Unboxing the 2022 Sakura Hatsune Miku noodlestopper

 More sakura goodness unboxing, as the FuRyu 2022 noodlestopper of miss Hatsune Miku in sakura attire arrived.

While sceptical though on how she looked on the box...

So, let's open her up and see if her face really is as derpy...

Now, for the balancing issues, it turned out later the hair can be pushed a bit backward, and then she keeps sitting upright without any problem!

 The period of the blooming cherry blossom trees is upon us, and what better way to celebrate then unboxing a sakura edition of Hatsune Miku.

The model, made by Taito, was won over at TokyoCatch in february, and arrived this month.

So, with spring slowly coming in the air overhere, let's unbox this figure!

A truly "happy" addition to the collection, miss Miku puts a smile to your face in this pink edition.

 Okay, so I`m not that big a fan of noodlestopper figures, but when this Miku showed up on the various online crane game apps that I frequent, I just had to try and catch her.

And after a few days of trying, I got her through TokyoCatch.  Shipping and import costs later, and she is ready to be unboxed!

Because she looks really awesome as a villainess, with the eyes, wings and dragon tail, this was something that just appealed to me from the moment I saw her appearing.  the evil yet kawaii vibe she gives off is immens, and to that end I gladly displayed her.

Now, will I manage to catch more figures this year?  The look in her eyes at least compel's me to do so for sure!

I caved in... please don't judge me

 For years of watching anime, I always wondered about the "what is all that vocaloid craze about" and never actually took a look at it.

Until a week or two ago, when I stumbled upon a Magical Mirai concert from 2016, strolling through YouTube.

I bit the bullet, and decided to listen / watch it... and was reeled in as if enchanted by the Mad Hatter.  It actually has some darn good songs ( I LOVE Ghost Rule).  Hatsune Miku actually looks like a genuine popstar on the stage and yeah...

... I bought a Hatsune Miku for my collection as a result.  At only 35 euro over at Akiba.be here in Antwerp, that was a great value for a so-called Sega price figure.  Sure, online in Japan I can get them around 20, but then 20 more gets added for shipping, and if unlucky if it gets hold by Customs, it can quickly total towards the 70+ euro range.  So for that size and price range of figures, I decided not to take the risk.

So here it is, my unboxing of the Hatsune Miku figure.  Coming from the Supreme Premium Figure or SPM line, the Pierretta:

 

 

Now, if only I can find the Ghost version still somewhere...
