Take the October 2024 warnings seriously .

I have been with Octopus variable tarriff for several years and found it too be very much in line or cheaper than their nearest rivals.
For Easy of switching via online app just 2 clicks and I am now on their fixed rate for 15 months. Due to uncertainty in the market from October this year (2024)
The rate shown is less than 10% increase predicted by Martin Lewis and Cornwall predictions.

Excellent customer service.

I recently contacted octopus via email for support in changing my direct debit date as I had made a mistake when trying to do this myself online. I was worried 2 payments would be taken in the same month due to my error. I received a swift reply from Briony who rectified and resolved the date with no fuss, which set my mind at ease. Excellent customer service. I wish more companies could be this responsive. Beat decision to switch to Octopus over 3 years ago. I won’t be moving to any other gas/electric company, they all pale into insignificance next to Octopus.

I had details come through today about…

I had details come through today about the new energy prices & what I would be paying. I rang Octopus & spoke to Elliot who was so helpful & explained everything to me. He answered all my queries. He gave me very good advice & with that I decided to change tarrif. I couldn't have had anyone better to advise me he was just the very best. Instead of worrying about my bills I will now actually be saving.

THE best.

I’ve been with most energy companies (bit of a switcher) but I can honestly say Octopus are THE best. Their customer service is second to none. I’d like to thank in particular Aaron D. for answering my email so promptly (yes they actually reply to you). He sorted out my query regarding loss of winter fuel payment and I couldn’t be happier with the result. I certainly won’t be switching again any time soon. Thanks so much Octopus!

Great customer advice - calm and collected

The adviser who took my call was knowledgeable, well trained and helpful. Natalie was also patient and clear with her advice. She resolved a multi-faceted query very simply, and treated me with consideration. Thank you Natalie, great work and a good representative for your company.

Telephone experience on tariff changeover

After a lengthy wait I eventually spoke to Matt who was very helpful and explained in detail all the questions I put forward.
The service and understanding given by him was top class and I was satisfied with the response.
I have been with Octopus for many years and have often recommended you to friends and family.

Problems solved efficiently

Had a few problems with smart meter not reading after signing up. The UK based assistant said he would sort and he did within a few hours - even called me back to see if everything was ok.

They even sent a new Octopus smart hub so that i could read my usage via their app. which is great!

A highly recommended supplier which I am saving money over my previous as on their "Tracker" tariff.

If anyone wants great customer service and great deals then swap to Octopus! I have been with loads of suppliers over the years - but these are far the best - which is a rare commodity these days!!!

Octopus is a Company I Trust

I have been with Octopus Energy a few years now, and with honesty, I can say they have been the most supportive.
Also I believe they do provide honest guidance.
Pricewise, they have my belief that the tariff I chose is best for my usage.
It is reassuring my long-term health problems and age, are registered with Octopus.
A Company to trust.

Simply The Best.

I've been with Octopus for about 3 years now and I have to genuinely say it is the best company I have EVER dealt with and feel very fortunate to have them as my energy provider. I just can't fault them and their prices are one of if not the most competitive. You may have heard the radio ads and I can assure anyone I agree with everything that is said in them. I emailed them earlier today to adjust my monthly payments and got a response confirming the adjustment in no less than 5 minutes from Octopus'Nicola D. Thanks Nicola and thanks as always Octopus. I couldn't recommend them more highly as I have to everyone I know. May you thrive with success Octopus, you're doing great 😃👍

New customer

I'm a new customer and still getting to grips with a few things. Phoned up this afternoon and not waiting hours to speak with someone. Spoke with Femi who was very patient with me and happy to go through things steadily and waited until I was sorted before ending the call.

Customer service is unreliable and…

Customer service is unreliable and unresponsive. I found it exhausting just to get someone's attention. Emails go unanswered. Phone messages to staff are not passed on. Lessons are not learned. Apologies are insincere and not followed up with action. My issue began in April and was not resolved until September 2024. Despite an apology and resolve to do better, they took two weeks to refund my money. When I told them I was leaving they ignored me again. They installed a smart meter which is dumb and failed to register it. Customer service obviously has limited capacity and is uncoordinated. They knew that I am a vulnerable customer and still failed me repeatedly. I received a disrespectful email after a week's wait telling me not to send so many emails! Simply unacceptable!

Generally like Octopus and having the…

Generally like Octopus and having the access online through their app. However, when we signed up a year ago we requested a new interface as the previous tenant had removed it. We received one a few months later after chasing several times but it never worked. We have chased and chased and gotten nowhere. A year later we still have no interface. They keep telling us one will be on its way but it quite obviously isn't. They keep telling us to just check our usage online but it does not show usage in real time, it's a day or two delayed which doesn't help. So Octopus could be better and stop fobbing us off. Also, the standing charges are becoming a bit of a joke. We're low energy users but get screwed by the standing charges.

This is the only company where the team have always been supportive to me. I recommend octopus energy to anyone who is thinking of changing companies. They are easy to talk to and easy to contact, taking the stress out of any concerns. Thankyou.

Excellent service

My call was answered fairly promptly by a nicely spoken man who listened to my queries and was able to answer my questions efficiently and politely. The changes that I requested were completed while I was still on the phone and I received a confirmation email immediately.
