Cinderella

Finally finished Cinderella Is Proof, started this last year for a friend but it got shelved.  I finished the stitching yesterday & turned it into a mini wall hanging this afternoon.  My friends birthday is tomorrow :)

ABC of Aging Artfully-Fair Ribbon

I thought I would post a picture of my completed stitched and framed piece that includes the gold label with the name of the piece added to the frame. Also, a picture of the stitched pieces I entered in our Fort Bend County, TX Fair with my ribbons won.

Saturday 1st - Seasonal Start

Hello all!

I'm afraid I haven't posted to this lovely blog for awhile. My needle has been busy with other projects, but my latest start is a Lizzie Kate :)

It's Autumn Sampler, and I've done a fair bit so far.

I'm stitching this on a piece of mystery fabric using a collection of WDW, DMC and Sampler Threads. It's a mix of recommended threads and what I had to hand. 

This design is perfect for the upcoming season. I hope to get it finished into a small pillow this year!

LK Growing Old

Have so enjoyed stitching this one and love the colours.

Stitched on 40ct hand dyed fabric from Sparklies (sorry cannot find the colour) and using the flosses recommended by LK which are a mix of Crescent Colours and Weeks Dye Works.

Stitching Completed and Framed

I have now completed The ABCs of Aging Artfully and have it framed. It took me 1 year stitching 1 day of week. I love the piece and it has now found a spot on my Living Room wall.

Lizzie Kate Socks and Underwear Santa 2010 stitched with recommended Crescent threads on 10 count confederate grey fabric by Weeks. Only thing, I didn't use was whisper thread for the beard!

Laura's Ho Ho Ho in a Row

Stitched on a Silkweaver Solo with DMC took a few hours to stitch las year and only just got finished this month. I used a christmas print for the back and a purple plum and gold twisted cord with tiny knots and freyed edges for a bit of fancy. I didnt actually like the cording but for some reason it works and looks better in person.

Halloween ABC

Time for a new start :-)

I picked up the chart and floss on ebay for less than a third of the retail value :-) and used the saving to buy the fabric.

I love it already :-) And I should have plenty of time to get it finished and framed in time for halloween :-)

2 Fat Men....

"Snowed In" & "Snow House"

stitched on 28ct khaki evenweave

w/DMC

I picked up all of 6 Fat Men after Christmas and couldn't

resist stitching the first two.  Aren't they jus the cutest??? 

I plan to finish them into little pillows and display

them in a basket to enjoy all winter.

Hopefully it won't take me too long to stitch the others!
