Lots of photos, and not even one of something stitched

Up to the first photo, the one of the soper cute surprize Nia sent me! Even if I wasn't the winner of her giveaway! How awsome is that? I will tell you exactly how awesome - as awesome as a giraffe!

Isn'r he the cutest?!? I'll call him Amadeus. Thank you so much sweet Nia!
Next to Amadeus you're seeing my Tusal jar. Not that much from last time, apart from some frogging fluff that is not entirely visible, because beading doesn't take much tread, hence not much to put in the jar.

Today we went with mom to see an exhibition of Tracian golden and silver treasures. I think they're a pretty fancy, especially given how many centuries before Christ they were made, and really, really shiny. They've also made the room to ressemble a tomb.  I took some very unprofessional photos:

Tusal and castle progress

Wow, it's been a while since I posted a Tusal photo. But for this months's edition, I brought my Uni town orts and combined them (if you're wondering, it does feel kind fof silly to carry a bag with thread scraps when you don't know where to put all the other things you have to bring). In my mind, combining the orts from the two jars was almost like fusing two monsters from Yu-gi-oh, and in reality... well not that awesome in any case. Well here's the photo!

I wonder, am I the only one who can't put an artictic or at least good looking Tusal photo?
As for the Moon castle, it's going quite well, but not much to put in the jar from it.

I'm having tons of fun with it, but tomorrow we're going on a little trip, and I won't be bringing it with me. Instead, I'll take the Fairy, because Mom seems to take liking to it, and the One Sheep Open Sligh, because I really want to have something appropriate for the end of the Jolly July. As you see, from the Hermit and Stitch day, I won't be able to make the hernitting part, but I will try my best with the stitching.
We'll probably have internet in the hotel, but if you don't hear from me in the next 5 days, I'm wishing you now happy IHSW :D

Този Тусал е малко специален, не само заради дългото прекъсване. От Варна си домъкнах цялото съдържание на тамошното Тусал бурканче и го прибавих към тукашното. Във въобажението ми това беше като грандиозните сливания на чудовищата от Ю-ги-о, всъщност... е, не беше така зрелищно.
Обаче изглежда аз съм единственият човек, който не може да направи артистична, или поне хубава снимка за Тусала. Всъщност, ще ви оставя да размишлявате върху дълбокото философско значение на буркан с конци върху скенер.
Колкото до Лунният замък, той си върви много добре, но ще се наложи да го оставя за малко. Заминаваме за няколко дни на почивка, и там със себе си ще замъкна Феята (защото мама си хареса нея, повече, отколкото замъка - за мое учудване) и Овчата шейна, защото искам да имам какво да покажа накрая на месеца за Темалишъса . Този уикенд е IHSW, но поради екскурзионните планове хърмитването няма да стане, затова пък се надявам все пак да наваксам с частта с шиенето.
И накрая, преди да пожелая лека нощ, Ния, която този месец има не само блого рожден ден, но и истински рожден ден, прави блог кенди по случая с ваучер за 123stitch. Ако досега не сте посещавали блога и, сега е подходящ момент да попълните пропуска и да се заредите оттам със свежи идеи и оптимизъм и енергия в промишлени количества :D

Happy Towel Day

I missed posting on Star Wars day.
I missed posting yesterday for the day of tthe Cyrillic alphabet.
So I decided, damn, I'm not missing Towel Day too!

No fairy tale today, because it's time for the Hitchiker's Guide! I hope you all Douglas Adams' fans out there grabbed your fav towel to commemorate him, and to eventually try to get out of this planet. Do you read me out there?

On with some more randomness, I could show you one of my TUSAL jars, it did get some love this month actually, because in a moment of temptation I stitched on my Spring. Also with it you can see my anatomy book with a handmade felt cover - one of the winners of my giveaway will recieve some of the same fabric, I hope it will show up in the post soon. 

 I made the cover wuite some time ago. Less than 15 minutes of work. I so can see this trimmed with some ecru lace or flowers from the same fabric, but let's face it. I've been carrying this with me everywhere. After a couple of vists in the disection rooms and wash-ups, I don't think the lace or whatever would survive.

Other random notes - By the bay needleart will be hlding a mystery  sal
and a new anime cross stitch patterns blog , featuring for now huuuge patterns but still very cool! While it's only in Bulgarian, I'm pretty sure that if you decide to check some pattern, you will have no problems figuring the link.

