Various Sci-Fi models

Been a little while since my last post but I was waiting until I had finished my current batch of random sci-fi pieces. There are a few different bits and bobs here and a couple of manufacturers that are new to me, as far as painting their models goes anyway.

Let's kick off with the piece I've just finished working on. It's also the biggest. This is One Shot from Soda Pop Miniatures Relic Knights range.

I'm happy with the end result but it wasn't really fun to work on. I thought Ninja Division (who seem to make these models) worked in digital sculpting. They did the slightly duff models for Palladium Books Robotech game, but I can't tell if this model has been digitally sculpted or hand sculpted. Some soft detail and ill fitting parts could suggest hand sculpting but there are similarities to the 'quality' of the Robotech designs they did so maybe it is digital woo.

Moving on, I painted a few more models by Miniature 13. I think I showed some of the other pieces by this manufacturer a little while back. If I didn't then they'll be on my Facebook page. Seemingly random sci-fi characters funded through Kickstarter.

Finally a few bits by Prodos Games from their Warzone Resurrection range. I'm not too up to speed with Prodos. I'm kind of aware of some of their properties though. At first I wasn't aware that these models were from the new Warzone game. They just don't seem very Warzone to me but what do I know, the original game came out when I wasn't into miniatures and gaming. I assumed these were from some sort of Aliens licence but I was wrong.

Miniature13 sci-fi models

A few models here that I was not aware of previously. Miniature13 is the company and is a new one on me. I don't know if there's a background that fits the models or whether they're just 'cool' figures someone wanted to make. Digital sculpts by the look of things and cast in resin. A couple are available in 54mm but these are all 32mm.

Best of the bunch and my favourites are Frontline and Maybe.

I copied the artwork from the Kickstarter for Frontline so it wasn't just a childish decision to write 'fuck' on a model. Not sure if it's clear but somehow I managed to actually paint a number 8 on the eight ball grenade. First attempt came out spot on so I'm chalking that one up as a complete fluke.

Next a Controller.

Finally for this batch, a pair of Scarecrows.

There's a little background material written on the Kickstarter page but I'm not sure if there's a fully realised world for these models to explain exactly who and what everyone and everything is. I've a few more of these models to do so more to come at some point.
