Frequently asked questions about Kerbal Space Program 2 servers

Everything you need to know before joining a server

No. In 2026, Kerbal Space Program 2 remains a strictly single-player game. The multiplayer mode, announced during early access, was never delivered. There are therefore no official or community servers for KSP2, since the game offers no online feature that lets you play with others.

Development has stopped. Studio Intercept Games was shut down by Take-Two in 2024, and the last update dates back to June 2024. In late 2024, Take-Two sold Private Division and the Kerbal Space Program licence to Haveli Investments, but no resumption of KSP2's development has been announced: in 2026, the game remains in early access, with no active team.

According to the developers' announcements, multiplayer was meant to let players team up on shared missions, share vessels and organise real space races, both cooperatively and competitively. Planned for the last stage of the roadmap, it never got past the promise stage.

Multiplayer sat at the very end of the early access roadmap, after colonies and interstellar travel. Since development was halted by Intercept Games' closure in 2024, this content was never finished. The online mode therefore never reached players.

Yes, but not on KSP2. The original game, Kerbal Space Program, has community-made multiplayer mods, such as Dark Multi Player or Luna Multiplayer. They let you host shared sessions with friends. That remains the only reliable way to enjoy an online Kerbal experience today.
