Then Mike is injured and when he calls her for help, she gets him to the hospital. Soon after he's released and is healing, LilyAnn needs his help really badly even as she turns out to help herself as well, thus making herself a local hero, after which their misunderstandings and "we're just friends" assumptions are cleared away in light of their actual love for each other, finally acknowledged.
