This storOutplayed is the second book I’ve read by Courtney W. Dixon. It was exactly the story I needed and I loved every minute of Cooper and Aspen.
This story flowed so effortlessly and Cooper and his people pleasing self spoke to me; I loved this football superstar and how different he was from a normal jock. He had the weight of the world on his shoulders but he was so down to earth and simple. I loved that.
And gosh, did I love Aspen. His feel spirit and attitude about life, you couldn’t help falling in love with the person he was. He was also such a hard, dedicated worker. Bartender and lead singer in a band, he checked all the boxes.
I normally hate a third act breakup but Courtney did it so well. I was dying when these boys feel apart. They both wanted the relationship so badly, but didn’t know how to just grab it by the hand and take their happiness. I truly believe it was needed for this book. Cooper hand to learn to put him and his wants above his family, friends, football and the world. He needed to see how this decision and being away from Aspen would affect him.
Courtney this was marvelous. Thank you for letting me ARC read for you. I truly love this. ...more
Crown of Disguise by Lola Malone was everything I never knew I needed. I am so obsessed with Gaël and I can’t forget our sweet Dominique. The journey Crown of Disguise by Lola Malone was everything I never knew I needed. I am so obsessed with Gaël and I can’t forget our sweet Dominique. The journey this book took me on, heartbreaking and emotional, at the same time being every filthy dream I’ve ever had.
I loved the suspense and mystery behind Alpha Fraternarii. The gothic vibes and Lola’s attention to details, captured me. I’ve been back in my dark romance era lately and this fully gave me what I was looking for. Favorite scenes are the scene against the piano in the woods, and Dominique tied up in Gaël bed...more

I’ve been wanting to read this forever and I picked it up after my own heart was broken. I wanted something captivating, dark and with some enemies to lovers vibes. You more than delivered.
I was already bruised and bleeding when you instantly hooked me with this one but my god you obliterated my heart and then helped heal it. I don’t know what you put in this book but it’s my drug of choice, I’m completely addicted.
Brandon “Bran” King - (oh my soul cried for you and I wanted to hug you the entire time, and let our kindred spirits heal together.) Bran appears to be Mr. Put together on the outside, he follows a rigorous schedule and everything is about keeping control. He hides his demons so well from everyone. His internal POV broke me more and more as the story continued. I loved the artist in him, the meaning behind his #newday post, his running and just his overall fight to keep living.
Nikolai “Niko” Sokolov - is a Bratva prince, he is feral, obsessive, possessive and it’s well known that he likes men and women. He is also lethal and completely unhinged with a sweet tooth. Niko has tattoos for days, gives the best nicknames and has a pierced d*ck. (Sign me up)
Bran and Niko both have some wonderful family and friends. Their families were so unexpected to me but I was completely won over. Bran’s dad, Levi giving Niko a hard time was so much fun to read.
This book packs a punch. I encourage you to read all the trigger warnings before picking it up, if you don’t have any triggers then enjoy. I felt every single emotion while reading this- I laughed, I cried, I threw my kindle and wanted to scream. Books that pull so much from me, always end up as my favorites.
This may not to be a love story to some but to me, Rina you did a beautiful job with this one.
I loved the constant push and pull with Nikolai and Brandon. I loved the fire that burned between them and the hate Bran spewed to keep his walls intact. Did I mention, I loved the fight? Hate f*cking is hands down, the best. I love Niko’s determination and I don’t give a fuck attitude. I love how committed he was and how he showed up after he was told not to. Psychotic, maybe? I loved the text messages and how obsessed these two became over each other. Then comes Bran’s possessive side and that had to be one of the hottest parts for me.
Example: “You better remember who the fuck you belong to, Nikolai..”. And Meagan has melted ...more

When Troy starts struggling with math, which has never been an issue, Atlas decides to help him out the best way he knows how. Which of course, is to make a bet, to push Troy to do better, so he comes out on top.
The passion between these two is unreal, their chemistry is off the charts. These two stepbrothers first time lites a fire and it burns so bright and so good.
They love to lay their claim with each other and are both a bit possessive. I love the energy they excluded. This has become one of my favorite stepbrother romances.

