Tartar cavalry/Cavalleria Tartara

IlVJ has finally finished 20 stands of cavalry for his Tartar/Turkish army. These models, together with the light horses and some infantry he is still painting will make up an army of Tartars morphable into Turkis. For this reason the style of painting and choice of colours is a bit unusual, so the models will fit into both armies/IlVJ ha finalmente finito 20 basi di cavalleria per il suo esercito di Tartari/Turchi. Questi cavalieri, insieme alla cavalleria leggera e un po' di fanteria che sta ancora dipingendo, formano un esercito di Tartari morfabile in uno di Turchi. Per questo motivo lo stile di colorazione e la scelta dei colori stessi sono un po' inusuali, ma questo permetterà ai modelli di star bene sia in uno che nell'altro esercito.

A DBR game/Una partita a DBR

IlVJ has recently been in Italy on holiday, so we managed a little DBR game pitching his Savoy army against the start of my Louis XIV French. We didn't actually finish the game, but it was a good one/IlVj è stato in Italia per le vacanze, quindi siamo riusciti a fare una partita a DBR con i suoi Savoia contro il mio piccolo esercito di Francesi di Luigi XIV. Non siamo riusciti a finire la partita, ma è stata comunque divertente.

These are IlVJ's latest additions to his DBR armies, Tartars and St. John knights. He is slowly but steadily completing the Tartars while St. John knights should now be completed, the army is quite enormous indeed/Queste sono le ultime aggiunte del VJ ai suoi eserciti di DBR, Tartari e cavalieri dell'ordine di San Giovanni. Sta lentamente completando i Tartari, i cavalieri di San Giovanni invece si può dire che siano completi, l'esercito ha ormai raggiunto dimensioni imponenti.

Louis XIV french/Francesi di Luigi XIV

This is the first part of my Louis XIV army, I still have to paint a ton of cavalry, some artillery and the baggage train. It will take me long, but I'll try to finish the whole army before the end of 2010/Questa è la prima parte del mio esercito di Luigi XIV, devo ancora dipingere una tonnellata di cavalleria, dell'artiglieria e il treno delle salmerizie. Spanish infantry XVII century/Fanteria spagnola XVII secolo

This week I only have one picture to post, I've started to paint some Spanish and French troops for the late XVII century DBR project to match my brother's Savoys. These spanish are a kind of experiment to see how they paint up. I'll now be working on the French as well, so expect some posts on them as well/Questa settimana ho una sola foto da postare, ho iniziato degli spagnoli e francesi del tardo XVII secolo per DBR, da usare con i Savoia di mio fratello. Dark age thatched house. This wonderfull model was made by our friend Garner who wanted to try to build it as it was built in reality. He started with a wooden frame over wich he built all the details. Thare are a lots of pictures because we want to show how detailed and well constructed it is/Casa anglosassone con tetto in paglia. Questo fantastico pezzo è stato creato dal nostro amico Garner che voleva provare a costruirlo come venivano costruite le case del tempo. E' partito da uno scheletro di legno sul quale ha aggiunto i vari dettagli. Ci sono parecchie foto perchè vogliamo mostrare quanti dettagli e quanta cura sono stati messi in questo modello.

Italian medieval castle. We don't know the manufacturer, this piece was trod with a friend and we use it as a BUA (built up area) for DBR. The ditch is filled with a thick layer of water effect/Castello medievale italiano. Non sappiamo quale sia la ditta produttrice di questo pezzo. Fu scambiato con un amico e viene usato come BUA (area urbana) per DBR. il fossato è stato riempito con uno spesso strato di water effect. Painted by IlVj
