So while the rest of you have been getting the nice winter weather we have been stuck with the stinking wind. Tyler was very excited about the wind because Grandpa had bought him a kite which we have tried to fly and can never get it up, even if we have had good winds. We, his parents, got sick of trying to get that kite to fly so we bought different one. Two sundays ago we had perfect wind for flying kites. So out we all headed. I was helping Tyler and Jay was helping Mason at the baseball field across the street. Well we did get it up a couple of time and it stayed up for a few minutes. Tyler and I gave up and went to see how Jay and Mason were doing. They had a little bit better success then us but they soon gave up too. I don't remember it being such a work out to keep a kite in the air. So that you all know the Wal-mart kites don't work or maybe we just don't know how to fly them. After we went in for hot chocolate.
They don't make them like they use to.

A favorite family activity
Tyler is more than happy that we were breaking out the bikes for a bike ride. Mason was happy, but not as happy as Tyler because he wanted mom to pull him instead of Dad.

6th Anniversary
This last weekend we celebrated our sixth anniversary by taking the kids skiing for probably the last time this season. It was fun because Jay got to go with us. It is normally just the boys and me. We ended up not getting to ski together, Jay and I, since we didn't have someone to watch Elly. So while Jay was getting his stuff I took the boys on two runs and then when he was ready him and Tyler did a few runs. Mason, Elly and I stayed in the Lodge and had some lunch and laughed at Mason. He can entertain anyone. Then Jay and Tyler were ready for some lunch so Mason and I head out to get a run. Mason borrow his cousins skis and up we went. He ended up doing pretty good. The first part was hard for him and I did telling at one point when I was getting frustrated with him that I was going to leave him on the mountain if he didn't listen, but after that he listened and did pretty good. He loved it. When we were almost down the backdoor he started going fast and I asked him where he was going he simply replyed "to hit that jump." He is talking like he has been skiing forever and couldn't believe I didn't know that was what he was doing. I was pretty proud of him. He didn't even cry when he crashed.
That night we played some games with my family. I guess it wasn't anything to exciting for an anniversary, but we had fun just spending some time together as a family and making memories.
It has been a great six years with lots of adventures some not as fun as others but all of them have been worth it. I have a great husband that I love very much and I am so proud of him and all that he does. Thanks for six wonderful years Jay!Happy even after he had crashed. I never did get a picture of all of us up there together.

Surprised!
I am one of those people that like to shower in the morning, mostly for the reason that my hair is very hard to manage the next morning if it has been slept on all night. I perfer to have the fresh out of the shower look in the morning. So this morning after I had gotten Elly to sleep for her morning nap I headed for the shower, stopping to repeat the rules to Tyler. There is suppose to be no fighting with his brother, if the phone rings don't answer it unless it is Dad, if Elly cries come tell me, and most importantly don't answer the door (which I always have locked.) So away I went to the shower. The whole time in the shower I am dreading seeing how big of a tornado is going to have it my house while I left it in the care of my four-year-old. So you can imagine my surprise when I came out of the bathroom to see that I had Lamenites running around my house. The fun of childhood and imaginations.

Two months old
Elly is now two months old. Boy that went by fast. She is so much fun. The boys are loving her so much. Mason has to hold her every second. He was complaining the other day that he never gets to hold her. I couldn't believe it because he always has her. She is such a happy baby. We love her so much.
I love this picture of Elly. I think the look on her face is pretty funny.

State Wrestling
Well my three kids and me made it to state wrestling. The boys loved it. I was surprised at how well they did sitting in the event center all day for two days. Mason took a nap both days for me so that was nice. Tyler was entertained by the wrestling, Gracie and his aunts and uncles. Elly slept pretty much the whole time we were there and she traveled even better. The boys had a blast getting to swim each night. They were completely exhausted after the whole trip. That is always nice because then they sleep in for a couple of days and take really good naps. So I am not complaining. We will do it again next year. Candice rode in the car with me. She read four books to me so that was fun. It helped the drive go faster.
