Happy Birthday Alexis!!!!

First of all, check out these sweet decorations I got from target. I bought them on Tuesday and left them in the car all week. Last night before we went to bed I realized that I was not going to want to go out to the car at like 4 a.m. to get them so I made up some story about needing to get my jacket out of the car. Luckily Alexis is gullible; my jacket wasn't even in the car. I set my alarm for 3:45 and went to bed.

Looks like a real party doesn't it? Incidentally I didn't cover the picture of Jesus on purpose, that is just a product of decorating while half asleep.

Livy was in heaven when she woke up. BALLOONS EVERYWHERE!!!!

At the risk of sounding like those nerds that post love notes on each others walls on facebook (no offensive everyone, just not my style), I just want to say how awesome my wife is. I could not ask for a more supportive, Gilmore Girls loving, frosting eating 22 year-old wife. You are an amazing mother and wife and Alivia and I are so lucky to have you. We love you! Happy Birthday!

Coolest. Invention. Ever.

Rise all loyal cougars, hurl your challenge to the foe!!! That's right. Whenever the kid does his/her business - it plays the fight song!!! Needless to say, Matt and I can't wait to make this purchase. $40 will totally be worth it! If you think this is as awesome as we do, you can click here.

Bitter Beer Faces

Livy loves pulling faces lately, it's so funny! Here are some awesome ones from this morning. Some of them, I swear, look like the bitter beer face dude. See for yourself!
Also, today was the first day I was able to play with her hair! Yay! It's getting so long - I love it!

And, her love extends beyond just the Oreo, Girl Scouts' thin mints are also a new beloved cookie.Oh and a slide update: We went back to the park where she first fell in love with the slide and we had some major success! At first, she wasn't too sure, but now she's scooting down it all by herself now! Woo!

The Eye Roll at 11 Months - What?!?! Also, the "Woah"

That's right. Livy has rolled her eyes at us. I was thinking about blogging about it, but then I was like, how am I ever going to catch that on camera. AND THEN I DID! It's hilarious.

She also has been saying "Woah" all the time, lately. It's really cute. Yet another thing I wanted to catch on camera, and then right after she rolled her eyes on camera - she said woah! YES! I couldn't be happier with this kid. So here it is. Livy's eye roll.

(Note: The "Stop It" is being said to Matt who would not stop clicking his tongue!)

Livy anticipating the flash...

This kid has a love of Oreos that, I'm proud to say, she got from me. It's unfortunate that she was wearing a cute dress this day...

Fun - and not so much fun - on the slide

So before the little one got ridiculously sick, we took her to the park and she found out that she LOVES the slide. She started scooting herself down the slide and going down all by herself. So the next day we take her to the park again because I wanted to get a video of this love. So we set her up on the slide - she get's SUPER excited and starts to go down and here's what we caught on video...

It was so sad!!! She got caught on her cute little Pumas. She was fine, just scared. And now she refuses to go down the slide unless one of us is holding her hand. So sad. Hopefully, the next time we take her, she will have forgotten the whole thing ever happened. It's kind of hilarious that we got this on video, though.

Cute little bugger:

The Latest Wiseman Residence update

Here are some pics of our new place. I refuse to show you our bedroom because that's the danger zone. We still have boxes and stuff in there that I plan on never putting away. I'm going to direct you as if you were going through a tour of our little apartment. Get excited.

So here's what you see when you first walk in. Our lovely living room.

Couches: $Free thanks to Mom and Dad.
Entertainment Center: $Free thanks to the Matthews.

Then if you turn your head slightly to the right you'll see our dining room.

Kitchen Table and Chairs: $Free - thank you Susan and Jason (My aunt and uncle)

Now, if you turn your head a tad bit more to the right you'll see our entire kitchen. We've jam-packed every thing we have into every possible space. I like to think of it as "homey." Not to be confused with the word "homely" which the Wiseman boys believe to mean "pioneer-y."

Microwave: Basically Free thanks to Luke and Andrea.

Next, if we take a walk down our 7 foot long hallway and take a right, you'll see Livy's bathroom. Matt and I actually use this bathroom to get ready and we use our bathroom for Livy's baths at night. Funny.

