It’s whimsical, somber, and makes you feel like you’re floating in some transcendent, peaceful realm of wonder. I absolutely loved this story and the characters, and found the unique writing style to distinguish it from any other YA fantasy I’ve read, even though the plot and premise is not 100% original (not a critique because nothing truly is).
Highly recommend for fans of descriptive, whimsical writing and YA enemies to lovers fantasy romances that don’t feel cliche....more

Gus’s grief, addiction, and emotional journey left me with feelings of sadness for him but and gratitude for those in my life. I also have to say I loved Scout, much more than Keller. Still upset that Kate and Gus didn’t get together instead, but at least we got a happy ending now, right? ...more
Harmon artfully crafts a story of friendship, loss, and resilience that also challenges the notion of beauty being what defines us and our worth. EachHarmon artfully crafts a story of friendship, loss, and resilience that also challenges the notion of beauty being what defines us and our worth. Each page was filled with emotion and whimsical writing that made the mundane settings seem other worldly. While some of the message was overtly written, much of it was understated and none of it felt out of place. Each character felt authentic and their fates and emotions as real as the floor beneath my feet.

While this was cringy and Romero’s switch from platonic to romantic love was not that believable, I still found it pretty enjoyable and the plot to be slightly less repetitive.

Most of All You, like Archer's Voice, is a contemporary romance tinged with tragedy yet is still heartwarming. Surprisingly, I didn't find any part to be slow despite a somewhat lengthy and repetitive exposition. My one qualm is that nothing about the plot or writing was especially emotional or distinct; two days after finishing the novel, my memory of it is already somewhat hazy. Despite that, I really enjoyed this....more

"We are children of fallen gods and lost empires. We are the memories of bones in the plains. And we are more than they ever thought we would be."
Children of Fallen Gods is just as fantastic, if not superior to Daughter of No Worlds. The plot, romance, twists, and development of the secondary characters! Perfection.
Children of Fallen Gods picks up soon after DONW, where we continue to follow Max and Tisaanah's journey in the war with Reshaye. We are also introduced to a new character and POV that really threw me for a loop towards the end!
Other than the huge plot twist that I did not predict, Helene Nura was a highlight of this book for me.
"Maybe one day you'll stand where I do. You'll cut away every weakness. You'll make every sacrifice. And then the world will look at you and sneer at your inhumanity as if you didn't just become everything they told you to be."
Learning more about her past, not just with Max and the Orders but with Reshaye and the Fey, gave her character much more dimension and intrigue. Aefe, the new character, offered a somewhat uneventful POV at first but her story picks up quickly so I didn’t mind. Max and Tisaanah were amazing, as always.
I can’t wait for the finale; Broadbent has yet to let me down. Only a few more months of waiting ...more

I've found it! I've fucking found a well-rounded, technically good but entertaining NA fantasy romance that doesn't make me want to jump off a cliff!

I didn't have high expectations whatsoever because if we're all being honest, most YA "enemies to lovers fantasy" is pretty generic and one-note. I still love that shit but it's true. NA is the same story but instead, it's mostly just smut. Again, not necessarily bad, but rarely great enough to truly leave an imprint on you long after you put the book down. Or maybe I just have really bad PTSD from a certain booktok shitshow From Blood and Ash.
Daughter of No Worlds was most definitely not that.
Tisaanah's traumatic past felt real and surprisingly not corny, especially because it was not "overdone" to make us pity her. Her decisions, albeit reckless, were understandable and admirable. She exhibited deep appreciation and selflessness for others and was a total badass without having to show it with "male" qualities or putting down other women. (Yes, the bar is that low)
Max was perfect in every way and if you disagree then go argue with a wall.
All I could think was that I loved her. I hadn't told her that. . . I'd never felt any greater certainty. . . I stood with her, only her, until the end of our stories. But I refused to allow hers to be a retelling of mine.
. . . *screams*
Max and Tisaanah have such fluid, natural chemistry. It wasn't sexual (at first) which is rare to find in this subgenre and makes it much easier to connect with their story. They pick up on each other's habits and likings, read each other perfectly, and carry out the "I love you but don't wanna say it" trope without annoying the hell out of me. I was smiling and internally screaming when they were together. I am dead. Literally deceased.
I loved all the side characters, but I'd love to learn more about Zura in book 2.
Altogether, this book is fucking amazing. Daughter of No Worlds is such a magical (literally and figuratively) and heartfelt portrayal of the lengths we will go for the ones we love. It's sweet, playful, with a mild amount of angst— basically one of the best combinations of fantasy and romance I've ever come across in NA/YA. Anyone and everyone, GO READ IT!...more
