Wrought iron variation - to Cher, Cheryl & Lynne

In the middle of doing the Feb exchange envelopes, I was finishing up the project of pinning the 3,000 envelopes on boards. This was one of the styles I ran across that I had forgotten about. Nobody seemed to like it when I was doing it before so I hope I don't get too hooked on it.

I like the double tulips stamps on the top one where they are not side by side - on Cher's - better than the way they are below - on Cheryl's. I just didn't think of doing it that way soon enough.

I spelled Lynne's last name wrong, but just corrected it with an arrow.

NOTE to anyone who is interested in my secret for folding those little books that I mentioned in the Friday post. I put a description of the process in the comment section.  I should probably go back to the link and click around on directions to see if there are any videos - but - I have a terrifying number of deadlines hanging over my head. So terrifying, I managed to get all my blog posts scheduled through July...

Faber Castell PITT marker

christyR asked what marker i used on the aug 8th post. i answered in the comment section. these were for the august envelope exchange - and most of the ones i sent will pop up in september - but i saw that there were some days with missing envelopes - so filled in here.

TMI or too much idle chatter. what to say about the envelopes? clearly i like that wrought iron style and i like the markers. they are fairly opaque. not as opaque as paint markers but they dry faster. really fast -instantly- as long as the paper is absorbent. i did not try them on glossy paper.

thank you jan - i would not even know these exist but for jan donating to my stash. i still don't know why she doesn't want these.

2 experiments for smash

in using up all the leftovers, i tried some green on these envelopes. not a good choice. then i discovered that the hudson river stamps looked good on this color envelope. they are from paper source and called curry. i wish i had done something else. now, i am out of the curry envelopes but i have more hudson river stamps. i'm sure i have missed smash-girl's b-day. but we should all be happy that my desk and stacks are approximating the level of tidiness that i desire.

desk cleaning - tim gunn, clotheslines, two red scrolls, finn's train

i do not recall if i already posted these envelopes. the top one is from finnbadger. he and i are huge tim gunn fans. i saved the postcard from when tim was in town. i blogged about going to the talk. then i wanted to make it into something fabulous for finn. but in my quest for a clean desk, just mailed it to him without doing anything. so, of course, he mails it back. he's been such a polite little grasshopper. now, it seems like he is messing with me. i have added to it and mailed it back.

this was a second attempt.
not any better than the first.
i might even start removing all these ramirez envelopes that are not blogworthy.
