It’s easy to follow and the story makes me want to go back and see the build up. Lars is really close to being my favorite character of the year. I loved the development of the relationship between him and his Druid. They were the definition of enemies to lovers with only the sexual charge pushing them along at first. It wasn’t instalove. It took time, no patience, and tragedy to help them get there. ...more

It was 100% a rant. The book has triggers but isn’t as dark as most think. It’s all purely physical anguish. Not bone deep psychological trauma. Cause I have definitely drowned in a few that will have you crying by the end. I was a good dark dive though and definitely stood up to the expectation I had. Most either loved it or hated it. I see why. ...more

She made the wrong choice at every turn. And that’s really what this story is about. The choices a person makes in the name of whatever it is they stand for. I understand the process of wanting to save a broken soul but Maisie took it too far and it was costing her everything. Wilder was a whole fractured story of his own. The definition of broken. Or maybe not. He was shaped into the man he became. Broken emotions doesn’t really make him broken. He does what he is told. Makes the right decisions for the family, all the way to the end. ...more

The ending was just wow. Even though it was rushed. I definitely thought someone else was the killer the whole time. There are soooo many suspect people in the little town that a sentence can condemn just about anyone. Simple amazing. However, if i had to read one more chapter of the cat and mouse game i would have just quit. It was on the line of being too much and starting to interfere with the mystery. Which i guess was intentional to build suspense but damn, give me a break. There’s only so close i can stand to the edge trying to reach the clouds before i decide to make a jump for one. ...more

I must say that the telling of a good story is when the sexual is all background noise. And believe me there was a lot of sex but i found myself rushing through those shorts scenes to get back to the crazy. Natalie has a brilliant way of weaving a tale with just enough to keep you on the end of your seat. Hell i still don’t understand what’s going on and the ending definitely didn’t help!!! ...more

I originally thought i would be lost because I couldn’t remember a thing about the first book but Ker supplied enough clues along the way to keep me going. The crazy is amplified big time around Ryan. I didn’t know what was true or what was truly even happening. An amazing read. The ending will leave you speechless. ...more

Which by the way would have made this a 5 star read!! He was such a dark, damaged soul. As for Samantha, she actually made me laugh at times. Especially the part about her Stockholm syndroming herself. Definitely not her brightest moment. Although she was the cliche kidnapped victim, she surprised me with her will of defiance. ...more
