I want to give this book justice by elaborating my review. The stories are short and steamy with BDSM and they're centered around Chateau Follet, a place where all inhibitions are left at the door and what's good for the goose is good for the gander.
I particularly liked the cousin switching story and I'm intrigued by what happens next. The last story is a pseudo adultery (take note of the word pseudo) and I'd like to also know what happens next.
The stories were expertly written to make the reader wonder how the relationships would develop (or if they would), and if there's love along the way.
The scenes were sensual and arousing and both characters' perspectives were presented. Enjoy this on a cold day or just anytime you feel the need.

I found that Angelette was too stubborn but she held on to her principles. She didn't take the easy way out but instead used her resources to save lives.
This was centered around the time in France where peasants began a revolution against the nobility and took up arms.
This is a retelling and while it started out slow, the pace picked up.
I just found too many redundant arguments and in the end, Hugh gave in....more

I found myself drawn to the story that I couldn't wait what happens next. I can't compare it to Cinderella but it has that theme as well as Beauty and the Beast.
Rosamund is the perfect heroine. She's strong and self-reliant even in the face of being destitute. She's also resourceful and most of all, proper. It's her noble nature that draws people to her and she's not one of those annoying too-perfect characters too.
There's the Duke of Swanhaven, Aubrey, who Rosamund nursed back to life. The character development was there and it was obvious those two would end up together.
A lot of side stories later, there's an HEA just like in the fairy tales. ...more

I understand it may not be for everyone. I appreciate that it's not insta-lust or insta-love. Rex and Mary's story was a slow burn and it was quite comical that beside their enjoyment of the pleasures in the bedroom, their love and feelings for each other grew. ...more

I can't help but compare this with the first Bridgerton novel in the sense that the hero hates his father, a duke, and as revenge, vows to never have heirs and therefore discontinue the bloodline.
All other aspects are original and I'm a piano player myself so I enjoyed the music bits.
The story was moving. It was obvious that Margaret and Welles both developed and their love blossomed. A few of the characters made the journey sweeter.
