Firstlife was a good-enough book, but this one just wasn’t for me. Ten’s obsession with numbers really irritates me and the fact that she uses exclaimation marks every four or five sentences was the most distracting thing ever while I was reading. (And why does she have to say ‘Zero!’ in every single chapter?)
P.S The scene at the beginning was literally the worst battle scene I’ve ever read in my life. The writing was just bad. Finally deciding to DNF-ing this book was the best choice I’ve made....more

Sorry, I just had to DNF this one. This book is good; it definitely is. I love the idea of the story, how mysterious the characters are, but the writing style is way too poetic and confusing to me. The constant switch of characters' focus/perspective and the timeline changing didn't make it any better and made me even more confused about what in the world the book is actually talking about....more

It’s unfortunate that I had read the first three books of the series only to DNF the final one, but I had to. I just couldn’t stand this book anymore. Personally, I enjoyed Hush Hush a lot, but the series went downhill after Crescendo. The plot wasn’t even original anymore and even the romance became over-repetitive. Nora, as always, was an annoying, immature and stubborn protangonist who always did the exact opposite of what she was told. Patch, on the other hand, was the same as he had always been in the first book and that was the bad part because that only made his character became more boring every book.
I knew this series wasn’t for me as soon as I found out about Nora’s amnesia. The whole event that had occured in Silence was 75% irrelevant to the whole series and therefore was perhaps the first time I ever considered DNF-ing this series. But it was until this book that I finally realized it wasn’t worth my time anymore. The beginning was okay, in fact, got me back into this series. However, as it went on, things just kept becoming worse and worse, and honestly, Nora’s POV did not help....more
