The only present we're buying our child...
Thanks to Grandma B., Livy (and Matt and I) will be having an awesome Christmas in Colorado full of freaking awesome presents. So we're under strict directions to buy this kid nothing because Grandma/Santa has already gotten this kid (and Matt and I) everything she/we could ever ask for.
So anywho, we checked with my mom and there was actually one thing left in the world that she hadn't gotten her - a bike! So Matt and I decided we would get our child at least one present this year! And in true Wiseman fashion - we let her open it the second we got it because we were so excited! I don't know what I'm going to do when my kids are older and I actually have to wait to give them their presents on Christmas day - it's going to be LAME! I'm going to be begging to let Matt let them open them earlier...
Anyway, here she is on it. She's still trying to figure out the whole pedaling thing, but how cute does she look on it!

Ward Christmas Party 2009
Last night was our ward Christmas party. Livy had a lot of fun! (Minus the part where she met Santa...) Anywho, she loved playing with all of the older kids. She kept disappearing and then I'd find her in the next room over in the dark just running wild with the other kids. Shouldn't she be creeped out by the dark? She likes to think she's one of the big kids...
We loved the decorating cookies table.
And of course one with Livy's BFF, Cos.

He's killing me from the inside!
So I mentioned in an earlier post that fetuses love the right side of my stomach only. Well, I finally caught him in the act on camera!
Here's a pic of Livy in my tummy. You can't see it as well as you can in the next pic with Adam, but you can see that right side of my tummy is slightly higher than the left.
Anyway, wish me luck! I don't know what's going to happen if he continues this insanity as he gets even BIGGER!
And here's Adam.
BAM!!!! I mean, right??? That looks disgusting!!! Just an FYI - you're looking at my stomach from my point of view and kind of to the side - in case you're a bit confused. The next pic makes a little more sense because you can see my belly button.

Liar Liar Pants on Fire!
(This is the little fibber's mugshot)
I wanted to make sure I documented Livy's first INTENTIONAL lie! Yes, at only 20 months - my baby is on her way to becoming a little habitual liar (just like her uncle Ky).
Okay so quick back story, Livy's been getting out of nap time lately because she pooped. So now she has finally caught on that if she poops - we'll get her from her room and change her diaper. Somehow she has managed to poop almost every day this week RIGHT AFTER we put her down for a nap. Yesterday she pooped TWICE! I mean, how is that even possible?
So anyway, last night Matt was putting Livy to bed. First, she wanted Matt to lay on the bed with her. And not just anywhere on the bed - she wanted him to lay on the inside edge against the wall so that she would know if he got up from his spot... what a sneaky kid. Then, Matt laid with her and sang a couple songs and started to get up and head for the door. She then started to become frantic and then looked at Matt and said "I just pooped!"
So Matt checked her diaper and she was totally lying! Then she made a mad dash for the door and headed to the living room and tried to turn on the T.V.! This kid is so nuts! I thought kids weren't suppose to lie until they were a tad bit older?!?! We haven't even entered the terrible twos yet!
It's gone! It's gone! It's gone!

Santa's Newest Elf
That would be me! Matt got me a sewing machine as an early Christmas present and I decided I wanted to try to make this weird little marionette thing:
Livy has one that was actually mine when I was little and I decided it didn't look too hard to make. So I drew out a pattern and whipped this puppy out in like a couple hours, overall.
Okay so funny story. I was pretty amazed with my first sewing project, but not as much as Matt was. He pretty much thinks I'm incompetent when it comes to crafty and homemaking things. I'll admit - threading the sewing machine is not the easiest thing for me... Luckily my machine came with a how-to DVD - but once the thing is threaded - I know how to sew! Anyway, as I started putting together the pieces of this puppet - Matt looked at me in amazement and said I was some sort of wizard! He kept saying it over and over. It was just funny.
Pregnancy Update:
So I've officially entered the 3rd trimester. It really isn't that bad. I'm still sleeping pretty well. I'm just waking up a couple times a night - always at 5:30 for some weird reason. Lately, at night - I lift up my shirt and let the glorious belly be free. Anywho, I looked down one night and saw Livy rubbing the belly. It was hilarious.
Also, I know we've moved recently so if you need our address - leave your email and I'll send it to you! Maybe I'll be able to convince Matt to let me try Christmas cards again this year. It's not looking too promising, apparently he's still caught up on my past mistakes with sending cards out... but if I get permission - I'll be asking for your addresses! Happy Holidays!