And here's Livy's room at the end of the very long hallway... This is the view when you look inside.

Now when you walk into her room and turn around, here's what you'll see. Whenever I'm playing, Livy loves to get up on my lap and pound the crap out of the piano. She also does this with our computer keyboard. Awesome.

And that's it for your tour of our lovely home. Now for some updates.

I don't know if you noticed in the first pic, but here's my newest hubby. He's pulling a Britney Spears. We're expecting huge success in the near future.

And poor little Livers is super sick right now. Cough, fever, runny nose, the works. I feel so bad. So she's been passed out a lot lately.

All About My First Baby

So I did this on FB and I want to have it documented on the blog. Feel free to copy and paste if you want to remember this as well. (Paste with your own answers, unless you really want to remember my memories... kind of weird, but I won't judge...)

All About My First Baby

1. WAS YOUR FIRST PREGNANCY PLANNED?: Yes. We went off the BC thinking it would take months but we couldn't be more wrong. The next WEEK I was preggo.

2. WERE YOU MARRIED AT THE TIME?: Yep, we had almost made it to the year mark.

3. WHAT WERE YOUR REACTIONS?: Matt and I didn't say anything to each other for an entire minute. Then we got really hyper (it was like 1 in the morning) and we made a home movie to record our reactions. The movie somehow ended with Matt doing a munchkin dance on his knees... hilarious!

5. HOW OLD WERE YOU?: I was 20 when I got pregnant and barely 21 when I had Livy. And yes, people continue to ask how old I am when I take Livy around.

6. HOW DID YOU FIND OUT YOU WERE PREGNANT?: Matt brought home a pregnancy test and then I told him I was going to take it when he was at work. (I had my reasons.) So he then bribed me by saying that if I take the test and it's positive - he would take me to IHOP. So I took the test and then Matt and I left the test in the bathroom for 3 minutes because in the movies they never look at the test - you have to leave it alone. So then we went back into the bathroom and BAM! I was with child.

7. WHO DID YOU TELL FIRST?: I think we told Matt's sister, Amy, and my friend, Michelle first.

8. DID YOU WANT TO FIND OUT THE SEX?: Uh yeah! In fact, I made Matt take me to Fetal Studios in the mall at 15 weeks (the earliest you can tell the sex) and I got an ultra sound from a "doctor" who claimed he was an OBGYN in Europe. Whatev, he told us we were having a girl and his story checked out 5 weeks later.

9. DUE DATE?: April 6th, 2008 - a very holy date. We could tell from there she was going to be pretty religious... Also that was conference weekend. Super holy.

10. DID YOU HAVE MORNING SICKNESS?: I wanted to die pretty much every morning. I worked at 7 in the morning at the time, so I would wake up, shower, puke, try to eat something, and then puke if I attempted to eat and then Matt would take me to school and drop me off. I lost 15 pounds that first trimester.

11. WHAT DID YOU CRAVE?: I don't remember. I crave things when I'm not pregnant and then I don't crave anything when I am. For the first little while I craved philly cheese steak sandwiches from the Italian Plance. Mmmm.

12. WHO/WHAT IRRITATED YOU THE MOST?: Matt's smell, sorry babe. And I was always freaking itchy at night. It was horrible.

13. WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST CHILD'S SEX?: Girl!

14. DID YOU WISH YOU HAD THE OPPOSITE SEX OF WHAT YOU WERE GETTING?: I did at the time. I have all brothers and girls really scare me. Plus I am not looking forward to freaking Hannah Montana phases and junior high and high school all over again. Bleh! But I learned that having a little girls is pretty awesome.

15. HOW MANY POUNDS DID YOU GAIN?: I think around 25 - 30ish.

16. DID YOU HAVE BABY SHOWERS?: Yep. It turned out to be fun, but I don't ever want another one again.

17. WAS IT A SURPRISE OR DID YOU KNOW?: I knew.

18.DID YOU HAVE ANY COMPLICATIONS DURING YOUR PREGNANCY?: Yes. I was induced 3 days after the due date and after 11 hours of labor I wasn't dilated all the way yet, but the placenta started to detach, which isn't suppose to happen until after she's out. So I was losing a ton of blood and Livy was swallowing a ton of blood. So we had to do an emergency C-section. Everything turned out okay in the end.

