I want the two of us to be on the same team when we play Pictionary with our families, and—” He pressed a firm kiss against my lips. “I want to give you the world, Jamie. Let me. Fredrik Backman, please never stop writing.
"I know who you are,” I said, without a single tremor in my voice. “You’re death.” The woman frowned and looked deeply, deeply offended. “I’m not death,” she muttered. “I’m not my job."
"It’s bloody awful to admit to yourself that you’re not the kind of person you’ve always thought you were."

Extremely predictable, boring at times and with some sentences that left me with the questionable look, but I once again enjoyed it. Novellas are usually a miss for me, to be honest I rarely like them, but those from this series surprised me quiet positively. The ratings in them are pretty low, so I'm probably in the minority here, but what can I say, I liked them.
The heroes here seem like your typical villains at first, but then they turn out to be the biggest softies with dirty minds, which is the perfect combo for me. How can I not like the Reaper who is feared by everyone around but who blushes whenever he is near the heroine? Not to mention talks dirty?
“Ride my face, Princess.”
I don’t even care about the digital footprint adding this quote. That's the hottest thing a man can say in a romance book okay, except maybe "here's the card, buy whatever you want." So in conclusion, I obviously end up liking the hero, the heroine too. I liked that she was both a sweet and soft princess, but was also able to fight for herself and for what she wanted.
I don't even know if there will be more novellas in this series, but if there is, I'm seated....more

Oh wow, it was actually good. I literally cried at one point, and it was sixty pages long. It turned out to be much more than just a short romance novella and I couldn't be more happier about it.
