Home Sweet Home

So GREAT news! Our lender finally got our loan paperwork finished. We are doing our walk through and signing on our house on Friday. I am soo excited! It has been a long two months. We get our keys on Tuesday the 13th at 4:00 which gives us about a day and a half to move since our renters move into our current house on the 15th. We are barely making it in time. I was pretty worried we would end up crashing somewhere else and putting our stuff who knows where so our renters could move in. But anyway, we made it. So we'll be moving stuff Tuesday afternoon so if any of you want to send a husband over to lift some furniture we would sure appreciate it! I'm so ready to finally be settled. Hopefully for longer than a few months this time.

Brookie Boo Oh So BIG!!

So today was little Brooklyn's 4 month check-up. I can't believe it has already been four months! I've been seeing all these moms lately with newborns and those days already seem so far away. Everything went well with the doctor. She didn't cry too long for her shots. She was so tough! She weighed in at 11 lbs 3 ounces which is in the 7th percentile. She was 25 inches long which is in the 78th percentile! I couldn't believe there was such a big difference. She is long and skinny just like her mommy was as a little tike. My mom told me today that she used to have to buy me extra long pants and then sew extra elastic into them. I will probably have to do that for her. We are already having a problem with her pants staying up around her waste.

So this is silly that it was so fun for me but I am starting her on rice cereal today and I bought her some cereal and little bowls and spoons. I was so excited! I know..it's weird that something like that would be my enjoyment for the day. But I guess once you become a mom it's those little things like that, that ad some flavor to your day. Now that she is going to start eating cereal she is going to sleep through the night!! (Trying to use the secret) If not...I will be happy with the two hours I get! I guess it's better than nothing right?