19. WHERE DID YOU GIVE BIRTH?: American Fork Hospital where me and my brothers were all born.

20. HOW MANY HOURS WERE YOU IN LABOR?: 11 freaking hours.

21. WHO DROVE YOU TO THE HOSPITAL?: Matt.

22. WHO WATCHED YOU GIVE BIRTH?: Well Matt got to see Livy being taken out at the end. So he was sort of able to watch.

23. WAS IT NATURAL OR C-SECTION?: C-section - bleh!

24. DID YOU TAKE MEDICINE TO EASE THE PAIN?: Uh yeah! I never felt ONE contraction and I never will as far as I'm concerned. Yay for epidurals!

25. HOW MUCH DID YOUR CHILD WEIGH?: 7 lbs. 3 oz.

26. WHEN WAS YOUR CHILD ACTUALLY BORN?: April 9, 2008 at 6:06 p.m.

27. WHAT DID YOU NAME YOUR CHILD?: Alivia Maria Wiseman. I spelled her name with an A because I don't like O's... that's really the truth.

28. HOW OLD IS YOUR FIRST BORN TODAY?: Almost 10 freaking months!

Lovers of Loving Love Volume 4

So for every V-day, Matt makes me a new volume of the burned CD he created and named "Lovers of Loving Love." The first volume was created when we were dating. Since we were driving out here on Valentine's Day, he gave me my CD today! Woo! Here's the list of awesome songs.

(Note: Sometimes there's no love reason for the song, it's just a song we both love, just so you're not confused.)

1. Angel by Jack Johnson (Matt says this is the song he would've written me if he wrote songs. That would be way cuter if he hadn't of written a song for his old girlfriend and has yet to write one for me...)
2. Best Days by Matt White (While we were watching Scrubs I told Matt that I like this song and I wanted it on the CD and he remembered! Yes!)
3. Have it All by Jeremy Kay
4. You Found Me by The Fray (We love The Fray)
5. Sold by John Michael Montgomery (Matt refuses to believe this song was on last year's volume... YES IT WAS)
6. Stop and Stare by One Republic
7. I'm Yours by Jason Mraz (This song just makes us happy - how can it not make anyone feel happy??)
8. Just to Hear You Say that you Love Me by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill
9. Blue Eyes by Cary Brothers (Awesome song)
10. Banana Pancakes by Jack Johnson (This song explains our last year together)
11. Can't Get Enough of Your Love by Barry White (Hilarious)
12. The Way You Love Me by Faith Hill (I'm still in love with this song.)
13. To Make You Feel My Love by Garth Brooks (I've made Matt watch Hope Floats more than once...)
14. I Wanna Love You Forever by Jessica Simpson (CLASSIC! Matt threw me a bone here to his much distaste for the song.)
15. Send Her My Love by Journey (My favorite Journey song)
16. She Will Be Loved by Maroon 5
17. The Book of Love by Peter Gabriel
18. Love Will Keep Us Alive by The Eagles
19. I Knew I Loved You by Savage Garden (Another classic)
20. It's Your Love by Tim McGraw (The song we danced to at our wedding and right before we got engaged)
21. Do You Remember by Jack Johnson (Can you tell that we love Jack?)

Love you, babe, you're amazing!!!

On our honeymoon in Hawaii. Oh the good old days.

And of course, a cute picture of our little one. These days are even better.

Time to Catch Up!

It has been a freaking CRAY-ZAY couple of weeks for the Wisemans. We've finally settled in most of our apartment, so now that I have a chance to breathe, I can finally catch up on everything. Now, hold on tight 'cause here we goooooooooooo! (Little Einsteins reference, of course.)

Our first big move!!!