And last: UK, your song for this year's Eurovision is BEAUTIFUL. AWESOME, I LOVE it.
This year we had a great selection of songs (a surprise for me, as usually Eurovision fails to get me. Costumes are usually tasteless and songs, in the best case, aim for one summer hits). But this year I have a few favs among those who went on finals (I can name Serbia, Italy, Iceland, Macedonia) but United Kingdom's is the best, hands down.
You have my vote on Saturday, and if you're in Europe and don't have a favoritem you can do so as well. (Bulgaria didn't get to finals, or else I'd be probably urging you to vote for us, lol XD )
But. Whyyyy the first suggestion when I go to Youtube and type "Eurovision" is "eurovision unated states"?! Seriously...

Изпуснах да постна за 24 май. Изпуснах за деня на Междузведни войни. Обаче реших, че е крайно време да се прекъсне тази поредица, и затова: Честит ден на хавлията! Та 25 май всички фенове на Дъглас Адамс и неговия Пътеводител грабват любимата си хавлия за да го почетат, и евентуално да се опитат да се измъкнат на стоп от тази планета.


Иначе за да бъде този пост абсолютно и очарователно рандом, добавих снимка на закъснял Тусал, придружена от учебника ми по анатомия във филцова домашно направена дрешка, за точно 15 минути. Изкушаващо беше да и добавя я дантелка, я цветче... обаче като знам как навсякъде я мъкна със себе си, след няколко посещения в дисекционни и изпирания, която и да е дантелка съвсем ще се издантелчи.

Още да добавим, че  By the bay needleart организира САЛ
а се заражда и ново блогче за аниме гобленови схеми - Гоблени и още нещо - на което може да се намерят доооста големи, но затова пък много хубави схемички.
 И за да завършим, песента за Евровизия на Англия е много добра. Наистина много добра. Тази година наистина се изненадах колко много сносни песни има, защото като цяло приемам Евровизия за парад на безвкусни костюми и песни, които в най-добрия случай целят да станат летен хит еднодневка, но този път си харесах повече от една песен.
И все пак Обединеното кралство си остава моят фаворит

More photos, less talking

Hello dears!You know, this post was supposed to happend sometime right after Easter. But however I look at it, mmm it's not right after anymore. As an excuse I can only say that I had a bucnh of end-of-term exams, brains last Friday, phisilogy of blood and breathing on Monday, and upper and lower limbs tomorrow, all of this was maybe an infor you didn't need, but still wish me luck for tomorrow!
But for now I'll quitt talking and show you some very random, and quite outdated photos:
First look at the awesome book Jo from Serendipitous Stitching sent me! Just like this, out of pure awesomeness! This was my mystery mail, as you may have guessed! I couldn't help but read a page (or two, or more) instead of keeping it straight to anatomy, and it's oh so good!

Then I have some eggs . Home eggs, eggs and granny's, and street eggs. The first photo was taken after the first battle round, so the number of eggs is quite low compared to what it used to be. My battle egg was green with dots, and I had all chances to make it for a win, but you know what happened? Mom dropped it while packing the eggs we were going to take to grandma's to continue the fight there. That's a conspiracy!!  So anyway, there were no real winners as all the eggs broke. but it has a good side too, because it's really sad when you just whant to eat some eggs and yours all refuse to break! XD
 
 In the end I went on fighting with the purple doted egg

 








 
And now how about a very outdated phopo, featuring the tree I put my martenichki on, it was just a month ago, and right next to the zoo. I can recognize some of mine, but I can describe them only with "that red and white ones"and I don't think this will help you spotting them. I usually prefer  the pink of white trees, but first is first, so this year it's yellow

Aah, finally my Tusal! Well at least this time I found a nice jar instead that can to put the orts in. Not much new in here, as most of the orts this month went in the other town jar.

