Soviet 3mm aircraft for air combat games

Hi everyone!

Well I did some painting over the last few days. I set a goal of painting up some Soviet aircraft that I will use in some games of CY-6 and Bag the Hun.  I have played CY-6 for a long time and I like the rules but I have been asked if I have played Bag the Hun since I now live on this side of the Atlantic. I have not played Bag the Hun so I have picked up a the rules and I will run a few games at the club to see how they play.

Here are some SB-2 bombers and some I-16 fighters in 3mm scale painted for the Winter War.

Have a good week!

WW2 3mm Tanks for Spearhead!

Hi everyone.

I am currently reading a new set of rules they are Spearhead. They will allow me to play large scale battles when I am in the mood for some big battles.

Some Soviet KV-1 tanks

These tanks painted up really good

I have painted up some tanks to get me started. The rules are made for 6mm miniatures to be based on a 1 1/4 inch base so I decided to put three tanks on the same size base but in 3mm scale. I hope they will look good on the battlefield.

Some light Soviet tanks.

T-26 light tanks

The best Soviet designed tank of WW2 the T-34

Hopefully they fight as good as the look

I have been pretty busy with work but I am still taking time to paint. I have more 3mm Napoleonic ready to paint up but first I will take a little vacation to Cyprus to get some sun and relax for a week.

Some Tigers and Pz III to play with

Tigers!!

Take care and have a good Easter.

Painting and rebasing 15mm WW2 miniatures

Hi everyone,

Sorry for not posting more often but I have been pretty busy with a number of different projects and activities.

Today I will show you a recent purchase from a member of my wargaming club. It was a great buy as I received two boxes of terrain as well as Italian and Finnish miniatures painted up as Swedish to add to my one squad of Swedish infantry I painted up. I also got some more Swedish vehicles and tanks.

Here is the terrain:

Here are the Swedish items I recieved before rebasing:

Also included in the deal was a whole bunch of Soviet infantry and Tanks.  The only thing I am doing with all this is rebasing and giving them a quick brushing with some dull coat.

Here are the Soviets:

So here are the Swedish Infantry that I have painted and the ones that I purchased. In all I now have just under a Platoons worth of Infantry. I just need to paint up two LMG's and the Platoon leader base and I will be done with the Swedish.

I also got some 15mm miniatures and a cool ass E-75 tank from HEER 46.  The tank looks awesome. I will do a separate post once I start working on the tank.

Enjoy.

Painting World War 2 this past week.

Hi everyone!

I have been busy painting up a bunch of different WW2 scales and miniature. So I will try to detail what I have done.

First up are Some 3mm WW2 aircraft, two are Swedish J8 fighter aircraft and the other is a German He-111 bomber. These are for a what if scenario set in Sweden in 1940. More on that in the near future.

The planes came out well and they mix well with the existing 3mm aircraft I have for WW2

Next up are some 15mm Swedish tanks from WW2.  I painted up two Stvr.38 tanks, they are light tanks from the early war period and they were fun to paint up. I painted them in the 1939 colors as the scenarios I plan to run will take place in 1940.  I also have some 15mm infantry that will be painted up soon that will represent the Swedish Infantry from the same time. This way I can play CoC and WaT with these newt additions to my miniature collection.

Last but not least are some Soviets BA-64b armored cars that I am painted for my 15mm Soviet Army. These can be used for a number of different game systems.

Well I hope you all had a good weekend and you will have a good week.  Thanks for stopping by and checking out my blog!
