Adore You

Today, I have a layout on the SRM Stickers blog.  These photos were taken on our spring break trip to Florida. Daphne had absolutely no fear of the water and kept jumping in over and over - irrespective of whether she had a life jacket on or not.  It sure kept everyone on their toes.  I just love these photos of her with my Mom. They both had a ball.

Supplies:  Paper (Lily Bee), Tag (Pink Paislee), Die Cut (heidi Swapp), Buttons (Purple Pumpkin), Stickers (SRM Stickers), Cardstock (Bazzill), Buttons (Rusty Pickle), Tab Punch (Jenni Bowlin)

I think my favourite sticker on this one is the faux zigzag stitch across the top.  You can find one of these borders in each of the border sticker sets.  I use them often!

Be sure to check out the SRM Stickers blog for more fun sticker projects!  Thanks so much for visiting.

Happy Father's Day!

Hello Friends!

I know things on my blog haven't been as busy as I would like, but suffice to know that I am still creating and haven't forgotten about you.  I have a quick post today to honour a very special Dad who is, and always will be, the star of our show.

"Star of Our Show"

Supplies:  Paper (Hambly Studios), Chipboard (Maya Roads), Twine (Twinery), Stickers (SRM Stickers), Letters (Jenni Bowlin Studios, Basic Grey), Button (Rusty Pickle), Tickets (Purple Pumpkin), Pennant Stickers (Jenni Bowlin), Stamp (Creative Café)

I used all kinds of SRM Stickers on this page.  The Father's Day sheet is just perfect for a page like this.

These photos were taken while waiting to see "It's a Bug's Life" at Animal Kingdom.  Look for another layout coming Thursday using more photos from our trip to Florida last March.

See you all again, Thursday.  Thanks for stopping by!

1st Plane Ride

One of our assignments this month with SRM Stickers was to create a SMASH page.  While I have kind of dabbled a small amount with the trend, I still feel a little a lot out of my element with this particular style.  I may have it all wrong, but while creating the page I felt like I was using many of the same techniques I used when I first started scrapbooking.  All your expert SMASHERS out there feel free to share your thoughts on that.

Supplies:  Paper, Die Cut (Heidi Swapp), Stickers (SRM Stickers), Pennant Stickers (Jenni Bowlin), Letters (Pink Paislee, American Crafts), Date Stamp, Zipper, Button

I love these photos of the girls waiting with anticipation to get on the plane;  such a great memory.

Be sure to head on over to the SRM Stickers blog for more details and oodles of stickers inspiration with new posts every day.

Have a wonderful Wednesday and thanks so much for visiting.

The Twinery & SRM Stickers

This month, we had the pleasure as SRM Sticker designers, to product partner with the Twinery.  If you want to be inspired, I encourage you to take a peek at all the amazingly creative ways our team has used twine this week.  Once you've done that, head on over to the Twinery's blog and be prepared to be blown away yet again.  Who knew you could create so many amazing things with twine?

Before you go, here's a peek at what I created with my twine goodies.  These photos are from our trip to Florida on the March break.

"Sunny Smiles"

Supplies:  Paper (My Mind's Eye, Pink Paislee), Stickers (SRM Stickers), Letters (Doodlebug Inc.), Stamp (Close to My Heart), Calendar die cut (Elle Studio), Chipboard (Essentially Bare, Jenni Bowlin),  Twine (The Twinery)

Have fun checking out the SRM and Twinery blogs.  You really are in for a treat.
Have a wonderful Friday.  Thanks, as always, for visiting.

Live Simply

I had the pleasure of attending Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine's  Crop & Create event last weekend and I have to say, if you ever get a chance to go DO IT!!  Seriously.  It was simply fantastic from start to finish and I look forward to attending again next year.

At the crop, there were a number of challenges and one of them was called "Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed and Something Cool".  This is the page I made for the challenge.

Supplies:  Paper, Die Cute (Jillibean Soup), Felt (KI Memories), Doily (Maya Roads), Stickers (SRM Stickers), Tab Punch (Jenni Bowlin)

I bought a second of the Jenni Bowlin punches while at the crop, the tab one that I used on this page.  That was my "something new" element.  I borrowed the date stamp from Cindy and the ribbons are OLD....like Junkitz old.  The photos are old too, from 2009.  The cool part for me is the felt lady bug and that wodden doily.

As is customary at the Crop & Create events, the photo booth was set up.  I love those pompoms and these girls.  We had such a great time!

I'll leave you with that for today.  Stop back again on Friday for a fun product partner with SRM Stickers and The Twinery.

Today I am 2

You would think I had three birthdays this month with all the projects I've been doing.  The only birthday in our house in March is my own!!  I guess I just got behind and on a roll once I started.  Check this page out.  You may remember the photo on my blog last month.

"Today I am 2"

Supplies:  Paper (My Mind's Eye), Stickers (SRM Stickers & Pink Paislee), Flowers (Purple Pumpkin & Prima), Folders (Kaisercrafts),  Tag (Elle's Studio), Misc. Buttons

This burlap (or hessian as they call it) lollipop flower is one by Purple Pumpkin.  I just love all the different textures they use on them.  Earlier this month, I posted a page using one made of vinyl and canvas.  So fun!

