Digimon Adventure 02[edit]
Envisioning it as the perfect partner to serve him, the Digimon Kaiser created Chimairamon in the summer of 2002 from data that he sampled from many other Digimon (Greymon's torso; Kabuterimon's head; Metal Greymon's hair; Garurumon's legs; Angemon and Airdramon's wings; Monochromon's tail; and Kuwagamon, Skull Greymon and Devimon's arms). He sampled Devimon's data from its remains found within a dark whirlpool, but as he took the sample, Devimon warned the Kaiser against attempting to control its power of darkness.[2]
Shortly thereafter, the Kaiser completed work on Chimairamon and launched it against the Chosen Children as they attempted to infiltrate his base. It easily overpowered the Chosen Children and forced them to retreat.[2]
The Kaiser then sent Chimairamon on a rampage, targeting towns around the Digital World. Meanwhile, the effects of Devimon's power began to have an adverse effect on the Kaiser. When the Chosen Children infiltrated the Kaiser's base again, the Kaiser summoned Chimairamon to confront them. Although it quickly defeated the entire group, Chimairamon ceased to obey the Kaiser due to Devimon's influence, abandoned the fight with the Chosen Children, and fled the base.[3]
Upon V-mon's Armor Evolvution into Magnamon, Chimairamon broke back into the Kaiser's base to attack Magnamon. The ensuing battle between the two rapidly depleted Magnamon's power as its attacks still failed to do any significant damage to Chimairamon. However, Wormmon sacrificed himself to empower Magnamon, enabling him to obliterate Chimairamon in a single powered-up Extreme Jihad blast.[4]
The destruction of Chimairamon marked the final defeat of the Digimon Kaiser. His reckoning with the consequences of his actions on the lives of others, including Wormmon, caused Ichijouji Ken to abandon the Kaiser persona.[4]