Paul has been in love with his best friends for years but kept it a secret. Brendon thinks Paul is straight and therefore off-limits. When Brendon becomes his college roommate, it test all of Paul’s limits. Things heat up rather quickly between these two.
Andi Jaxon gives us two tortured boys with hard past. Reading about what they went through broke me a little. I just wanted to bundle them up and love them a little extra.
Brendon is constantly needing extra little touches and reassurance, which Paul easily gives to him. Brendon just wants to be loved for who he is and to no longer have to wear the mask he hides behind.
Paul has abandonment issues, and swore he would never fall in love after his father left him. He is afraid of losing Brendon and what it would do to him.
This story takes you through the journey of overcoming your fears, and accepting who you are. Teaching you that it’s ok to love and that you are not your parents. You also learn the right ones loved you along the way, despite what you may have thought.
Paul is quite the dirty talker. I loved how he could go from so dominant with Brendon to so sweet. The chemistry with these two as well as the spice level was amazing. You couldn’t ask for more from a book.
Please read the list of trigger warnings before picking this one up.

I know you’re probably convincing yourself otherwise, even right now, but keep that in mind.”
Let’s just start by saying I never knew “rabbit” was an endearment. At first I was like no, that just doesn’t do it but the more I read and got to know these characters I was ok, let’s roll with it. These two are just precious together.
Virgin Hearts by Emmy Sanders is Hawthorne’s and Mateo’s book. This was so sweet and inspiring. I loved the cozy feel of it.

There was a pleasantness of acceptance in this book between Hawthorne and Mateo and it was just so sweet. The way they handled each other and situation so delicately was beautiful. They let themselves be vulnerable and open with each other without judgement and I love it.
Another amazing book Emmy Sanders. This was an incredible read and I can’t wait to continue reading this series.

Jessie’s parents get divorced and then his mom moves to Australia, taking Jessie with her. His dad, Greg meets Rachel who has a son named Luke. The two get married making Luke and Jessie stepbrothers. Apparently there’s a moment at the wedding where Jessie has been drinking and the two kiss. Jessie and his mom go back to Australia and the pandemic hits. His father or no one else gets to see him for a couple years because of this. Afterwards, Jessie moves back home with his dad, he is 20 now and Luke is 19. Him and Luke live out in the guest house together.
(This is where I would like to insert the, And so it begins meme from The Lord of The Rings but I don’t know how.)
So, Jessie supposedly has this bad boy persona, but he doesn’t come off all that bad boyish. It feels more like he is closed off, sad and confused. Like he doesn’t know how to express himself correctly or feels like he freely cannot. Like maybe he isn't free to be himself. He gets angry a lot but equally holds his feelings in. He seems a bit touchy-feely to me; I think his parents' divorce caused a lot of this.
Luke is a gentle, fun, free-caring, loving, sweet individual. He gets question if he’s really so sweet a few times. I would say he is sweet, fun, loving and adventurous with a little devil on his shoulder. These two are so much fun together. I loved reading this, the tension between these two is fire.
Luke is the one who instigates more between them in the beginning and pushes Jessie some to get what he wants. He seems to want the relationship more until you get Jessie’s POV. Jessie’s inter-monologue is about how much he wants Luke and how it’s a terrible idea. How he’ll only hurt Luke and destroy him. So he tries to hold himself back. Jessie hears Luke through their bedroom wall and tells him he can hear everything he is doing. Jessie starts giving him directions on how to pleasure himself. The story grows from there.
Jessie’s mom is literally worst characters. I literally hated her from the beginning. Jessie’s mom is a selfish, manipulative pos. She causes him so many unnecessary issues. Lucky for us, Luke always pulls him back.
Firstly, I love this so much because there is no third act break up. God, thank you for that. Bonus points for not beating a dead horse. The third act break up is so tired. Secondly, When Luke and Jessie start to come out to their parents, they don’t even bat an eye and then call them out on it because they already knew. Everyone just accepts the news and moves on. They are happy for them and support the relationship. it's just so sweet. Also, I enjoyed the scenes where Jessie and Luke were intimate without sex, just loving each other and it being enough. Plus, Jessie started drawing again, which I love he found pleasure again in something he lost. The five-year time jump was excellent and filled in some blanks, especially as far as Jessie’s mom was concerned. I love that it was added to the story....more

This is my first book by this author and I believe it’s only her second book she has released. She did an amazing job with this one. I love Shaw and Burkie. These two have my heart.
These two hockey players navigate a relationship from friends to wanting more with each other. They are both so reserved and afraid to tell each other how they really feel. I’m sure a sucker for the platonic handholding and cuddling. They started falling asleep together before they even realize they could be anything together. There is just a comfort between them and I am living for it.
Burkie knew he was gay but was keeping it under wraps because of how he was raised, Shaw was more bi-curious and wanted to try being with a guy but kept backing out. They finally told each other and decided to start trying things together.
I just adored this book and if you love sport romance you should give it a try....more
