 This is the last post with figures painted by my brother. He is still working on stuff, but had less time recently to dedicate to painting.

IlVJ is back on track

 It looks like IlVJ is back painting again, here are some more figures I recently finished.

He is still working on the Africa Pulp/Call of Cthulhu project, we will hopefully be able to field these figures in some game soon.

IlVJ paints again

 This week a special post, my brother finished painting something after almost two years.

Time for great celebrations. He has not been completely inactive on the hobby side of things, but he didn't get much done in terms of painting, but it looks like he finally found his motivation again and completed a set of Wargames Foundry Pygmies he started over two years ago.

These will be used of his African skirmish/RPG project, last summer he had a game of the call of Cthulhu that involved a miniatures scenario with our friend Luca as a GM.

French Foreign Legion in 1/72 scale

 This is another set from Esci from those that my friend Felé gave me some years ago, it is not complete, but I still got two decent units in different styles of uniform.

These were a lot of fun and gave me an excuse to ready the Osprey book about this famous unit of the French army.

Terrain pieces and accessories/Terreni ed accessori

IlVJ just finished a big project for his colonial wargames as well as a Perry Miniatures ACW church that he painted in a very generic way, so that he can use it for WWII, Napoleonics and whatever fits into a European theatre.

He also took a few extra pictures of colonial skirmish "scenes".

IlVJ ha appena finito un progetto di una certa dimensione per le sue partite di wargames coloniali, oltre ad una chiesa della Perry Miniatures della guerra civile americana che ha pero' dipinto in modo molto generico per poterla usare per la seconda guerra mondiale, per il napoleonico, o qualunque altro teatro europeo.Ha anche scattato qualche foto extra di "scenette" di schermaglie coloniali.

Back to Africa/Di nuovo in Africa

These are a bunch of models IlVJ painted quite a while ago, but never took pictures of. During my visit I noticed them and took the chance to take pictures.
Apparently he hasn't been playing many games recently (none), so the interest drifted to other periods (mostly Napoleonic and WWII), but I hope he'll get around to do more colonial stuff and maybe start playing Congo, I checked the book at his place and it really looks interesting, with that feel between wargame and rpg.

Questi sono alcuni pezzi che IlVJ ha dipinto qualche tempo fa, ma di cui non ha mai fatto le foto. Durante la mia visita ne ho approfittato per rettificare questa mancanza.
A quanto pare IlVJ non e' riuscito a giocare molto (niente) a ciochi coloniali, quindi l'interesse si e' spostato ad altri periodi (principalmente napoleonico e seconda guerra modiale), ma spero che torni a dipingere altri pezzi per il coloniale e magari inizi a giocare a Congo, ho sfogliato il libro a casa sua e sembra molto interessante, con un gusto tra il wargame ed il gioco di ruolo, molto narrativo.
