Souda Raito was one of the main antagonists of the Tactics Arc in Digimon Beatbreak prior to his reformation. He's a Cleaner and a member of Tactics under his self-proclaimed leadership of Team 7.
Profile[edit]
Member of Tactics Team Seven. A naturally gifted genius who can do anything after seeing it just once.
Likes: boardgames, collecting bandanas.
Dislikes: natto.
Personality[edit]
Initially, Raito seems to be arrogant and confident, but this is merely a mask for his comparatively poor skills as a Digimon Tamer in spite of his book smarts, which he is very insecure over.
He is impressed with the power of Perfect stage Digimon like Murasamemon and Gigasmon.
Raito considers Tomoro as a rival.

Digimon Beatbreak[edit]
Despite being a natural genius who excels at academics and all sorts of recreational and competitive activities such as chess and soccer, Raito is (by comparison to the rest of his personal achievements), not a particularly good Digimon Tamer, and his control over his Digimon is significantly worse than Tenma Tomoro's. Some time ago, Seraphy Naito defeated him in a battle and recruited him into Tactics. He belongs to the elite Team 7 cell as its group leader, and thus directly answers to Naito and Klay. Team 7 is entrusted in hunting down Klay's quarry and safeguarding his illegal businesses, and all of its members are touted to have perfect control over their emotions so they could control their Digimon better (and presumably so they will carry out illegal operations for Klay without question and unbothered by the harm that they would cause to innocents).
In "Tactics", the titular Team 7 was sent by Klay to capture the perfect form of a Snimon that went into a rampage. This meant that they had to wait for it to drain the e-pulse of an innocent before they go in to capture the Digimon. To this mean, Raito lures the Snimon to a nearby park where it would drain the e-pulse of a child (Hotaruko advised against him from endangering children, but Raito turned her request down). Glowing Dawn arrived first and Tomoro fought the Snimon briefly in order to save the Child, but it evolved into a Scorpiomon mid-fight and Tactics appeared to claim the quarry. Initially Tactics had the upper hand and they managed to subdue and capture the Scorpiomon, but this changed when Raito became distracted by Kyo and Naito's duel and wasted time arguing with Tomoro, allowing the latter a window to destroy the Scorpiomon and revert it back to a Bubbmon. Seeing that he made Klay lose valuable quarry, Naito punched him for insubordination.
In "Black Market Auction", all of Team 7 was responsible for safeguarding Klay's illegal slave auction, but it was accidentally sacked by Glowing Dawn who was initially only there to investigate. There, he fought Tomoro and is the first member of Tactics with a partner that achieves the Perfect stage during that fight, with his Monodramon becoming an Azhdarmon, although he is unable to control Azhdarmon effectively and destroyed Ikuhara Yume's Tinkermon on accident, costing Klay valuable merchandise. Naito then brutally beat him for insubordination and kicked him out of Tactics, while throwing him into Klay's colosseum where he was fed false hopes that he could win and rejoin. In actuality, Klay and Naito had no intent of letting Raito back and he was expected to be Cold Hearted regardless. There, Raito managed to win seven matches in a row.
With Klay and Naito's approval, he fought Tomoro again (who was thrown there by Genjo) in a vain hope to be recognized as a genius by Naito. Tomoro noticed that the losers of the colosseum are being Cold Hearted and sealed in coffins and told him about it. Despite being shocked by the sinister revelation, Raito continues to fight and evolve his Rhamphomon into Azhdarmon again to continue fighting Gekkomon to make himself feel good. Despite his best efforts, his perfect Digimon was outmaneuvered and defeated by Arma Lizamon, reverting his Monodramon into Ketomon. Raito was then captured to be Cold Hearted.
Before he can be Cold Hearted however, Golden Dawn sacks the Colosseum having been received intel from Shinomiya Hitomi, and the rest of Tactics Team 7 arrived to fight Golden Dawn. Naito ordered Kanuma Hotaruko to assassinate Raito, but she secretly spared him and only confirmed to him that Naito had no intent to allow him back and his victories were all for nothing. Tomoro and Makoto then arrived to the coffin room only to be attacked by Proganomon to attack them from below. The rest of Team 7 escaped, but Raito went temporarily missing.

Trivia[edit]
- Raito's family name means "right", and his given name could mean "right" or "light", both of which are references to him being a naturally gifted genius.
- As the rest of Team 7, Raito is named after a mineral. In his case, "Souda Raito" sounds identical to "sodalite" (ソーダライト, soudaraito).
- During evolution stock footage in Digimon Beatbreak, the Owner says some short lines. Raito's lines while evolving Monodramon are:
- Adult (Rhamphomon): "Watch a genius in action!"
