Happy Mother's Day!

I had a wonderful Mother's Day. We spent the weekend at my family's. I was grateful to spend that time with my wonderful mother. She is the perfect example of the type of mother I want to be. She is so selfless and Christ like. I love her very much. Since we were going to be gone on Mother's Day, Jake fixed me dinner the night before we left. He had surgery for a hernia the week before, but he spent hours in the kitchen making me some
barbecue chicken pizza. It was delicious. He is the best husband. He was hurting and sore from his surgery, but he wanted to to do that for me.

The kids had fun with their cousins over the weekend. They liked racing around on stick horses.

If we ever couldn't find James, he was usually outside feeding the horses. Recently we watched Secretariat and Racing Stripes, so James was excited about horse races. On Saturday the Kentucky Derby was on. He was so excited to watch the race, and as soon as it was over he ran outside to be with the horses.
