Vegas!

                   Happy Thanksgiving!! (a little late I know!!) 

  

     It's been a while since my last post and I am sick of the Halloween pictures! We spent the last week in Las Vegas visiting Steve's parents for Thanksgiving! We had a great trip! Hayden did pretty well on the drive, he got a little fussy the last 45 min or so, but all in all not too bad! We had a great week just hanging out with family and eating lots of tasty food! 

It was mostly warm enough to wear shorts!! (Ok that was maybe pushing it a little but it was still pretty warm!) 

Hayden is pretty mobile at this point! Which made a little more work for me! The little stinker loves to push buttons and take remotes!! 

Of course we watched a lot of football! And when I say a lot I mean that is pretty much all we watched! My sister-in-law and I tried to convince Steve's dad to make a deal, we would watch football with him if he would watch the Hills with us! Lets just say he did not go for it! We did manage to squeeze in a few episodes of John and Kate plus 8! We thought we should ease him into girl shows slowly! :)
Steve got a chance to expose Hayden to some "culture"! He he he! Here is to hoping someday we have a house big enough to fit a piano! But for now Grams' Piano will have to do! 
Hayden got his first taste of Cheese Cake Factory pumpkin cheescake! Grams was nice enough to share hers with him, even though it was HER birthday cake and he ate more of it than she did!! 
A little family photo on Hayden's first Thanksgiving!! He seemed to enjoy himself, but was not cooperating for the pictures! Oh well! 

 Just in case you were wondering where Hayden gets his blue eyes from....Grandpa! It is pretty crazy they have almost the exact same eyes! 
Our new Thanksgiving tradition!! The Turkey Bundt cake!!! It was a little harder to do then the picture on the pan made it appear! But Next year I will know better tricks! So if you get a 3-D turkey cake on your porch you will know where it is from!! Rob and Jess...I think you will be first!! :)(Thanks for helping me make it jess!! what a night! he he he!) Sorry I don't know how to rotate a picture!

Trick-or-Treat!!

Happy Halloween!! I know everyone is likely sick of looking at all the Halloween posts but what can I say, I thought Hayden was a pretty funny Zebra! Hayden and I had a great day on Halloween spending the day with my sister Wendy and her kids! We hit the school Halloween parade, which was pretty funny! and then spent the rest of the day hanging out, went to lunch and then had a little Halloween party at Wendy's house! Hayden was only in his costume for about 10 min! It was a little on the warm side and Grandma Joanne said it was just TOO hot!

     until next year!! I guess now on to Thanksgiving and Christmas festivities!! Wahoo!!

Ballon + Dog= Good Tmes!

We went and did a quick trick-or-treat at Grandma Joanne's work and Hayden was lucky enough to score a ballon! He had a pretty good time with it, as did Otis! They play pretty well together! Otis will go and get one of his toys and bring it to Hayden and then they fight over them! Man's (or baby's) best friend I guess!!

Pumpkin Patch!

So yesterday Amber and I went off on another great adventure! Wheeler farm and the pumpkin patch! After a day where pretty much everything that could happen to complicate things DID!! But we did finally get to Wheeler farm at around 4:00, they had tons of great places to take pictures! We had to be pretty fast because it was FREEZING!! Poor little guys nose and eyes were running like crazy! But, all in all he was a pretty good sport! We had such a fun time with Amber and SO appreciate her using her talent to help me out!! We love our Auntie Ambs!! 

So here is a few of the pictures! Sorry to be a lame mom and post so many pictures of my kid but lets be honest, this is pretty much all I have going on! :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMBS!!

I just wanted to give a little shout out to my best friend for her birthday!! Ambs we have been friends for like 15 years now!! We have been through so much! You have been there for me through every important event of my life! I just wanted you to know how much our friendship means to me, you have always been there for me! Whether it was living with me in a heating room, doing a million drive by's, loosing a friend, coming with me to a million family parties, or picking me up all the time and going with me to everything! I have always been able to count on you! Any way not to get too cheesy, cause you know how I am about feelings! :) I just wanted you to know how great you are and how lucky I feel to have you apart of my life! You are more than a friend, you are a sister! Here's to 15 more years!! LOVE!!  Happy Birthday!

Well folks, we finally blessed the little Hayder Potater!! Last Sunday we had little blessing with our friends and family! We had a really fun day, but better yet my fabulous BFF Amber (ha ha ha!) took some really good pictures for us! Who needs Kiddie Kandids when I have her! Thanks so much (again) Ambs!!

