies are talking over a picket fence.

BasicGrey Challenge #23

There's a choice of colour combos for this week's BasicGrey Challenge, and I've gone for Pink & Brown, so I could use this gorgeous Penny Black image ('Sweet Slumber') that I received in the post yesterday from my lovely friend Carol. The papers are a mixture of 'Blush' and 'Two Scoops', with one having been embossed with the Cuttlebug 'D'Vine Swirls' folder. The sentiment stamp is from the 'Anytime Messages' set by Hero Arts, the flowers are from Poppicrafts (I think), and the cute little heart brad is from Tescos.

One Stop Craft meets BasicGrey

I've combined Sharon's fab sketch for the One Stop Craft Challenge, with the theme of this week's BasicGrey Challenge, which is 'Hearts'. The image I've used is a Sugar Nellie stamp ('Blossom' by Leanne Ellis). All of the papers are by BasicGrey - the one with lots of little hearts on it is 'Crush' from the blush range, and the other plainer papers (which have all been embossed with the Cuttlebug 'Swiss Dots' folder) are from the 'Sugared' and 'Two Scoops' pads. The sentiment is a Hero Arts stamp, and the flowers are a mixture from my stash.

BasicGrey Challenge #21

The challenge over on the BasicGrey Challenge blog this week is to 'Mix it Up' - in other words, to use items from at least two different BasicGrey ranges on our cards. Now, I have several of the BasicGrey paper pads, so I thought that this challenge would be a doddle, but the problem was choosing which of the many gorgeous papers to use! I settled for a mixture of 'Eva' and 'Archaic', a plain, and a patterned paper from each, to compliment the colours of the Penny Black image (from the 'Hugs' set) I'd decided to use. The sentiment stamp is from a set by Autumn Leaves ('Talking in Circles')...which I've had for ages, but have hardly ever used, the flower is from Poppicrafts, and the button is from my stash.

BasicGrey Challenge 20 meets Colour Create Challenge 1

I've combined the colour scheme of 'Pink, Green & Brown', of the first ever Colour Create Challenge with the fab sketch for this weeks BasicGrey Challenge, as it was a perfect excuse to use some of the gorgeous BasicGrey 'Eva' papers. My main image is a Sugar Nellie stamp by Leanne Ellis, called 'Talking to the birds', which I've watercoloured to match the papers. I've embossed the green paper with the Cuttlebug 'Spots & Dots' folder, and the sentiment stamp is by Whiff of Joy.
