“It’s the mafia.” His simple clipped answer as if it made everything better like a Band-Aid you put on a mortal wound and wonder why the person’s still bleeding out.
“Love feels like something inside of you is breaking at least ninety percent of the time, and the only ointment is usually the person that’s doing the breaking”
Hell, I was her demon. And now I was wiping her tears and holding her close. I was no saint. I was the darkness that chased her. I was what haunted her dreams, I was her nightmare, and yet she held me like I was the knight that had ridden in on my white horse—she was right about one thing— the horse was white, but the knight was no servant to the king —he was fallen , and she’d singlehandedly resurrected him, not realizing something was very wrong.

❥ Personality: Breaker has been the fun, go with the flow, & cracking jokes to lighten the mood one of the group which reminds me a lot of how Tex acted around the other guys.
❥ Their romantic relationships: Tex had always had feelings for Mo since they were younger but due to his family line and being best friend's with her brother, he stayed away sleeping his way through other girls. BREAKER DID THE SAME THING as he was always in love with Violet since he was young but due to his family line & Ash (Violet's brother/Breaker's best friend), he stayed away and decided to be welp a man hoe. Only difference between these two was Breaker was also asked by Violet's dad to not start a relationship.
❥ Heavy is the head that wears the crown: Both know they are mafia royalty, Tex being the leader of the Costa Nostra and Breaker the head of the Petrov family. However, both did not want that crown and struggled to come to terms with the weight that it burdens on someone.
Forgive me—” I whispered into the cool night air “— for showing you the knight, when the whole time, I was the wolf. Forgive me, God. Forgive me. Amen.”
"One day,” I whispered, my accent thicker than usual. “I will have you, Violet Abandonato, and it will be my name you scream… not his.
