I started this series don't feeling very optimistic about them... but here I am, just finishing the last book and actually tearing up. The beginig andI started this series don't feeling very optimistic about them... but here I am, just finishing the last book and actually tearing up. The beginig and some parts of the book were too repetitive and kinda boring to read, cause Lazarus will be chasing Death and trying to kill him but being so overlly clueless and then he just leaves and bla bla bla. It was mostly the same way with the rest of the books.
The only reason I'm giving 4 stars and not less, is because the ending was uterly beautiful and it made me cry with many emotions. It was very well writted and it gave closure to the series in a really good way.
I think I will miss them, especially Death and Famine lol. We'll se if I end uo re reading in the future....more

I liked it cause Grey, but I don't know... the beginning of the is not great, Lia Mara was such a dumb character at the beginning and it makes me angry. Thankfully her character developed well! I'm worried for the next book with all what happened at the end. I want to read the next book asap!...more

Anna is a great character and I really liked her. Qhuan still is my love, I swear he is an angel. I want one like him! The only thing I didn't actually like was how rushed the plot was. I feel like there were a lot missing, especially at the end. But overall, I loved it and Helen is a great author!...more
Okay! Let's talk about this book. I can't help but think that Defy Me is more of an informative book than anything. Not so much action, more revelationOkay! Let's talk about this book. I can't help but think that Defy Me is more of an informative book than anything. Not so much action, more revelations of the past, things like that. Which is not bad, because now we understand Juliette (Ella) backgrounds and even Aaron (Warner) too. I was a bit disappointed at the lack Kenji POVs. I need more of him! I love him!
I'm okay with this plot in general, I just want to read the last one and see what finally happens! ...more
