Digimon Beatbreak[edit]
The Glowing Dawn found Funbeemon and Minezaki through Chiropmon at the beginning of "The Beat of Emotion". Sakuya Reina and Wolvermon immediately confronted them, with the latter shooting at them with her Rapid Burst, though all shots missed. Funbeemon managed to get out of Wolvermon's sight thanks to the dust cloud her own attack formed, then hit her from above with its Gear Stinger, powered up through Minezaki's e-Pulse enough to make Wolvermon crash into the ground. Due to that, Reina decided to go with plan B alongside Kuonji Makoto. Both Digimon kept shooting at each other and missing, then, as Minezaki ordered Funbeemon to make a beehive out of Wolvermon, Makoto had Chiropmon attack Minezaki from behind with his Paralyze Echo. This distracted Funbeemon, letting Wolvermon hit it with a double axe handle and send it crashing into the ground.
Wolvermon aimed one of her cannons at the downed Funbeemon. At the same time, Reina and Makoto surrounded Minezaki, who dropped his stolen watches. Reina called Minezaki out by name, pointed out his crime of stealing from the watch store and told him they couldn't escape anymore. Unfazed, Minezaki asked them how long they had been Cleaners. Reina wondered why that mattered but, for Minezaki, it mattered a lot. He took out a smoke bomb from his pocket and threw it at the ground, blinding the Glowing Dawn and distracting Wolvermon, letting Funbeemon break free with a kick Wolvermon blocked but was nonetheless pushed back. Funbeemon then spat out Minezaki's Sapotama and shot it at him, who caught it in mid-air. Claiming he'd show the Glowing Dawn what happens when novices pick a fight with a pro, Minezaki charged his Sapotama with his e-Pulse then threw it to the sky, where Funbeemon ate it to evolve into Waspmon, which Makoto recognized as a high-mobility Adult Digimon. Waspmon shot several Turbo Stingers at the human duo. Most of them missed, but one would've hit Reina had Wolvermon not pushed her out of the way and gotten hit instead. Waspmon moved quickly through the air as Minezaki told the Glowing Dawn not to beg for their lives and to accept their fate while Waspmon charged another strike. Someone unseen then returned the line to Minezaki. Murasamemon entered their space through a tear he himself cut open, then bisected Waspmon in a single cut, causing it to revert to Pupumon and separate from Minezaki's Sapotama. The unseen voice, Sawashiro Kyo, then picked up Pupumon.
Minezaki recognized Kyo. Murasamemon, who was carrying Minezaki's Sapotama, told him he was famous, though Kyo didn't agree as he handed him Pupumon. That done, Kyo angrily turned at Minezaki for hurting his family, though Minezaki blamed Waspmon instead. This only angered Kyo further who was to bring Minezaki to the Ministry of Civil Protection. Minezaki fell to his knees in fear, though Kyo was unfazed by this.
Pupumon was one of the Digimon Kyo took care of seen in "Nirinso".
