weight loss progress week 8

The scale can't lie. I weighed myself yesterday morning and I am now at a 13. 4 pounds loss. I am 5.3 at 134.6 pounds.

I exercised 4 to 5 hours a week theses past 4 weeks. The first 2 weeks I didn't go boxing because my baby was sick and husband was out of town. Then I just took some time to walk.
This week I went boxing for 2 hours. Run for 1 hour and did my first leg day with 20 pounds weights. This is new with my routine as I was only walking. I am obviously getting stronger. I want to start doing more weights and build more muscles.
I have been eating between 1200 to 1400 calories per day. Clean eating = Healthy
This time I lost less than the first 4 weeks but I am still happy about the results.
I can tell my body has changed a lot and my muscles are starting to show up. 
I was at the store yesterday and can now fit in Small size clothes. I used to be a Large. My feet are also smaller in my shoes.
I am liking my new fit life and get ornery on the days I can't go walk. I think I just changed my life and habits.

I have few more pounds to loose but not that much. I have 4 more weeks to go until I stabilize my calories intake but the working out will stay because I do not want to be skinny. I want to be FIT.

My Title boxing club in Utah experience



This new boxing club just opened: it's Title boxing club in Cottonwood Heights, Utah
This is the first boxing club in Utah. 
I always wanted to try boxing. It is a little intimidating I have to say but I have decided to try new things this year on and get my body back after baby. 
It really kicked my butt. I am so out of shape and this was neat. I have never had a work out so fun where I really gave my best and saw the results right away. My biceps were swollen and legs too. I was so impressed. Boxing is a full body work out and my back, legs, abs were sore the next day. I had no pain the next day even though my knees and neck are sensitive.
Only my muscles were sore.
The music was perfect for the work out and the ambiance was motivating.

Few things you may wondering:

Do I have to fight people?
No you don't. it is a class so there is no ring. Just lots of punching bags and people having fun.

Is it hard? I am out of shape.
You go at your own pace, the moves and exercises are simple. You will get stronger each time and do more and better. 

Will I hurt my knuckles?
No, I punched pretty hard the whole time and my hands were intact. You wear a "bandage" like in my picture above in pink and then the boxing gloves on top.

How many calories can you burn?
Between 100 to 1000.

Getting my body back after baby

I have been sporting my favorite hat, i have more than 10 pounds to loose. Last week i finely zipped my jeans. I will not need this anymore.
My plan of attack is to be running but right now i can only walk. I am rusted and also need some care from my chiropractor.
I have been using the Nike App on my iphone and i like it. I need something very simple, the other Apps were more detailed and made me nervous. I am too busy already and spending too much time entering my calories, bla bla bla. Too much.
Also i want to start a reward goal. I will put in my piggy bank one dollar for every 20 minute work out.
Maybe i will get to shop here or here. Have you entered here?
So far this week. 7 miles!

This is the only shadow of me i like right now. 

I am enjoying being outside, by myself, in the fresh air.

Right now, i am exhausted. If i could get 8 hours straight at night of sleep maybe this would motivate me...I'll do 10 minutes and take a nap. LOL
I'll keep this on my fridge so i don't forget. I have short term memory when it comes to work out. LOL.

Olive Garden restaurant and i am getting fat



Hubby chose the Smoked Mozzarella Fondue, Oh so good!!!
I had the Chicken & Gnocchi soup and bread sticks, so good for my poor tummy!
Hubby had the Eggplant Parmigiana. His favorite!

So i saw my Doctor and find out, i gained 8 pounds this month! He said...Don't do that every month...

I was kind of mad, because i have not been eating candy bars like i use to..and i gained weight on not really yummy foods...It's not like i eat out and eat at yummy restaurants!!!
I always say...If i have to gain weight, i will do it eating yummy stuff!
 Darn...I guess being stuck in the house and not moving so much will do it.

My last pregnancy, i gained 60 pounds. I was eating at Arby's almost everyday.
I wasn't sick the whole pregnancy!
I told myself i would not do that again...oh so not healthy!
And i haven't! No fast food!
So now for a total of 13 pounds gain so far.
Man, it's hard to be pregnant! Almost 6 months.

Those mirrors are driving me nuts!

I might have gained few pounds....Hmmmm maybe a lot ... with all the stress but....The bathroom mirrors in the new house are very bad. Not only they are too big and low but you can also see yourself in the shower. Heeeeeek!
I think i was in denial or maybe i gained few pounds (cough). I don't look good. I even look 6 months pregnant and i am not!
I think my body image is different than reality....
What i see in the mirror is not how i see myself....Do you surprise yourself thinking the same way?

The good news is that i can do something about it....Going on my treadmill for 30 minutes a day...Nothing is stopping me this time...I really need to put myself first...

Got my papers back for my Naturalization. My appointment is on July 26th. Hopefully i won't miss that one! LOL
Hope you guys are enjoying your summer.
I just find my glue gun!!! YAY. LOL. Craft coming up...Unpacking can wait. LOL.

DIET...DIET


This is a Mango salad to eat with fish...Tomatoes, mango, red onion....



Hubby is on a Diet...I don't know who it is the hardest for....Him, trying not to cheat, LOL.
Or me, cooking lots of veggies and salads for 2 hours a day. He is doing a Diet with exercising every day and healthy meals...Counting his calories....Hmmm I count his calories...

I am so grateful for my Mom, in France we don't have fast food, frozen food like here. You also take the bus to go get groceries.....We have the fresh market once a week..HAAA She cooked great healthy meals everyday...And it took a lot of work to get everything without a car.

Are you on a Diet.... What is the hardest for you?
For me it would be to find the strength to cook and not jump in the car to go get something....Like last night and my burger...Hmmmm. LOL. Thank you for your support Yesterday...Means so much to me :)

One month without meat ?

Yes, this is a guacamole burger...but, i only had 7 burgers in the last 2 years. In France, fast food is a luxury, actually expensive....Then you have to take the bus to go get it HAHAHA. Yep doesn't happen...often :)
Anyways...

My husband had guys from the factory in Taiwan for Amber Alert GPS fly here. They were talking about this new diet book made in China.
They had a search about health and eating with millions of Chinese....the result...poor people live longer and have less health problems.
The cause...Meat. Poor people don't eat meat so live longer and have less health problems and ...are leaner?

I know that it takes 3 days for our body to digest meat, so not good if i am trying to loose weight and calories.
So here was my experiment. No meat for 30 days.


That is a hard one.


I can cook, thankfully, my Mother is a great French chef and passed it down.



So here is what i noticed. I did not crave meat, i ate more sugar than i would like, I find it hard to find vegetarian recipe for everyday though but not impossible.
Hubby lost 20 pounds!!!!??
Me none????? I think it was the sugar....
I felt lighter and healthier... Easy digestion.


I have been eating less meat since and i think it is good.
I believe that meat should be consumed sparingly anyways.


Here is the deal also. I am a city girl...if i had to kill my food, i would be in trouble. LOL.
I could not kill and eat my chickens. 
I have a friend who is Vegan, her name is Britta, she started because of her high cholesterol (she is very young). Her diet is working.
So yeah, there is no secret...food is very important in health and eat meat sparingly.