You might also  notice the zigzag stitch around the border.  That is a sticker by SRM Stickers.  I love how quick and easy it was to create the stitched look with that one.

I'll leave you with that for today.  Have a wonderful Thursday!

It's your birthday and it's all about YOU!

The title of this page suits my philosophy on birthdays perfectly.  On your birthday, it's all about YOU!  Thanks to pinterest, I get all kinds of different ideas on how to make that happen.  This page highlights one of those ideas.  We covered the ceiling over Julia's bed with balloons on her fourth birthday.  Even though many of them fell by morning, the effect was the same. She woke up in a sea of ballons and she was absolutely thrilled.  We got a request to have the same done for Callie when her birthday came.

Supplies:  Paper (My Mind's Eye), Stickers (SRM Stickers), Die cut (Jenni Bowlin), Buttons/Flower (Purple Pumpkin) Twine (The Twinery)

We had a "Princess for  Day" theme for the birthday party so the day was filled with all things girly and pink.  These Purple Pumpkin embellishments suit the theme perfectly.

There are a number of SRM Stickers on the page.  They really do have a sticker for every occasion.  I love that because they are clear, I can use them on most any surface including photos.

I'll leave you with that for today. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Cookin' With Mom

This project is up on the SRM Stickers blog today.  There is alot of cooking with Mom that goes on around here so it seems only fitting to make a page about it.

"Cookin' With Mom"

Supplies:  Paper (Sassafrass Lass, Jenni Bowlin), Stickers (SRM Stickers), Letters (Jenni Bowlin, Prima), Flower (Jolee's), Border Sticker (Doodlebug Inc.), Felt Flower (Queen & Co.), Diecuts (Jenni Bowlin, Lilly Bee)

I just love the assorment of cooking stickers availalbe through SRM Stickers.  I mounted these title letters onto cardstock and then raised them with foam tape to add some dimension.  There is such great vesatility doing that.  It also allows you to move your stickers around until you are happy with the placement before adhering.

Be sure to visit the SRM Stickers blog every day for all kinds of fun and unique ways to use stickers.

Check back with me on Thursday for another layout.

Happy Spring!

Grammie & Me

I made this page for the Purple Pumpkin blog today.  I just love the colours of this Amy Tangerine line.  What a fun line to work with and well the photo is pretty special, too.

"Grammie & Me"

Supplies:  Paper (American Crafts), Lollipop Flower (Purple Pumpkin Crafts), Letters (Basic Grey & Prima), Trim (Websters), Sticker (SRM Stickers), Transparency (Simple Stories), Film Strip Ribbon (Tim Holtz), Tape (Pink Paislee), Die Cut (Jenni Bowlin Studios), Tag (Maya Roads)

This awesome Purple Pumpkin lollipop flower is a mix of canvas and vinyl.  I just love the book print paper layer on this one with the mix of textures.  So fun and easy to work with.

Look for more projects with this paper line real soon.  In the meantime, check back tomorrow as I will have a post up on the SRM Stickers blog.

Have a fantastic Monday!!

Just Like Mom

Happy March!  Being the first day of the month, a new sketch challenge is posted on the Purple Pumpkin blog and here is my take.  I think this is my most favourite photo of my youngest daughter.  She was playing with a bag of beads when just now she came out all decked out like this.  I couldn't help but snap a photo.

"Just Like Mom"

Supplies:  Paper (Bo Bunny & Pink Paislee), Flowers (Prima), Buttons & Doily (Purple Pumpkin), Trim (Websters), Pin (Jillibean Soup), Calendar Spot (Elle's Studio), Bling (Zva Creative), Letters (Prima, Websters Pages)

I just love the texture the fabric gives to the buttons.

Make sure you get your entries in.  You have until March 31st.

Thanks so much for visiting!

Two New Tools!!

Hello all!  I spent Saturday at a crop and took advantage of the day scrapping to work on my fall photo collection.  I know I've already shared a few Halloween pages, but I still have more to come.  I'm quite certain that I document more fall themed pages than any other season.  Is it because the photos are so beautiful with all the rich colours?  Or is it because there seems to be more "occasions" to dig out the camera?  I dont' know but year after year, I find myself creating oodles of fall projects and this year appears to be no exception.  So here it goes, {10/31}.  This also marks the very first post using SRM goodies.  Yay!!

{10/31}

Supplies:  Paper, Element Stickers (Echo Park), Sentiment Stickers (SRM Stickers), Journaling Spot (Elle's Studio), Bling (Prima), Flower (Jolee's Creations), Banner Punch (Fiskars/Jenni Bowlin)

I bought myself a new punch at the crop....the banner punch by Fiskars/Jenni Bowlin.  It is simply fantastic.  I love it when I buy a punch that works with little to no effort and punches perfect shapes each and every time.  This punch does that.  It's even part of the marketing on the package but I was too excited by the shape to even look at that part.  Although the banner stickers aren't by Jenni Bowlin, these Echo Park stickers worked quite well with the punch;  a great added bonus in my mind.

