Ellys favorite thing.

Elly has a new favorite thing.  She has been doing it all the time for the last few weeks.  Anytime I sit down she wants to do my hair, which is fine with me.  She can spend a hour just sitting their combing it and putting clips and bows all over your head.   She has even learned to stay the things I say to her, "Sit up"  "look at..."  "Do you want a ponytail or a braid?"  "hold still."  She is pretty funny to listen to while she is doing your hair.  She will just talk and talk about anything.  If she asks and question when you answer her she will say, "Oh gotcha."  What a cutie!
The other day she caught Jay sitting down so he got his hair done too.  He looked so nice with all her clips in his hair.  It was nice of him to be a good sport and let her do that to him.  She doesn't care if your a boy or girl if you will let her do your hair she will.
She is a funny little girl.  She has even started getting the curling iron and straighteners out so she can do my hair.  She will ask me if she burned me or tell me I need to hold still so I don't get burned. Cute!

Sledding...AGAIN!

We had the kids cousins for the day so we let them chose to go shoot guns or go sledding.  They of course chose sledding.  So we got everyone ready and gathered the sleds and hot chocolate and head to the mountains to sled.  The snow was not as soft and fluffy as it was when we went a few days before, but the kids had a great time anyway.  We had our four, my sister-in-laws four and her sister daughter.  This is the group that started out sledding, Autumn, Mason, Karleigh, Shaylee, Kason and Tyler.  The other three fell asleep on the ride, Porter, Elly and Drake.
They thought they were pretty awesome when they could stay standing for very long.  The all would switch from one sled to another.  It was pretty funny to watch them climbing everywhere.
When the little ones woke up they wanted a turn.  Drake didn't but Autumn wanted him to ride with her for a minute and that was about as long as he lasted.
Elly and Porter loved it.  The made it almost all the way back to where we started.  They hit a little jump and feel out and that was it for them.
When someone would get hurt or cold they would climb in the back with me and sit until they were ready to go back in.  Only three of them never came in and only two never cried.  So I guess it was a successful day.  I have decided crying is a part of sledding.
These three were so cute!
We had a so much fun.  The kids were tired, but at least they got to go sledding again.

Sledding...FINALLY

Since we had gotten all that snow the day before the kids were not about to miss out on a chance to go sledding.  As soon as we could we load up the sleds and headed to the mountains to sled.  This was Drakes first time sledding.  I went last year when he was in my belly but that doesn't count.  Elly thinks she is going to love it every time and has yet to love it as much as me, Tyler and Mason do.  She did last longer this time then she has before, so I guess it is a start.
We started out nice and easy for my sledding companions.  Drake was fine until the snow would blow in his face.  The snow was perfect, soft and fluffy.  Elly was a little nervous about and didn't like the snow in her face either but I had her turn around and then she was fine for a minute.
This is the wild sled.  These two were trying to push each other and me out the whole time or they were trying to stand up or jump from their sled to mine.  It was pretty funny.  I laughed pretty much the whole time we were sledding.
Jay just drove us through that big puddle behind us and had to gun it so we wouldn't get stuck.
Tyler took a header into that cold mud puddle.  He hurt his head so he wasn't very happy with his dad.  He was pretty soaked from it.  Mason and I tried to save him but we couldn't hang on long enough.
Mason is the masked man.  It was a good thing he had this on or he never would have lasted the whole time.  He is our kid that always gets cold fast.  We have to put feet warmers in his boots and hand so he will last as long as Tyler.  Jay loved how covered in snow he was.
By the time we got back to where we started sledding the kids were getting cold and ready for some hot chocolate.  It is funny to me how the kids love sledding but as soon as you stop they are in tears because they are so cold.  I am just glad my kids love sledding as much as me and glad that Jay is good about always being the driver for us.  We had so much fun sledding.  We probably spent a few hours up there.  It is fun to make these kinds of memories with our kids.

Wrestling

We went to Kamas and watched my brother, Brock, wrestle on Saturday.  We had to leave by five thirty so we could get there in time and have time to get the kids some breakfast.  We watched him wrestle four times during the day.
He won three of them and lost one.  The kids had fun playing with their aunt, uncles, grandpa and grandma.  When we got there that morning the weather was fine but after that it snow the rest of the day.  The drive home that night was very slow.  We ended up getting home just after midnight.  It was fun to see my brother wrestle.  It was the only match we made it too this year so far.

Jr. Jazz

Tyler and Mason did Jr. Jazz this year.  It was their first time doing it.  They were in different age groups but since Jay coached Tyler's group he would put Mason in if one of the kids needed a break since we only had six kids.  Tyler is in the blue shorts and Mason is 25.
I didn't get many pictures and they didn't turn out very good either.  I have found it is hard to take pictures and hold a baby that wants the camera.  Tyler is getting ready to shoot the ball.
Jay with the kids at half time.
This was their first game and they did pretty good.  They played the other team from our town, so they go to school with these kids.  They had fun playing together. I thought it was funny after the game both teams were telling their parents that they won.

Elly turns three!

Every year on Elly's Birthday Jay takes balloons out and puts them on the fence on the side of the road where Elly was born.  She gets so excited when she sees them.  She knows those balloons are for her.  We always go out and take a picture with her there too.

The kids, me, the balloons and the place where Elly was born.
Elly with the balloons Jay brought for her to have at the house.  She loves balloons more then any of my kids have.  The awesome shirt and skirt is what she picked for her birthday since they didn't have what she was getting back in stock because of Christmas.  We are giving her a leap pad.
On her Birthday there was a knock at the door.  There was a delivery for a special little princes.  Someone had sent her three white roses for her birthday.  She was very excited about them and wanted to take them everywhere we went.
This little girl is so cute.  I love having a little girl.  We have lots of fun with her.  She can be hard but she is also a sweet girl.  I was just telling Jay how much fun she has been the last couple of weeks.  I am glad for the fun and good times that help me get through the times when she is in the mood to destroy the house.  She is pretty funny to talk to.  She says some of the funniest things.  I love when she tells me something was so hilarious.  She makes me laugh.
She wanted brownies for her birthday, which made things nice and easy for me.  She had some cousins over and her best friend, Ava.
Happy Birthday to our beautiful little girl.  We love you so much!
