Taylor's sixth birthday!

For Taylor's birthday we were so excited to go swimming at the pool.  It took us a while to get everyone ready to go, and when we finally got over there, the pool was closed.  I was really disappointed.  Some kid had thrown-up in it.  We asked Taylor what else he wanted to do, and he said he wanted a water fight with water balloons.  We stopped at Manti Market to get some, but just our luck, they didn't have any.  Taylor forgot all about the pool, and the water fight, when dad came out of the store with ice-cream sandwiches!!!

We decided to run through the sprinklers, and do the slip-n-slide instead.

I tried to make a race car cake for Taylor's birthday.  He thought it was pretty cool.

I love giving Taylor presents, because he always gets so excited.  He has been like that since he was a little boy.  We bought Taylor a bike this year for his birthday.

Look Who's ONE!

For Keaton's birthday the boys and I tried to do a lot of fun things with him.  We took him to the park, and played in the back yard in the water with him.

He doesn't love his baths (unless the boys are in there with him), but he loves going swimming and playing in the water outside.

When dad got home we had a zoo themed birthday party.

We let him eat his own cake.  He was hesitant at first, like he was making sure that we were really going to let him do this.  Once he started though, he really got into it.

Keaton likes to make this face where he scrunches up his nose.  We call it his STINKER FACE,

and we sure love this little stinker.
Happy Birthday Keaton!

Happy Father's Day!
There are so many wonderful Fathers in my life: my dad, all of my grandpa's, Jake's dad, and especially my Husband.  I feel so blessed that my children have such a wonderful dad.  Since we have all boys, I am really grateful that they have a father who they can look up to.  He sets such a good example for them.  I don't know how I ended up so lucky to have all of these wonderful men in my life.  I am so very grateful to my Heavenly Father!

On mother's day last month Jake and the boys brought me breakfast in bed.  After that they realized that making food for someone was one way you can show them you love them.  So now every once in a while the boys will grab a cookie sheet, pull food out of the cupboard and fridge, and bring it to us.  Since I told them Father's day was coming up, they have done it quite a few times for Jake.  It is funny the different things they will bring us.  In this picture Jake got a couple slices of tomatoes, a few grapes, a bag of sliced almonds, the whole container of Quaker oats oatmeal, and the container of raisins.  (They know we like oatmeal with nuts and raisins:)
I've gotten a tray with three whole apples, two bananas, a yogurt, and a scone before:)  I love my boys, they are very thoughtful.

Hogle Zoo!

They have a new exhibit at the Hogle Zoo.  It has seals, sea lions, and a polar bear.

Almost every time we have been to the zoo, Taylor has been eyed by some meat eating animal.  First it was a leopard, then a bobcat, and now a polar bear.  He kept swimming up right in front of Taylor.  Then he would push off the glass, swim back, go under the water, make a circle, and come up right in front of him again.  He did it over and over.

The alligator we saw looked fake because he was just sitting there forever with his mouth open.  I think he was daring someone to put their hand in there.

Even though the polar bear was so exciting, James' favorite animal (besides a horse) is still the giraffe, and Taylor's favorite is still the gorilla.

Our Memorial Weekend!

On Saturday we went over to the Scandinavian Festival in Ephraim.  The weather was horrible that day.  We went to the parade in the morning, and as soon as it was over, the wind started blowing really hard.  It was freezing cold, so we decided to go home.

On Monday it was a lot warmer.  We went hiking up Maple Canyon.  This is one of my favorite canyons.

We took the boys on my very favorite hike.  You have to climb under and over big boulders, and it leads to a little waterfall.

The boys were having a lot of fun, so we went on a second hike.

By the end Keaton was all tuckered out!
