I think I can easily say this was one of the best mangas I’ve ever read in my life. Like, seriously. Everything, from the main character to the plot to the art, was just absolutely amazing. Shin’ichiro Sakamoto’s art made me stop countless times throughout the story just to admire it, because it was literally that gorgeous. And the story, though really heartbreaking and raw, had me so hooked that I ended up finishing the entire thing in less than a week. As someone who climbs sporadically and knows people who do it often, this story hit especially close to home. That was actually one of the reasons why I loved it so much, but honestly, even if I wasn’t familiar with climbing, I’m sure I would have loved it just as much....more