Now, on the other stuff. Hmm I know, I know, I'm a bad bad person, but it's so addivtive you know. Any of this I can do without changing my reading habbits and the books I planned to read; and without going out of my comfort zone - except for the King books, but then again, that was planned anyway. And actually, I can probably do all my challenges, just with the books I already have in my possesion. Sadly, I can't promise I can go on without adding new titles to my ever growing TBR pile. Like, I really want to buy The Hunger games, but... aah whatever.
But before that, I actually completed one challenge, you know! It's not exactly a reading challenge, but it's word realted - it's the Word Dynamo challenge! I'm not that hopeless, you see! It's site that counts the number of words you know, based on how you do various mini themed tests. And with levels you're becoming from screw to dynamo. Thank godness I didn't have to pass the test to explain the meanings of all the 20 so levels, because that would be an epic fail. There are tests not included in the challenge and I'll probably go on, just to make it at least 40 000


Nooow on to the bad girl part.
Here is what I got:
The rules of the Romance reading chalenge, hosted by Thebookworm blog are to read 5 romantic novels between January 1st and December 31st. As long as the there's romance between the 2 main character, it counts; rereads are also welcome (so good for me, because I reread Sence and Sensibility, after the movie bable that was inevitable!). Aaand book reviews are expected

The YA reading challenge by the Eclectic Bookshelf (btw - if someone is doing this, or have more info on if this blog is still active, if it had moved or wahtever, is welcomed to share)

I'm joining at the lowest level, The Mini YA Reading Challenge – Read 12 Young Adult novels.

The Horror0 Thriller challenge, hosted by Sweeping me. I had one teen horror book for my bday, 2 S Kings waiting for I don't now how long - ok now, I'm not a fan of his. I don't mind horror, nor I think he's not a good author, I just don't like his style. But there are some books that are so well known that if you don't read them for yourslef, you'll feel like a bad, bad reader.
This challenge's lowest level is 01-10 – Carousel. I plan to set it for myself on 5 books and get on the Carousel

The Romance and the Horror challenge say that book reviews are a must. I haven't decided yet wether I'm going to post the book reviews here or on Shelfari (so if you really are against book reviews on a crafty blog, better speak now.) I will probably write the ones for the finished books since the beginning of the year that fit these the next weekend. Also I may do a reading wrap up post, as the TBR challenge said to stay tuned in March. Hmm if I make it through with the books I have planned for the Horror challenge, I will be done as well with that one Stephen King one.. but begone, begone you demons of challenges!

Hmm that's all I think. Oh and thank you all for the wonderful comments amd sorry I'm such a bad replier. The purple fabric is hand dyed and I received it as a giveaway present years ago. I call it my snowman fabric because snowmen are just perfect on it.

So late with IHSW and TUSAL

What to start with.. let it be the IHSW.

I did quite some stitching the last weekend , but can't show you all of it. One part is secret, other is well, not on experimental stage anymore, but still needs some more work before I show you a wip of it.
Still, what I can show you is my biscornu wip and my Hogfather start!
Hogwarts biscornu from KiwiStitch! I remember when I had to rediscover the paattern after seeing it in the internet I googled "kiwi stitching Hogwarts Star Trek Pokemon" which lead me to the right result. Pretty awesome place as you see. Not much on this though, because I found a miscounting that let to lots of frogging. Nah. I still hope I can finish it till the end of the month..

Миналият уикенд беше IHSW, отчета за който трябваше да е в понеделник, и очевидно съм закъсняла. А и не мога да покажа всички неща, върху които работех този уикенд - някои трябва първо да си стигнат другарчето, а други, въпреки че вече не са в експериментален етап, още им трябва малко работа, преди да видят бял свят, макар и като уип-ове.
Това което мога да покажа обаче е Хогуортс бискорнюто. И то не е напреднало много горкото, защото имаше грешка и трябваше да се разшива. Все още тая надежди обаче да го свърша навреме за квалифициране за Февруарските Сръчнотийки.



And to make it nicely for the Fan February, I made my start on the Hogfather, and I love it
I started with the middle page so I'm woking on his sleeve now, but I'm out of some reds.

Those project haven't moved on since Sunday. The beginning of the week was so busy busy, and yesterday I had time, but I received my order including the beading kits! I made my mind about which two projects will fill the places in my wipocalypse list after I finished the Why is it and the Tree of Stitches - reading your comments when I asked about your opinion it seems (or at least this is what I wanted to see, lol!) that The Doctor was a choice for sure, and a beading project out of curiosity. I'm choosing the Fairy, since she has less colours. I started it yesterday, that's why I couldn't post ^^. The work on her is very easy and pleasent, I plan to work a little more on her today and show you a wip this weekend. And then - on the biscornu!

Другият проект е Дядо Прас. Тъй като Февруари е Фенски, по тази линия освен с Хари Потър съм и с Пратчет. Почнах го от средата, така че в момента работя ръкава.