So during our last week of living in Utah, we had a pretty jam packed schedule. Luckily, we were able to spend a lot of time with family and friends. On Thursday, our friends, the Packs, threw us a surprise going away party and we freaking loved it. I jacked some pics from Shara's blog - thanks!

Here we have Crystal, Shayla, Cristina, and I in a very deep conversation.

This is the men's section of the party. Check out the freaking awesome decorations! Woo!

And here's Livy, Kaylee, and AveriElle playing. I love what's happening with each kid. Kaylee was the only one ready to have her picture taken and Livy's been caught trying to climb the gate to stair heaven.

Also, we got some time in with the Matthews, and Livy got to say goodbye to her future husband, Skyler. These two are so freaking cute together. They would play in church together and Livy would try to hug him. We're going to miss our Monday nights with these guys. This is what it looks like when they play together. Livy's always planning her attack. Look out, Skyler, she's after you again!

Also, Livy got to disobey us and climb these stairs for the last time! No more stairs in our apartment, sucker!
And during this week, I came home and Matt showed me this picture. I was like... cool, babe. And then I realized it was a picture of her standing on her own. She stands now! She'll even try to take steps and then wuss out.
Here's a last look at our house as it looked the morning we left - on Valentine's Day. Isn't it pretty with the snow? Go babe!

Here's Matt driving us out to CA for the second time in the last two weeks. No tickets this time babe! Woo!

And here's a look at the back of our car on the way there. Livers was tucked in amongst all of the crap. It took 13 freaking hours because of the snow in Utah that day. It was crazy, but we made it through safe thanks to many prayers! And thanks to Matt's dad coming out and driving the Uhaul!

Also, GREAT NEWS! See this gross goup eye!?!?! We haven't seen it for the last two days! Apparently, CA has healed it! Hooray!
Hopefully we'll have pics of the apartment soon once we get all settled in!

Babysitting in good old CO

I use the babysitting term lightly because my baby brother is 12 and besides having to tell the little butthead to brush his teeth in the morning, he can pretty much take care of himself. So basically, it was me and Livy staring at each other all day long saying "What d'you do want to do?" "I don't know, what d'you want to do?" (Jungle Book reference, the vultures, it's hilarious if you know what I'm talking about...)

Here's Livy with Ky. She bonded with him during that week. When he would come home from school, she would get so excited! I guess he made up for Matt being gone. Everytime we got on iChat to talk to him, she would try to reach through the computer to him.

I did learn some things about the grasp that Livers has on the English language. Apparenly, we haven't been teaching her what the word NO actually means.

For example...

I said: "Livy, don't touch those diapers."Livy's translation: "Take down all of the diapers and start chewing on them."

I said: "Livy, don't go up those stairs."Livy's translation: "Climb up all of the stairs and look back at me to make sure I'm watching you deliberately disobeying me."

Also, while we were there, my mom handed me this big bag of awesome bows that this person in her ward randomly made me. They were so freaking cute! Here's some pigtail awesomeness. The green ones I made, but the red ones the other lady made.

Just stuffing my wedding ring into her mouth... no biggie.

Here's another trick Livy picked up while I wasn't watching. She then got up and tried to climb up on the top level. Oh dear.

Looking for a place to live and a job...

Matt and I went out to CA looking for some basic necessities, an apartment, a job, no biggie. We stayed with Matt's brother, Luke. Livers had so much fun with her cousins. She loves them. Here's Cal. This kid is famous for slyly asking "What's this?" while picking up any random electronic device. That's his way in. It's so funny. Any time Matt was there, he would immediately ask to play "Penguins" on his iphone. He ended up teaching Matt how to play that game...

Here's Gabrielle. Livy loves playing with her. It's so cute. After we had been out one day looking at places, we came back to Luke's and Gabrielle told Andrea that she thinks that Livy really missed her that day. It was true.

Livy, who's your favorite cousin??

Also, while we were there, Livy freaking pulled a laptop on top of herself. Luckily, this was the only battle wound. This kid freaking climbs up and gets into everything!!!
And we finally caught her weird OHHHHH thing on camera. It's so funny. She says the word Oh and holds it out for a really long time while using a weird smoker voice. So freaking hilarious.
