After the final fight against Kazama Shoto, both halves of Ex Maquinamon (Metatromon and Dalphomon) reverted into separate Flickmon (Tool). In "CROSS CHRONICLE", both watched Yuuki befriend Quartzmon and, with that, save Cross Connectia. While the Flickmon that was formerly Metatromon questioned its counterpart for not interfering, the formerly-Dalphomon explained it was better if they didn't interfere as they were beings that warped the world simply by existing, much like Quartzmon, then apologised to its other self for rejecting it on instinct. They both then thanked each other and vowed to remain together across the two worlds.
