It is a science-fiction erotic story; the request was made on three photos, picturing the three main characters:
* Sin, a Dychiiop, a humanoid alien who can shift into many forms. * Rhys, a lion-shifter, member of an elite organization that rescues and protect shifters, aiming to bring down a psychopath, sadistic human, Von. * Von is a slave trafficker, who also harvests shifters and sells their bi-products as enhancers or aphrodisiacs.
An asteroid hits Sin’s ship, and he crash-lands on a foreign planet. Von finds him, abducts him, and makes experiments on him in order to find out how his shifting works. During the process, he develops possessive feelings for Sin.
Rhys is an undercover agent in Von’s laboratory, and immediately feels an irresistible pull for Sin. He tries to help him, to ease his pain during his torture and experimentation.
The story is interesting, but the writing style is very un-walker-y. In the first half, it’s too factual, the end is too poetic, pompous, filled with repetitions. The viewpoint is confused, jumping between the characters. The romance is a little bit rushed: I understand they are shifters, and there is bonding, and they just know that the other one is The One, but still.
There were many things I found unnecessary: for example, I could live without reading about Von's (view spoiler)[masturbation (hide spoiler)], or Sin and Rhys having (view spoiler)[sex in animal form (hide spoiler)]. Oh, and the name Sin was given to the main character by the antagonist, Von. Even after his (Sin's) rescue, return to his home planet, and living there for a while, the reader never finds out Sin’s real name. Why he keeps the name that was given to him by his sadistic torturer??
The way Sin had taken down Von was spectacular, though, and again, it was a very interesting storyline. Too bad the execution didn’t live up to it.

Vin signed up for a weeklong experiment in the 20th century, but something went wrong, and he woke up from deep freeze 500 years later.
Now, in the 26th century, he works in the porn industry. The story starts with Vin arriving to the scene of his new assignment. But his partner for this shoot is a huge, blue, horned Denoblian, Jali. Vin is not happy with the pairing, nor the act he has to perform. Of course, Jali convinces him otherwise.

Close Encounters is a fun, imaginative story, with interspecies (alien-human) sex, and the possibility of something more between Vin and Jali. ...more

Doctor Eugene Waters is leading an expedition to Mars in hope to find possibility for mankind to settle down there. But his spaceship is hijacked, and Waters finds himself on an alien space station, studied by a “sentient extraterrestrial”.
Casey – as he calls himself – is a scientist too, and he doesn’t mean any harm, just doing his job. The intentions of his race are not quite clear though, the world building is rough and ambiguous, the development of romance is off-page, but the sex is hot.
Seems like a ‘grasps all, if not loses all but holds on little’ story, but altogether a fun sexpedition. (Just couldn’t resist this little pun… :))
We were the same, and it took an alien abduction to find each other.

"...for some reason these two were getting to me. And one of them wasn’t even awake."
In Replicant, book 2 of The Kithran Regenesis series the reader gets more detailed information about the planet Kithra. It’s essential to understand the agonizing pain and grief of Jarana upon the loss of her home and family.
Featuring secondary characters here (not only the three main characters like in the first book Kithra) is another positive thing. I really enjoyed the common past they shared.
The story Jarana is a Tracker, hunting down Replicants (shape-shifting aliens) over galaxies. Her current prey is on her home planet, Kithra. It is very hard for her to return, since all of her family died due to the explosions on the planet years ago.
I should have died with my people. All I had now was the joy of the hunt.
Bombarded by pain, grief and all of her memories, she seeks some distraction. When she meets Erik, she feels an immediate lust for him. He feels the same, but he is engaged, so he rejects Jarana.
It soon comes to light that Erik’s fiancée, Maska, is the Replicant Jarana is looking for, and with the deep attraction for each other, things become very complicated for all of them.
The first half of the story is pretty slow, but from the revealing of Maska’s identity the events speed up. Actually speed up too much. Generally, I don’t like first person viewpoint, because usually it can’t give a complete impression of all the characters and the story. I really wanted to know what caused the change of Erik’s behavior and attitude toward Jarana besides caving in to sexual attraction. It is the same question in the case of Maska as well.
I loved the unique turn of the gender change of Maska, since I haven’t read the blurb before reading (it's in the blurb!!! but why??? it's huge!!), I was truly surprised. It gave a nice conflict to the relationship of Erik and Maska.
Characters Jarana. Though I really sympathized with her, I didn’t like her. In her attitude, way of thinking she seems to be tough, but actually she is pretty insecure. And I can’t see the point of leaving the planet and the two men of hers either. Okay, she was scared, but it was much more like running away from her problems.
Erik and Maska. I would love to know more about them.
Erotica. Enthralling, intimate, very romantic.
I closed my eyes and luxuriated in the feel of them against me. Erik’s skin was hot beneath my body, and Maska had lifted one leg to slide it between ours. If I held my breath, I could almost hear the sounds of our hearts beating.
All in all Replicant is a very original story, with interesting and beautiful scenery and culture. But the depiction of the characters and their motivations are superficial....more

Despite the shortness of the story, the world building and character’s backgrounds are, though not fully, pretty well-drawn. Still, it's like a chamber drama, with only three characters, and very limited scenery. I would love to read more about the fantasy world, and to know more about the personalities of the characters.
I’d never been the type to apologize or feel bad for sex. For me, it was a natural part of life—one of the best parts.
The first person point-of-view of Lux also narrows the possibility to be engaged with the male characters.
Though Lux, Kol, and Egan are equal partners in this relationship, I felt Kol and Egan’s story more pronounced because of their common past, common loss, and the mystery surrounding the nature of their relationship.
It’s more a romance than a steamy erotic story: I expected more erotica.
I was in love with them. Completely and utterly in love with them. Mind blowing sex aside, I wanted to get deeper under Kol’s skin, to know who he was to his core. I wanted to make sure Egan continued smiling and being outrageous and never woke alone from a nightmare. I wanted to watch them fuck each other, love each other…and I wanted to be a part of that.
Interesting, romantic story with the appropriate amount of drama. Too bad it’s too short.

"I need to figure out how to land an Alanten."
The story The setting is an infirmary on a spaceship, somewhere in the galaxy. Mercy, and two Alanten warriors, Dray and his brother Conrad are waiting for the doctor’s arrival, pretty impatiently.
“When that doctor comes back, I’m gonna kill him.”
Dray has suffered a serious injury, and the doctor mistakenly believes he is human, and treats him with a medicine that has a side effect for Alantens, namely it triggers mating heat. It is fatal for Dray if he can’t find a suitable mate.
There is no other female on the ship, only Mercy. Mercy has no intention of letting him die, and they have been secretly in love with each other for ages.
My Thoughts Despite its shortness, the story is quite detailed: from the small details about their childhood and life, through the characteristics of the Alanten race, to the name of the planets in the Galaxy, the world-building is genuinely written.
The physical aspects of bonding, as well as the spiritual and mental ones are really engaging. So is the humor. The bar scene is hilarious!
“You’re tight,” Dray moaned, his fingers resuming their work, stroking and stretching her as Mercy thrust into his touch. “Tighter than I’m used to.” “My social life sucks,” she gasped, pushing her hips against his hand shamelessly. “My best friends are overprotective Alanten warriors. Dates are few and far between.”