И бискорнюто обаче, и Дядо Прас не са напреднали след уикенда, защото началото на седмицата беше твърде заето, а вчера си взех мънистените нещица. В крайна сметка по въпроса кои ще заемат освободените то Why is it? и Дървото места в Уипокалипс списъка, се спрях на Доктора и Аметист феята. Нея даже я почнах вчера, вече им хващам цаката на мънистата и всичко се очертава много приятно и забавно :D Смятам днеска да поработя още малко върху нея, евентуално да ви я покажа уикенда. А после - бискорнюто!


And now for the TUSAL. This time you're getting to see my Uni city TUSAL jar, up till now only the Home TUSAL jar was getting affection. Not too much to see, as most of the stitching this month was during the vacation at home. You can notice the huge number of DMC papers as I was winding the bobbins for my Hogfather
It's not a glass jar, but rather a can from Snickers special edition so I'm taking theshot like this.

So I'll be leaving you now in order to get back to my fairy! Have a nice weekend!

И последно остана ТУСАЛ. Бурканчето с кончетата, което този път не е бурканче, а по-скоро тенекийка от някаква специална серия на сникърс. А и кончетата са малцинство, повече се набиват на очи хартийките от DMCто за Дядо Прас. Това всъщност е Варненския Тусал, който за пръв път показвам. Предните Тусал снимки все са били на Домашното Бургаско бурканче, но този път датата излзе така. Пък и крайно време беше и този да получи малко внимание.

Сега ви оставям, за да се върна обратно към феята, и ви желая на всички приятeн уикенд М№

January IHSW and TUSAL

I already had the chance to check the blogs of some the participants, and it seems that the weekend was quite productive for everyone, including me, even if my plans got little messed up. I worked on and finished a doctor mouse for a card requested from my mom. But less talking, more pictures!

I don't like taking pictures (or having pictures taken of me on that matter). No matter what a try, it won't look good. If it was on me, everything would be scanned. But some things just don't fit, like the TUSAL jar for example

This is the same jar I used for my first TUSAL in 2010. This is the best shot I was able to take today, because of glass reflections and the butterfliy stickers.
I think this is all for now! I don't know what I will work on this evening, but it will be while watching The Swan Princess. By the way, I watched Ratatouille while working on the mouse doctor, it seemes appropriate :)

Предния пост казах, че този уикенд ще работя върху мишка за картичката, който чайка ми поръча. Успях да я завърша до неделя вечерта и днес оформих самата картичка. От резултата съм много доволна, макар че има какво още да се желае, особено относно фотографските умения. Ако зависеше от мен, всичко щеше да отива в скенера. За съжаение някои неща просто не се побират, като например ТУСАЛ буркана.
ТУСАЛ е съкращението за едно начинание, в което участвах през 2010 и за тази година отново се записах. Идеята е да събираш всичките си отпадъчни кончета през месеца и да предоставяш снимково доказателство за това.
Ии май това е за днес. Не знам върху какво ще работя вечерта, но със сигурност ще е докато гледам "Принцесата лебед". А мишката ших, докато гледах Рататуи, просто ми се стори много уместно :)

It's been some time... Tusal+answer+snowman

It's been some time since I last posted, and I really didn't planned it to be so! So better go straight on the points
TUSAL! THe pots of fluff are growing and mine does too, even if I don't have that much stitching time. But the end of the year can already be seen and I already have thevision of myself making more I'm-so-cheap bookmarks out of the fluff
Lately the camera tends to darken the photos and I don't know why. Sometimes it does, sometimes not, it's all on a whim XP

И отново мина доста повече време от предвиденото между този пост и последния. Така че направо по темите!
Отново дойде времето за ТУСАЛ-а! Бурканчетата с кончета се пълнят, моето също, макар и с нетолкова бързи темпове, поради липсата на време. Краят на годината вече се вижда и аз също така се виждам да правя още книгоразделители от типа I'm-so-cheap от кончетата.

Напоследък фотоапарата от време на време решава да потъмни снимките, така че се извинявам за недоброто качество на снимката (така е след редактирането и през програма)

Книга - Сестра Пелагия и червеният петел
Един лъжепророк е брутално убит. ПО слечайност на същия кораб се оказва и сестра Пелагия, която току що си е обещала да не се изкушава да участва повече в криминални разследвания и да се държи както приляга на монахиня. Но предложението, отправено и да вземе участие в разследването се оказва твърде привлекателно. На сестра Пелагия се пада да разкрие тайните не само на убийството но и на червения петел, който се оказва повече от само птица...

