ENT posting...the end! currently, opthalmology (eye) posting...time lunch tadi, borak2 dengan budak yang posting ENT...xsangka...huhuhu...T_T...my patient for long case summary passed away yesterday~..i've been follow up this patient for 2 weeks and looks well in those day...really startled when heard that news...hardly believe that he died because of ENT problem...or probably not died because of that...hm...

that patient..54 year old presented with left purulent ear discharge and ear pain for one week associated with hearing loss and facial asymmetry..he is diabetic for 10 years and also has renal failure for 5 years...he has been in the ward for almost one month! and was in isolated room because positive tuberculosis (TB).hm...provisional diagnosis was left chronic suppurative otitis media because the tympanic membrane was perforated...but doctor still tried to rule out cholesteatoma and malignant otitis externa by doing biopsy of granulation tissue in the left ear..and also ct scan...hm..of course, he is immunosuppressed!

hm...i wish condolences to the family of the patient~
