This story centers around mates, Feodor ( hound) and Joel (human). Unlike the stories before, the mating kicks off at the very beginning. However, because of misunderstood intentions and lack of communication these mates struggle to find common ground from the get go.
This story has a bit more angst than the others, and it makes for a better achieved HEA. I am. Liking this series more and more. 💖

Thankful that each saved soul is so diverse the reader can actually despise them... until we learn the truth of their back story. As was the case this time. I don't want to give too much away, but I will say, cultures that breed hate along with severe brainwashing techniques in young children is what led to much of the chaos and angst for the two MCs.
I also read in one review where someone was criticizing the model on the cover for not looking Japanese, when the MC is. So, I wanted to address that for anyone who might read reviews in the future and be dissuaded from reading the book/ series based on bad publishing. The MC in this story is only half Japanese. The other half is English(his father was British navy). His parent's relationship a big part of why he is Nephilim. Guess the reviewer skipped over that part. 😉

While I was happy with the story, it ended wayyyy too soon. The mates, Mal and Petro, both hounds, didn't complete their mating bond, securing them as eternal mates. Only half of the ritual was done early on in the story to save Mal. I feel this was a very important piece to their HEA that was left out.
This was a pleasant surprise in the realm of MPREG.

This was a pleasant surprise in the realm of MPREG.
The gods of mount Olympus have been cursed by the goddesses and thus unable to procreate demigod for centuries. Finding the Oracle's prophecy may have finally come to pass, Zeus leaves his marble throne in search of his mortal "spark," in hopes the prophecy is true.
I enjoyed this quick read romance and only wish it had been longer, so the reader could have enjoyed how the relationship evolved between Zeus and Can once the two were together on Olympus.
Hopefully we will see more of them in the series.
All in all a good read. Although, I kept wanting to correct the spelling of goddess' to goddesses'. 3.50 🌟🌟🌟...more

Dag not only comes from one of the oldest hound lines to serve hell, but his litter is a century old. His mate is one of the saved souls and a 24 yr old virgin to boot. These two have nothing in common other than how fate brought them together.
Their story is sweet, and Dag's sense of humor (very dry) made me laugh out loud once or twice.
Still enjoying this series. If I had anything to complain about, it would be that i wished each one was longer. Thankfully this seriKeep 'em rollin...

This book was filled with more emotions than a Christmas stocking is filled with candy! I am not typically drawn to Christmas stories, but once the first chapter ended... MAN! I was not able to put it down til I read the last word.
The story opens with the madness surrounding Black-Friday shopping, and one of our MCs, Jordan, is working retail and having to deal with the wonders and joys that come with all the maniacal BF shoppers. This is only one of Jordan’s many jobs, including the fact that this young man has been trying to work his way through college for years. He lost both parents before he was born (shocked? Read the book to find out how. 😊), making him an orphan at birth. It was the next to the last line in chapter one that had me hooked.
If that wasn’t enough, chapter two takes off and you read a two-word phrase and panic ensues and does NOT let up for a while. Like I said…emotions. Phew.
For the first two thirds of this book I found myself so rocked with raw emotion, and wanting to fight for all of the injustices shown to Jordan (it’s a momma thing). But, as is often the way in Cole’s writing, through the other Characters’ personalities, (Noah, Lucy, and Kenny), valuable lessons are taught. Lessons of Hope- Uncle Kenny, Perseverance- Lucy, Love and Friendship- Noah.
There are so many obstacles and fears that the characters have to overcome to reach their HEA, and reach it they do. (You may need tissues) I am trying so very hard not to give spoilers, so I am just going to include triggers instead. **triggers, warnings (obstacles): M/M sex scenes, interracial couple, mall shooting, child trauma, cancer victim

Only three books in and still have quite a long way to go in the series. That being said, this is my favorite so far. I was kind of iffy in the beginning, but as the story progressed it got better and more engaging.
The two fated mates in this book, Tierney(hound) and Kellan(human), have a sweet enough love story. However, it's the stories going on around them this time that help move things along at a pace the reader can enjoy.
In book 2 Brian, just keeps adding to his already precariously balanced plate. Wanting to keep th"--it just got real! " 😱

In book 2 Brian, just keeps adding to his already precariously balanced plate. Wanting to keep the world safe, he agrees to be the sub for a Demon King. Doing so while still coming to terms with the fact that his mate is the eternally delicious male, Raphael.
Will Brian come to embrace his male lovers or will he continue to rebel against his inner cravings and desires??? Hmmm... Guess I'll have to continue on to book 3 to see. Loving this series so far....more