5 Months!

Well our little stink pot is officially 5 months old! He is so funny! He is constantly laughing and smiling at everything! He especially thinks our dog is funny and has started to like to play with otis, and when I say play I mean pull his hair and kick at him! Hayden started on solids about a month ago and has never looked back! This boy likes his food! (of course he does he is a Dahl boy!) He is pounding it in! and it shows! He is getting so chubby and we are loving it! people come up to me in the gorcery store all the time and tell me how big he is! (which by the way is kind of annoying! who does that, why would you walk up to a perfect stranger and say your baby is so cute and so big and chubby! I think its weird! good thing I am not sensitive about it, on the bright side maybe people are too distracted by his cute chubby cheeks to notice the homangioma (I don't know how to spell that!!)he he he!) This last week Hayden has started sitting up on his own! which is nice but also kind of a problem because now he always wants to sit, including when I want him to lay down! :) It's so crazy how fast these little guys grow, I swear it was only a few weeks ago he could not even grab a toy and now he is throwing them at me! He has also started having tantrums which is nice! If he drops something he really wants or someone takes something from him he literally turns bright red and screams! Good times, and I am sure they will just get better! :) Well Thanks to Amber I finally have some good pictures of Hayden! I have been too cheap or too lazy, which ever the case may be, to take him to get his picture taken professionally so Amber did it for me. They turned out great and it only took like ten min. plus I got to spend the whole day with Ambs--two birds with one stone!! Any way sorry this post is all about the little guy, I guess thats mostly been what I have been up to though! Thanks so much Ambs! you have no idea how much I appreciate all you do for me! you're the best! I am so glad we got to spend some time with ya before you went back to school!    Here are a few of the pictures Amber took on Friday! (This was after a full day of shopping and no nap for any of us!He pretty much fell apart about ten min. after this as I was driving home!  So it could have been worse!!)

Well there has not been too much going on lately! Kind of the same stuff as usual but I thought I would do a quick post with just a few of our everyday kind of stuff! Sorry it is not too exciting! 

                                   So my new problem to deal with....SUNDAY!!

(This may look like a smile but it is not!!) He has taken to not sleeping well on Saturday nights which is really annoying, plus then through most of church he likes to screech! some times happy screeches some times mad! non the less, I get to spend most of my Sunday in the hall ways!  And it always allows me the privilege of trying to gracefully climb out of the bench in a skirt as all of the cute older ladies on the back row stare at me juggling a baby, a Binky, a bottle and whatever else I may be holding, as I pray I don't drop anything and more importantly don't show off my undies! Then once Hayden finally falls asleep in the foyer the internal struggle begins...Do I go back in the chapel because my back is hurting so bad I don't think I can stand for another second, Or should I just suck it up and stay out in the foyer. To go back in means I have to climb back over the gentleman who has fallen asleep on the end of the row, and does not wake up when I quietly say excuse me. I am going to have to actually tap him on the shoulder and then he jumps awake and is embarrassed as I climb back over him hoping to not wake the sleeping baby! Now if I can climb back over him with out tripping and falling on my face, or accidentally sitting on his lap, and Hayden stays asleep it may be worth it! (even if I do have to wake him up!) But I don't know if its worth the risk, what if the second I sit down Hayden wakes up and I have to start the process all over again! What is a girl to do!  Some day when I am in charge I am going to design a chapel that is easier to get out of! Not sure how but right now I am thinking something like the tubes at the bank might be nice! Mom and baby just jump in and it dumps you right out into the foyer! :)

Catching Up

Well it's been a while since I have posted because Steve has pretty much been hogging the computer doing work stuff! So I am doing a few catch ups!!

Welcome BOB!!

I finally got my jogger! I waited for a long time, but it was worth the wait!  Hayden and I have been enjoying good old B.O.B!

Hayden and I met Kara and her cute little girl Mia to go swimming and have some good old PB&J's! My idea of a good day!

I CAN COOK!!!

Who says I can't cook! Please! I made Muddy Buddies all on my own! I think I am really starting to get this cooking thing! (We won't tell anyone I messed up fruit dip the day before! How would I know you have to beat cream cheese and powdered sugar together first if you don't want it to be clumpy! I honestly spent like an hour trying to stir the clumps out and it still was clumpy!)