Happy Turkey Day!
For Thanksgiving we got to go to Santa Rosa and spend some Q.T. with some of Matt's familia. We got to experience some sweet reunions with some long lost friends of ours as well. (In well... wait is this job in a well???)
1st Pic: Isn't this pic so cute? She was loving Grandma's glasses. 2nd Pic: Look at these two turkeys. Actually, Matt thinks they look more like llamas. 3rd Pic: Matt and Benny were in charge of peeling the potatoes. 4th Pic: Livy loves Aunt Mamy. She keeps pointing her pictures out now and screaming "Mamy!!!"
1st Pic: This was Livy's Thanksgiving feast - a peanut butter/honey sandwich. Matt and I were pretty much geniuses. We gave her lunch and put her down right before the food was ready so we got to sit and eat in peace - it was amazing! 2nd Pic: Here's a pic of the grown up feast. (Ben, Me, Jer, Amy, and Matt) 3rd Pic: Here's the way cute apron that Livy got from Grandma Sherrie. 4th Pic: Here's what Livy does when I tell her to smile... thanks, Liv. 5th Pic: And here's the stool that Livy was obsessed with all weekend. I'm pretty sure she was trying to reach treats in this one. BUSTED!
Here are some pics of our sweet reunions with Matt's friends that he's had since he was teeny. 1st Pic: This is with the Wilsons. Boston is only a couple months older than Livy, it was funny to see them play together for the first time. He's one of a few boys that we have set up an arranged marriage with. 2nd Pic: This one is with the Stephens. Apparently, the two Matts pulled some interesting stunts as youngins.
Now let's move onto the best part of the weekend, shall we? GO COUGS!!!
1st Pic: Seriously, this kid loves watching football with us. I'm not even kidding. And when we scream - she gets excited and starts yelling, too. Hilarious! We've trained her well. 2nd Pic: Here we are singing the ENTIRE BYU fight song yet again!!! 3rd Pic: She loves her Grandpa Rick. (RICK! RICK! RICK!) She doesn't get to see him a lot but when she does, she always wants to sit with him. She also decided that it was Grandpa's job to hold this tub of leggos throughout the entire game. Every time he put them down, she would come up to him and make him place them on his lap. So silly! 4th Pic: Livy wanted to see who had more teeth, sorry Livy, Amy wins.
Dear Cougs: Thank you for sporting the classic costumes. That was fun. And even though we weren't completely satisfied with the way you played (since you seemingly gave up after half time), you still pulled out the victory, so I guess it's okay. (Matt and I have a theory that both teams and refs are payed off to make the game super close and entertaining. It's all about the ratings...)

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree!!!
Here's our little Christmas baby! She wore this way cute dress to church last Sunday and she even let me curl her hair. However, she did not let me get a cute picture of the whole ensemble, but here are a few attempts: (She would not stop playing with this weird little belt thing! And then things got a little risque...)

Bedtime Fun!
There have been some BIG changes in the Wiseman household as of late. We are proud to announce the arrival of our new... BED!!!
Anyway, we were trying to figure out what to do for a bed for Livy because I wanted to get her out of her crib before the baby comes because I don't want her to see the crib as some sort of territory that the baby will be taking from her - anywho we decided to just put our old bed in her room so that it can be a guest bed as well.
For nap time, I sit with her for a minute and she says "a song, a song." So I sing her a couple songs and then we say night night. Then I turn on this CD we have of Primary Songs but lullaby style that I use to but her to bed with when she was teeny. The second that music starts playing - she's out! Then when she wakes up (2 1/2 hours later), she gets up and knocks on the door and says "Mommy! Daddy! Hello?!?" It's so cute. Our only fear is that she's going to get into Primary and once they start playing music - she'll immediately fall asleep - but that actually might be a good thing for her teachers...
Then for bed time, we've changed from putting her down at 8 to putting her down at 9. We say prayers, sing a couple songs, and then she tells US night night and she falls right asleep! It's great. She usually sleeps until about 7 which we can't complain about.
This next picture documents one of our model parenting strategies. Livy would not stop making crazy noises/whining/saying mommy over and over and over... you get the point - while we were driving one day so we stopped and got her an ice cream cone. We didn't hear another peep out of her until we got home. We also both refused to look back at the consequences of our decision until we absolutely had to. We then had to play rock paper scissors to decide who got her out of the car. Luckily, it wasn't too bad. The destruction of the cone came afterwards after we had put her in her highchair.
And here's just another cute pic of Liv.

Excitement!
I just wanted to record this memory down for my little guy. Last Friday, I was doing something meaningless, I think making some Chili that had a not so good ending. Anywho, as I was preparing the ingredients, I looked down at my GINORMOUS belly (that's right, and I'm still only at 25 weeks...) - anyway, I could picture for just a second, my new little one that I'll get to hold in about three months and the feeling of excitement totally consumed me for just a second. I remember feeling this every now and then with Liv. I mean, I know there's a baby inside of me right now and I feel him every day, but I don't always acknowledge the fact that there's an actual baby who I will get to hold soon! I love being reminded of this! That's all.
Adam - I want you to know that even now, we are super excited to meet you!!!
(Especially Liv. I promise we'll work on the whole hitting babies thing before you get here!)