Second and final tool purchase of the weekend:  Tim Holtz's tiny attacher.  How did I not know how wonderful this stapler is?  All this time I was like, "I have a mini stapler from when I was in elementary school that still works great...why would I need one with Tim Holtz's name on the side?"  I swear it's true.  I should have taken a photo of my beloved stapler.  It's stainless steel with a little red top on it.  I have seriously had it for more than 20 years (okay, maybe 30) and I wouldn't dream of parting with it.  I, however, stand corrected.  My cute little stapler from grade school does not punch through more than two or three layers MAX.  I thought that was the way with all mini staplers.  NOPE.  Not this one.  I ordered it today.  I could resist temptation no longer.  Tim doesn't disappoint. He never does and yes, he makes a better stapler than the average office supply store.  Mr. Holtz, please accept my most sincere apology. I do need a stapler with your name on the side!
Getting back to the layout, here is another close up:

Check out the date/title sticker from SRM Stickers.  Isn't it great? There is another SRM sticker on the layout.  Can you find it??  Clear stickers rock!  Just sayin'.

With that confession behind me, I'm going to sign off for tonight.  Thanks so much for visiting!

Supplies:  Paper & Diecuts (SEI), 10 Things I Love Present (Little Yellow Bicycle), Twine (the Twinery), Buttons (Purple Pumpkin), Brads (Bazzill)

One of my most favourite things about Purple Pumpkin embellishments are their polka dot fabric covered buttons.  Be sure to pop on over to their blog for all kinds of fun crafty ideas.  Don't forget to get your entry in for the January Sketch Challenge either.

All Through the House....

All through our house, Christmas is but a distant memory except in my craft room.  Peachy Cheap had a deal on SEI Christmas paper a few weeks ago and I snagged myself a kit.  I broke into it last night and made this page:

"Happy Holidays"

Supplies:  Paper, Die Cuts (SEI), Brads (Upsy Daisy), Twine (Martha Stewart Crafts), Pearls (Craft Supply Store), Cardstock (Bazzill), Photo by Karyn Fillmore

I love all the coordinating die cuts with this line.  I also LOVE the texture on these corduory brads by Upsy Daisy Designs.

Now that the house is void of decorations, I feel the need to do a deep clean of the house.  Anyone want to come over the help??

Merry Moments

Would you believe that I have an appropriately themed page to share today??  It's a rarity, I know.  I usually create and post most of my Christmas work in the summer. LOL  At any rate, I wanted to post a Christmas page and holiday wish today.

Supplies:  Paper (SEI, Little Yellow Bicycle), Letters (Websters Pages), Button (Purple Pumpkin Crafts), Journaling Sprouts & Pins (Jillibean Soup), Rhinestone Word (Studio 18), Glitter Border (White Blossom)
Photos by Karyn Fillmore

Isn't that Santa just the cutest?  It's another lovely by Purple Pumpkin Crafts.

Before I sign off today, please accept my heartfelt wish for a joyous holiday season with lots of love and laughter.
Merry Christmas!

Hippity Hoppity

If you've been following the Imaginisce blog this week, you will have already seen peeks of their brand new paper line, Hippity Hop.  In sourcing out photos for this line, I stumbled upon a package of Spring, 2011 photos of my girls playing in the rain.  I had forgotten all about them but what really amazed me was just how much they had grown in just a few short months.  WOW!  Check out these pages.

With those, I'll leave you with thoughts of spring and a wish for a wonderful day.  Thanks, as always, for stopping by.

Hello Sunshine!

OK.  So it might not be real sunny today but that isn't going to deter me from posting a fun in the sun page.  As promised, here is my second sprinkler page.

"Hello Sunshine"

Supplies:  Paper (Simple Stories), Tickets, Doily & Button (Purple Pumpkin), Chipboard (Pebbles Inc.), Cardstock: Bazzil, Border Punch (Fiskars)

Grouping tickets together like this can make a nice anchor for an embellishment cluster of Purple Pumpkin goodies.  By stitching the tickets in place, the ends can curl up ever so slightly since they are not glued down.  I love adding these little bits of texture to my pages.

Make sure you come back on Thursday for some holiday themed hairbands.

Thanks so much for visiting.

Sprinkler 101

In keeping with the summer theme as of late, I have a few more fun summer pages to share over the next little while.  Today's page is all about learning how a sprinkler works.

"Sprinkler 101"

Supplies:  Paper (Simple Stories), Chipboard (Pebbles Inc. & Maya Road), Fabric Button (Purple Pumpkin), Acrylic Word (Fancy Pants), Journaling Sprout (Jillibean Soup), Letters (Basic Grey), Twine (The Twinery)

I just love these photos and Simple Stories is a company I've been keeping my eye on lately and am pleased to have finally gotten some of their lines.

I'll leave you with that for today.  Look for another sprinkler page next week.  Until then, have a wonderful weekend!