И последната точка от плана е - още една междинна снимчица на снежния човек. Той всъщност вече сие съвсем готов, почти, само ръце му липсват, ло затова пък си има морков. При първа възможност този факт ще бъде удостоверен със снимка!

I never forget, I just postpone

Isn't it a TUSAL time?

Well.. isn't today the New Moon? Says so my Terry Pratchett calendar but sometimes I'm not sure if the dates and the holidays are for our world or the Discworld. It has the Hogswatch date in any case.
Anyway here's my TUSAL jar for this month:
Along with the Kool Kat!!! I'm so happy with how it turned! It has a reserved place on the wall already, right under the light switch, but right for now I keep it with me XD
As for the jar, it has now silver and gold threads from the knot along with bits of leftover black fabric again from it, the leftovers from the cat, and very small amounts of leftover from the Spring, because I'm able to use the thread to the last cm basically.Oh, and the dead needles, too.
Btw I noticed that the Dragon my needle blog where the whole TUSAL idea came from, hasn't been active lately. Someone knows why? I hope nothing bad happened! :/

Тери Пратчет календара ми твърди, че на 10 е новолунието, което би значело, че е време да се покажат бурканчетата с крафтърски огризки за TUSAL-а. Но понякога е трудно да се разбере за кой свят се отнася календара, нашия, или света на Диска. Отбелязана е нощта на Прасоколедата във всеки случай.
И също така за всеки случай, ето го и моето Абсолютно Непотребно бурканче, заедно с котака, за който съобщих вчера. Много ми харесва как стана комплектчето с рамчицата и всичко. Вече си има резервирано място точно под ключа за лампата, но засега си го държа наблизо да мога да му се радвам ;P
Иначе нови попълнения за буркана за сребърни и златни кончета от келтския възел + остатъциот черната аида, каквото остана от котака и съвсем малко остатъци от конци от Пролетта - просто защото някакси успявам много пестеливо да я шия. А също така и злополучните ръждясали игли.
Между другото блогът от който започна цялата иницитива е неактивен от известно време, надявам се не заради нещо лошо...

I took my sister with me, because she wanted to go and buy herself copic markers and she wanted me to show her the shop. And.. it's not like I left the shop without buying anything for myself, either.



The last set of stickers are Rub-ons and are present from the shop :P I love the panda-cream! There's a cat-cake somewhere above too. The nurse bunny is love too. There were two of them, now one is on the cover of the folder with my organic chemistry themes.

Those are form the Armstrong Centre. I've been to this place before, but actually didn't know they had some of this stuff. This is because the shop is divided and the funny part is hidden away! Good thing I found out!


This is from the sewing shop. From the moment I saw this in the latest issue of the magazine, I knew I had to have it. I love this design and CAN"T WAIT to be able to stitch it. So tempting... (sob sob sob)

In the shop they didn't have pretty pins. That's why I made an order and just got an email that it should be in the post tomorrow afternoon. With all of this, you can say that I behaved very very badly. But my punishment is that I'm not allowed to touch all of this for more than month from now. Cruel... I'm putting all of this in a big cardboard box and waiting for all the madness to come to an end.
Talking about the madness, this is what is filling my time lately:

Actally this is the chemistry and those days I've been studying more biology. No good, I'm behind >.<"""" And as I journal-ed in DA, I got my diplome. Apart from the slightly annoying average grade of 5.94 of 6.00 (not fair - 5 years I've been getting 6.00 on 18 subjects and just because of the matura... grr however, lol)Apart, I'm very happy about it - and it's so blue and pretty ^^ The other sheet is certificate for excelent results. The diplome has an extra sheet for the personal characterization - lol, we had loads of fun reading what the teachers had written about all the points - preserving the nature, team work etc. ;D

P.S. I got the stuff I ordered from BGArts
I stubled by chance on this site and fell in looove with the ribbons - and the pins. A month ago I went from one sewing shop to another to find some pretty pins for embelishment, but alas. Those were perfect ]:D



I'm so seeing some of this stuff on a biscornu. One of the pins seems crooked, but no big deal, I think I can fix it.
This was actually my very first time ordering stuff from the Internet - but as I said, I fell in love and couldn't miss the chance. the delivery and everything from the site was super fast :D I think I can get hooked to this - lol!
